FINALLY, HERE WAS PARIS! I’d just landed and a car had been waiting for me at the airport to drive me to my new house.
I looked around and I couldn’t believe my eyes. It was a shock to my entire system. I wondered where was the town I’d been reading about in all those novels I couldn’t put aside.
There was a lot of litter in the street, and I could hear an infernal noise through the window of the car. The decibels were off the scale. The traffic was exactly as at home, if not worse! I was afraid during the entire ride home because I wasn’t sure that I’d get in one piece to my destination.
I tried to find my heart and I pushed myself mentally, ‘don’t dare to get disappointed! It is just a first impression after a long flight and sometimes first impressions lie. Wait
