Chapter 12 : Buster in trouble

Felicity was shocked to see how furious that pup was. He was running behind Jason while showing his sharp teeth which made Jason's face paled. He was about to run toward Anderson's brothers, that little brown far barked at Jason and pounced on him. Jason yelped and pleaded loudly to his friend Enrique Anderson by saying, "Dude, help me. Why the hell your dog hates me?" 

He was jerking his left leg so that his friend's little puppy left his leg, but everything went in vain went that pup bit Jason's leg, and tore that fabric out from his jeans. Felicity gasped in horror. Emmett Anderson went for Jason's rescue. But he couldn't move that little far away from his brother's friend. 

Jason looked at Rosalyn with a hard glare and snarled, "Did you mix something in those cookies, Rosalyn? How could you use this not so innocent- Ahh! Dammit!" That dog somehow got to know Jason was still humiliating his new friend. So, he bit Jason's leg again which made Jason cried out in pain and fell to the ground. That little pup jumped on Jason and began biting all over Jason's body harshly.

Felicity wanted to go for Jason's rescue. After hearing his accusation of feeding something to that brown far to make that innocent puppy turned furious, she became angry and disappointed. She thought that boy deserves to be punished. She became shocked to see how that little pup was defending her by fighting for her. Her eyes teared up while thinking someone was protecting her after their first-ever meet. Animals are more reliable than humans. She thought. She blinked back her tears and looked at that pup.

Felicity frowned at Jason and said pointedly, "He is attacking you because you are a liar. He is a dog. He can easily tell who is the liar here because they are not more complex than us the human." Jason glared at her. Jerking his leg, he gritted out to that furious pup, "Leave my leg, you beast."

That pup was angry. Jason was frightened of that dog. Emmett was shocked to see their pet who was behaving unusually. Their pet, Buster used to be a calm dog. Even though he was not a friendly dog, but he never acted ferociously before. He never bit anyone before. What brings a change in him today! He though. Felicity was staring at that pup worriedly. Should I at least try once to stop him? She asked herself. She thought it would be better if she tries for once. She walked toward them to stop that angry little pup. 

No one glanced at Enrique Anderson. He stood in his spot and his eyes were fixed on Rosalyn. He did not look at his friend or go for his rescue. His expression was unreadable. His brown eyes were cold and sharp. As he watched Roslayn slowly went toward his pet, he ordered in a hard tone to his pet, "Buster, leave him now." Buster whimpered and left Jason's leg immediately. 

Felicity froze on her track and looked at Enrique. She could see hatred visible in his eyes. Why does he hate me? I mean Rosalyn. She thought. For some reason, she knew that Enrique did not like the idea of her going near to his brown far. Even though he ordered his pet to leave his friend, his sharp eyes were fixed on Rosalyn. Felicity pressed her lips in a thin line and stopped herself from taking another step forward. 

Buster looked at his elder master and whimpered more when his eyes fell on Enrique's cold eyes. In fear, he ran toward Felicity and hid behind her. Felicity looked down and found that the pup was giving her pleading eyes. She looked at the Anderson brothers and thought if they were ever going to hit Buster for attacking Jason. She did not know them, but judging by the way they take care of their little pup, she knew that pup was safe. He might get an earful though which was understandable. She smiled at that pup.

She kneeled and took Buster in her arms. Cooing, she said in a hushed tone, "You should not have attacked that boy, you know. And don't worry your masters would never hurt you." As if he understood what Felicity told him. So, he visibly relaxed and rubbed his face against Felicity's chest. Felicity made his face her and said with a serious expression on her face, "They will defiantly scold you." Buster got scared and whimpered. He hid his face in Felicity's arms and peeked at his masters. 

As soon as his eyes fell on Enrique's hard expression, he whimpered and hid his face again. Felicity's face turned to soar to see the fear on that brown fur's face. Emmet came forward and said, "Hey, pup. Let's go home." Looking at Felicity, Buster shook his head in denial. Emmett was surprised and speechless. 

When he heard Enrique's hard tone, "Buster, go home with him. Now." Buster yelped and crying out in sadness. Felicity patted his head. She gave him a small smile and said, "Goodbye, buddy. We will meet again. Don't be scared okay." He was pleading through his eyes to save him. But Felicity did not know what to do. She looked at Emmett and told him softly, "Please forgive him. Wherever he did because he wanted to save me. I am going to take every responsibility for your friend and give him treatment if you let me. And trust me, I did not mix anything in those cookies. I bought that packet from the canteen." Emmett knew she was not lying. He smiled helplessly and said, "I know that. But- " He was cut off by his elder brother who said, "Emmett, take Buster home now. You don't have to talk with her. I am going to deal with her about what happened here." Jason was happy. He smirked wickedly at Rosalyn and Buster.
