I was out walking the packland on patrol when Alex came up to me and told me that he and Ember talked about everything and they decided to try to have more pups. I told him I was happy for him and that when the time was right I knew that he was going to be a great father. We talked for a few more minutes and then he said he had to get back to Ember. When my patrol shift ended I went back to my room and took a shower. Brie and Faulkner were in the Alpha triplet's nursery with Luna Aspen. After I showered I got dressed and mind-linked Brie and asked if she wanted to go out to eat. She told me she was on her way back down.

When Brie came into our room, I asked where Faulkner was and she told me Luna Aspen offered to watch him so we could have some time to ourselves.

"Well, since the Luna offered to keep Faulkner, why don't we go out on a little date?"

"I would love to go out and get away from the pack house for a little while babe."

"Let me mind-link Alpha Hardin and let him know we are leaving for a few hours just in case I am needed."

I mind-linked Alpha Hardin and let him know what Brie and I were doing and told him we were going to take a uber so I wouldn't have to borrow Alex and Ember's car. He told me to come get the keys to his SUV and I could use it. I thanked him and I told Brie I was going to get the keys to the SUV from the Alpha. I headed to the stairs to go up to Alpha Hardin's office, I saw someone take off down the stairs, and by the time I got to the landing whoever it was, was gone. I shrugged my shoulders and went up to get the keys. After Alpha Hardin gave me the keys, I went and got Brie from our room and we headed out to the closet town. I didn't leave the packlands much unless I was on guard for Luna Aspen or Beta Annalynn. I knew my way around a little but I wasn't comfortable trying to venture away from where I knew. I asked Brie what she felt like and she told me it didn't matter to her as long as she could get a full meal and we were together. I smiled at my mate and grabbed her hand and kissed it.

"Van, you haven't kissed my hand like that since we first got together." she said.

"I know babe and I am so sorry I haven't been the sweet and loving mate you first laid eyes on."

"Evander Tiffin, You are still the sweet and loving mate I first laid eyes on. It's called life, my love. You have been busy with guard duties and patrolling and now we have Faulkner. Life gets hectic and I am perfectly happy with our life. We still make time for one another even if it is only a few minutes. We still have plenty of s*x and I can feel the love from you when we are near each other. I do not wish for more from you, my love." she said to me.

I smiled at Brie and kissed the back of her hand.

"You know I love you more than anything in this world other than our son right?"

"Yes, Van I know you love me and I love you just as much." she replied as I held her hand tight in mine.

"I just wanted to make sure you knew that baby."

We pulled up to a nice little restaurant that I have gone to with the Luna and Beta before. I told Brie this place was really good. We walked inside and were seated as soon as we walked in. The server asked what we wanted to drink and we told her what we wanted and ordered 2 appetizers to share. Brie and I got mozzarella sticks and 8 honey barbecue wings. Brie looked at the menu and smiled when she saw all the choices they had. When our appetizers came Brie ordered Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, and asparagus spears. I ordered cubed steak, mashed potatoes, sweet peas, and okra. When the server took our menus I grabbed Brie's hand and just held it on the table for a minute. We then ate our appetizers and not too long after we finished them, our meals came out. Brie licked her lips and said it looked delicious. She asked how I knew about this place and I told her I had come here with the Luna and Beta once. After taking one bite Brie was moaning at how good it was. I laughed and told her to try and keep her moans down before someone thought we are doing something else. She smirked at me and I felt her foot inching up my leg. I gave her a look and she started laughing.

After we finished our dinner I asked if she wanted dessert and she said yeah but not the kind a restaurant could serve. I raised my brow and she smirked at me. I paid the bill and we left the restaurant. I was headed towards the packland when Brie told me to pull off on a dirt road we were coming up too. I asked her why and she told me I would see.

After I turned down the dirt road, Brie told me to pull over and I did. She got out of the SUV and told me to follow her. I got out and walked around the vehicle. She grabbed my hand and pulled me behind her. I asked where we were going and she didn't respond. When we finally stopped walking, we were in the middle of the woods and through the trees, I could see a small clearing. Brie pulled me forward and we walked into the clearing. The sun was starting to set and the colors coming through the trees were beautiful. Brie laid back on the grass and I laid down with her. We watched as the sun set further into the trees. I propped myself up on my elbow and leaned over and kissed Brie. she put her hand on the back of my neck and pulled me closer to deepen the kiss. When we pulled away from each other, Brie told me she enjoyed our little date. I told her we were going to start making time for ourselves more often. After the sunset, Brie and I got back in the SUV and headed home. I went up to the Alpha triplet's nursery as soon as we got back and took Faulkner back to our room. Brie fed him and changed him and we spent the rest of the night just loving on him.
