{Dayton}

After a major birthday ass-kicking this morning during training, I jumped in the shower. I was standing with my head under the water when I got a sharp pain in my head. I have been getting what I thought were headaches off and on since the night Hardin put the statue in the courtyard. Wyatt said it was my wolf getting ready to come forward but everyone I talked to about it said they didn't get pains like that. My dad said it could be just stress but I am only 18 as of today so what do I have to be stressed about? I got out of the shower and laid back on my bed to try and let my head ease. I didn't even bother getting dressed I just wanted this splitting feeling to go away. I didn't want to be in pain today. I wanted to enjoy my birthday dinner with Wisteria. After I took a nap, I got up and put some shorts on. I walked out on my patio and called Aspen. She yelled Happy birthday little brother into the phone and I had to pull the phone away from my ear. I said can you please not yell? She asked if I was hungover and I said No.

"Aspen, I promised I wasn't going to act like that anymore. I haven't drunk anything since my promise."

"Then what is wrong?" she asked.

"I don't know. Ever since the night Legolas's statue was put in the courtyard, I have had off-and-on splitting pains in my head."

"Dayton, Could it be your wolf?" she asked.

"You sound like Wyatt, sis. He said it was my wolf trying to come forward but I haven't heard from him yet."

"Well, Sapphire didn't come to me until right after I saw Hardin for the first time. Maybe he is trying to come forward but your mind isn't ready for him." she said.

"Well, he needs to stop if that is what it is because I don't want to spend my dinner date with Wisteria feeling like I want to crawl into a hole and die from the pain."

I asked where the pups were and she told me they were with Amanda and Clay she said Amanda came and got them because Hardin accidentally said sh*t in front of the pups and they have been trying to say it so she came and got them to try and take their minds off that word. I laughed and said I can only imagine how bad you chewed his ass out. She laughed and said it was bad and on top of her chewing him out his mom did too. Aspen asked where I was taking Wisteria for our dinner and I told her the name of the place.

"Fantaisie is a nice restaurant, Dayton. Hardin and I have been there once since they opened. Try the Salmon in lemon butter sauce. It is to die for."

"Are you sure you and Wyatt aren't really twins? He said to try that too." I said as I laughed.

"I am positive we aren't but now you see why we are best friends. We are so much alike just different genders."

I told her I was going to get off the phone so I could relax for a bit before I got ready for my date. She wished me happy birthday again and we hung up. I got a mind-link from Wyatt shouting Happy birthday as soon as I hung up with my sister and I shook my head.

** I swear you and my sister could be twins. **

** Let me guess, she yelled it too? **

** Yeah and I have a headache again now. **

** I won't keep you any longer Lil bro. Go enjoy the rest of your day and have fun on your date. Keep your hands to yourself and behave Dayton Cecil Wright. **

** Yes daddy. I'll be a good boy. **

Wyatt busted out laughing as he cut off the mind-link and I laid down on my couch. I closed my eyes and fell asleep. When I woke up I looked at the time and I jumped up. I had just enough time to get dressed and get to Green Moon to pick Wisteria up on time. I quickly got dressed and headed out the door. I mind-linked my dad and told him I was headed to pick Wisteria up and he told me to drive carefully and to behave. When I got to Green Moon I saw there were more guards and patrols out I asked Zeke at the gate what was going on and he said they were still looking for the person who tripped Ember. I asked what she looked like so I could help when I was there and he asked if I remember Daphaine's sidekick Myah. I nodded and he told me her. I said I would keep an eye out and I would alert a pack member if I saw her. He nodded and opened the gate for me.

When I pulled up to the Tifton's house I got out and headed to the door. Mr. Tifton opened the door and wished me a happy birthday. He told me to come and said Wisteria would be out in a minute. I sat down in the living room and Mrs. Tifton came running in and hugged me. She wished me a Happy birthday and said to have fun on our date just not too much fun. I blushed and looked at her. She gave me a funny look and then walked away. Why is everyone telling me to behave? I have been behaving since I started dating Wisteria. I am not stupid I know she is still underage and I wouldn't ask her for anything s****l until she is ready. All we do is kiss and I have talked to her about some s****l-related things but only because she is curious. Wisteria came out and we left to go eat. I ended up ordering what Aspen and Wyatt suggested and Wisteria tried the Lamb. When our food came out and we took a bite, we both moaned at how good the food was. They were right the Salmon is to die for and Wisteria let me try a bite of her lamb and it was amazing. After dinner, we ordered a french apple pie and shared it. Wisteria asked what we were going to do after we left the restaurant and I told her I wanted to take her back to my apartment.

"Dayton, are you sure that is a good idea? I mean it's a 2-hour drive back to Green Moon from Blood-Orange moon. I don't want Mama and Papa to worry if I am late getting back. I don't want them mad at you either."

"It's ok Wisteria. We aren't going to stay long. I figured since it was closer to where we are now, we could go to my apartment and I could show you where I live. I Promise you Wisteria, I will have you home at a decent time and they won't be mad at me. You know what, hold on one second."

I pulled out my phone and called Hardin.

"Hey Hardin, I have a question. Could you please ask your mom and dad if it is ok to take Wisteria back to Blood-Orange moon for about an hour and a half? I swear to you I just want to show her around. No. I don't need you coming to hunt me down. Ugh, why does everyone keep saying behave? I promised everyone I would and I have why would I risk being able to date an amazing young woman like her? I promise you, Hardin, my hands will only hold her hands. Ok, thank you and tell your parents I said thank you as well. I will have Wisteria home around 10:30- 10:45"

When I hung up with Hardin, Wisteria was staring at me. I told her she was fine and no one was going to be mad. We got in the car and headed to my apartment. When we got there, I opened the door and she told me I had a nice apartment. I told her it was Aspen's before she moved to Green Moon. I showed her my room and we went back to the living room and sat on the couch. While we were sitting there, She gave me a gift for my birthday. I opened the bag and pulled everything out. I looked at the stuff she bought me and I told her I loved the gift and said I needed new shoes. She kissed me and I got another sharp splitting pain but it wasn't like before this time it was way worse. I tried to mind-link for help but couldn't get through. Wisteria jumped up and asked if I was ok. I told her to grab my phone and call for help. She said my parents weren't answering. I said to find Trinity or Wyatt's number and call. I heard her talking and heard her say ok Luna. she came back toward me and said Trinity and Wyatt were on their way. A few moments later, my door was kicked open and Wyatt came running in with Trini behind him. He saw the look on Wisteria's face and ran over to her to see if she was ok. All a sudden the pain stopped and I stood straight up and I heard a voice.

"Hello, Dayton."

"I guess you are my wolf?"

"You guessed right. My name is Avalon."

"Wait I had a dream about you and your name was the same."

"I know. I can see from your memories."

I looked up and stared at Wyatt who was holding Wisteria by the arm checking on her. All of a sudden I was in a mind-link but I wasn't the one talking.

"Alpha Wyatt, My name is Avalon. With all due respect, please remove your hands from my mate's arm."

Wyatt turned and looked at me. I shrugged my shoulders and he linked me to meet him outside.

"Great Avalon. Now I am going to get my ass kicked for disrespecting Wyatt."

"You will not. He was touching our mate."

"So my dream was correct? She is my mate."

"Yes, Dayton. Wisteria is our mate but we must not tell her yet. We must wait a few more months."

"F*ck. Now I know Hardin is going to kill me."

"Alpha Tifton cannot interfere with the mate bond."

I stood there waiting on Wyatt and as soon as he came out the door,

"What in the f*ck just happened in there?" he asked.

"Oh, just my wolf came to me. He was jealous you were touching Wisteria who apparently is my mate but I have to wait to tell her."

Wyatt stood there for a moment.

"Congratulations Dayton. For gaining your wolf and finding your mate but do not ever allow your wolf to speak to me like that again. I did no wrong. I was checking on a frightened young woman and he will know his place when speaking to me."

I nodded and he yelled for Trini. He told her I was fine and that I had gained my wolf. He turned to me and said to take Wisteria home and that he would see me at training.

F*ck now I know I am going to get my ass handed to me.
