After the Alpha and Luna left Ember and I, Doctor Morris told Ember she was going to give her something to start labor. Ember could barely speak without a sob coming behind each word so I asked why. Doctor Morris told us Ember needed to deliver our pup to keep from getting an infection that her wolf wouldn't be able to heal her from. I gave Doctor Morris the consent to give it to Ember and we waited. I mind-linked Van and asked him to get some stuff for Ember for when we got back to our room and he said he would. I told him I would explain what was going on but not right now. I asked Ember if she knew who tripped her and she wouldn't answer me just kept crying. I needed to know who did this so I could make sure they paid for killing our pup. I hope after Ember has calmed down she will be able to tell me.

Ember fell asleep and while she was sleeping I stepped out into the waiting room just outside her door and I rubbed my hands over my face. I asked one of the nurses if they could get me a coffee and the nurse nodded and headed to get it for me. I knew we were going to be here for a while because the last time Ember was checked she hadn't dilated much. When the nurse came back she handed me a cup of coffee and some sugar packs and creamer packs. I made my coffee up and went back to Ember's room. Not long after I finished my cup of coffee, a nurse came in and said she needed to check Ember. She woke her up and started checking her and said it was almost time to push. She stepped out of the room and a few minutes later Doctor Morris came in and said it was time. I didn't know what to expect and I felt like I was in the way so I walked over to the door and stood there. Doctor Morris told me to stand next to Ember and hold her hand as she pushed. Ember started pushing and screaming. I freaked out a little but doctor Morris assured me it was normal and it was just from pain.

After hours of pushing Ember laid back and Doctor Morris moved back from Ember's bed with our pup in her hands. She wrapped our pup in a blanket and asked if we wanted some time with our son. I looked at her and said, son? How far along was she? I thought it was still too early to tell. Doctor Morris said from the ultrasound the pup was smaller than she thought so she assumed Ember wasn't that far along. I said so we have a son? She nodded and I walked over to her and she handed his lifeless body to me and I went and sat in a chair and broke down. Ember sat up and asked me to come sit with her so she could see him. Doctor Morris and the nurse left the room and we sat there and we both cried and loved on our pup. I don't know how much time we were going to be given to spend with him but I am thankful for every minute we had with him. Ember and I had been going over names for a few days and she asked what we were going to name our boy. I asked what she felt would be right to name him and she said I like the names we both picked out. I kissed our son's forehead and said Daddy loves you, Legolas Epsy Tiffin. I picked out Epsy because it is derived from an old English word that means Aspen. I wanted to thank Alpha Hardin and Luna Aspen for allowing Van and I to stay and become pack members and if it weren't for them I would have never met Ember and gained a new family. Ember chose Legolas because she loves the lord of the rings and he was her favorite character. I think it fits because he looks like her and she is one with nature and Legolas also means green leaves in Sindarin. Our boy is so beautiful and it is killing me that we won't have the chance to watch him grow and gain his wolf.

Doctor Morris came in and asked what to put on his birth certificate and we told her his name. She smiled and said it was perfect for him. She told us we had a few more minutes with him and then she had to take to get him ready. She asked if we wanted him to be cremated or buried and Ember and I decided we wanted him cremated but wanted to bury his ashes after we got some for us to put in a little urn. She said she would let us know when we could pick them up and she would let Alpha Hardin know we wanted to bury his ashes so he could get a plot ready for our pup. Ember and I just loved on Legolas and cried until Doctor Morris came back in to take him.

After Legolas was taken, Ember couldn't stop bawling and ended making herself sick. A nurse came in and put something in an IV to calm her down and said she would probably fall asleep within 10-15 minutes and gave her condolence. When Ember fell asleep I stepped out and asked the nurse to keep and eye on her for about 10 minutes. I told her I was going to step out and would be back soon. I left the pack hospital and ran as fast as I could to the clearing and fell to my knees and punched the ground. I cursed the moon goddess even though I knew she wasn't at fault. I cursed and cried and punched the ground somemore until I got it out and I headed back to be with Ember. As I was walking back down the trail I looked up at the moon and said I will get justice for our son. I will make the wolf responsible pay for taking you away from mommy and daddy, Legolas.
