It's been a few days and I haven't stopped thinking about mine and Dayton's date. I know I didn't exactly cause what happened to him but it happened because of him kissing me. I don't want him to have to go through that every time we kiss. Well if we kiss again. Who knows he may not ask me out again. I figured I would go talk to Anna and see if there was a way to prevent it from happening if he asked me out again. I told mama Amanda I was going to go see Anna and I headed to hers and Jakob's room. When I got there I knocked and I heard Anna yell come in. When I opened the door, I saw Silas I walked over to him and kissed the top of his head, and said Aunt Wist loves you, sweet boy. He squealed. I asked Anna if she needed any help when I saw her trying to dress the girls and she said she did because Juniper didn't want clothes on and Cassia kept pitching a fit to be held. I asked Anna where Jakob was and she told me he had to go with Hardin to check out a new job. I picked Cassia up and went to sit on the couch. I asked if she needed a bottle and she told me she had just eaten but was being a fussy butt. I stood her up on my legs and played with her until Anna came into the living room with Juniper.
She put her in her swing and then put Cassia in hers. I asked her why she had the triplets and she said Aspen had some stuff to take care of and she wanted to spend time with them. She asked if I was ok. I told her I was fine I just needed some advice. She asked what kind of advice and I explained what happened on mine and Dayton's date. She told me it was normal for guys to get excited like that if they find the girl to be very attractive or are kissing a girl they really like. I told her Dayton explained it to me and she asked if he tried to go any further than kissing. I told her he was a gentleman and asked if he could kiss me. She asked if I felt pressured into saying yes to him and I told her I didn't. I told her I was the one who wanted to kiss him and even had an anxiety attack about it. She told me it was ok to be nervous and it was ok to talk to the person about everything I was new to. She asked what advice I was needing and I asked if there was a way to stop it from happening. She sat there for a few minutes and then told me she didn't know if there was or not. She knew that a guy could possibly stop it but as far as me, she didn't think there was anything I could do. She asked if we were going to go out again and I told her I didn't know because I hadn't heard from Dayton since.
I sat there with Anna for a while and then we headed to the packhouse. When we got upstairs the door was open and the baby gate was up. I could hear Aspen humming. Anna told her about the struggle she went through trying to get them dressed. I stepped over the gate and said there must be something in the milk. Aspen stopped what she was doing and sighed. She said,
"I know. I have chased them for an hour before trying to get them dressed but every time I manage to get one dressed and work on the next I looked back to see the first one naked again. These 3 are keeping me on my toes that's for sure."
I laughed and said how are you able to chase them and not pass out from exhaustion? I know you must be tired carrying number 4. Aspen sighed and said,
"I am tired but I have to keep up with the triplets. If not I know they will be into everything."
I looked at the pups and said ok you 3, be good for your mommy, and Aunt Wist will give you some cookies later. Silas stopped dead in his tracks and said "ooooookies" Juniper and Cassia both stopped and walked up to Aspen. She looked at me and then back at the pups and said,
"Ok, I am going to have to try that from now on. I don't know why I didn't think to bribe them."
I laughed and helped her with putting Silas's shoes on. I asked where they were off to and she told me they were going to the pack park. I told her I would help her get the pups down there and she told me thank you. When we got to the park, Aspen asked how the date went and decided to keep the exciting part to myself since it was her brother. I told her that we had a good time and I enjoyed dinner. She asked what all we did and I said we went to eat and then we went and sat and enjoyed the view. She said that surprised her and I asked why, She told me that Dayton isn't used to dating and that this was new to him as well. I laughed and told her I knew about his past and that we talked about it on our date. She told me she was glad we had a good time and then she asked if he behaved. I told her he was a gentleman on the date and he didn't pressure me into anything. She said she was glad he behaved and asked if we were going out again. I told her that was one reason I came to see her. She raised her brow and I said I haven't heard from him since and I was wondering if you could ask him if he was going to ask me out again. She said she would call him later on and ask. I told her thank you and we sat there chatting while the pups played.
