Brie and I were waiting to hear from Alex about how Ember and the pup were when I got a mind-link from him asking if I could go to the kitchen and get some crackers and Gatorade for Ember. I told him that was no problem and asked how she was. He told me he would explain later and to set everything by the door and said he would get it when he came up. I told him to just mind-link me when he was ready to talk and he said he would. I told Brie I was going to get the stuff Alex asked for and she asked about Ember. I told her I didn't know anything yet, but as soon as Alex updated me, I would let her know.
As I was heading to the kitchen, there was a lot of whispering going on. I asked one of the Omega's what all the whispering was about and she told me it was about what happened with Ember and Myah. I said Myah? As in crazy Daphanie's friend? The Omega said yes and I said I saw her the other day and she doesn't look the same. The Omega told me after Daphanie was locked up and faced her fate, Myah started eating Ergot kernels and injecting herself with small amounts of Wolfsbane, which mixing the two caused her to go off the deep end and into a psychotic state. It has also caused her to lose weight and caused her face to look sunk in. I said, wow she must not have thought she had a life without Daphanie. It's sad to see someone who could have done well in life, sink into a hole like that just because her friend dug her own grave the day she messed with our Luna. The Omega nodded and told me that Myah used to be a very smart young woman, but once she started acting like Daphanie, all her intelligence went out the window. I shook my head and said I would never understand why some people have to act like others just to get attention.
Once the Omega and I finished our conversation about Myah, I asked if she could get me some crackers and Gatorade to take up to Alex and Ember's room. She got what I needed and I went back upstairs. I sat everything outside the door like Alex asked and I went back to mine and Brie's room to tell her it was Myah who tripped Ember.
When I got back to our room and explained to Brie what happened with Ember, Brie was fuming. If we would have been animated, you probably could have seen steam coming out of her ears. She tried to go confront Myah but I wouldn't let her out of our room. She begged me to let her but I had to remind her she didn't need to end up in a fight while being so close to delivering our pup. I told her I would let Alex know it was Myah and him and Ember could deal with it when they get back from the pack hospital.
After Brie and I laid down to go to bed, I felt a sudden sadness wash over me and I sat straight up and began to cry. Brie woke up and asked what was wrong and I told her I wasn't sure. I tried to mind-link Alex but I couldn't get him to answer me. I told Brie something wasn't right and I needed to go check on him. She told me to link her when I got down there.
I quickly got dressed and headed down to the pack hospital. When I got to the nurse's station, I asked for Alex and one of the nurses walked me back to Ember's room and when I opened the door I broke down at what I saw. My brother was sitting there on Ember's bed and he and Ember were crying. Alex was holding a light blue blanket and I instantly knew what was going on. I closed the door and left the pack hospital. I ran as fast as I could back to my room and when I closed the door, Brie got up and hurried over to me. I fell to the ground before she made it to me and I broke down and cried. She asked what was wrong and I told her I wasn't supposed to say anything yet, but Ember and Alex were expecting and when I got to the hospital, I saw them holding a blanket and they were both crying. Brie gasped and she asked if I was saying they lost their pup and I told her yes. She began to cry and she got down on her knees and held me. We both sat there crying. Brie calmed down and said she was going to kill Myah and I told her to stop. I told her she was in no condition to go after her and I was going to go to Alpha Hardin and tell him who it was who did this to my brother and sister-in-law. Brie said she hoped Alpha Hardin and Luna Aspen would allow Ember and Alex to rip Myah apart.
After what seemed like hours, I got up off the floor and sat on the edge of the bed. Brie asked if I knew how far along Ember was and I said I didn't know, but I knew they had just found out a few days ago and from what I saw in the hospital, Alex was holding a blue blanket. Brie pulled me and held me close. She told me I needed to be strong for Alex when they get back and be there for him. I told her I didn't know how to be strong for him. He has always been the stronger one out of the two of us. She told me to just be there for him and let him cry on my shoulder if he needed to. I told her I would try and she pulled me back on the bed to where we were both lying down and not once did she let go of me. I laid there and stared at the wall until the sun crept through the curtains.
