It's been a few months since Ember and I found out we were mates and I must say, I got a wild one. She is on me every chance she gets. I love it though. The past few days Ember hasn't been feeling well, so I made her an appointment to see Doctor Morris this afternoon. She said Eleaina isn't able to heal whatever is wrong with her so we need to find out what's going on. She has had her heat but I don't think she is pregnant. She isn't like Brie or the Luna. She has been having headaches, she has been tired, and lost her appetite. I thought she was just stressed out because there were some she-wolves flirting with me, even though they know we are together. I guess what they say about the young ones who give it up to someone other than their mates don't really care who they flirt with is true. I'm flattered they think I am good looking but at the same time, it kind of makes me sick to think about it. Ember is my one true love and she is the only woman I want in my bed, and in my life besides our family. I had a few things to take care of for Beta Jakob so I told Ember I would be back shortly. I told her if she needed anything to mind-link me or get Brie to help her until I get back.

Once I finished what Beta Jakob needed me to do I headed back to the packhouse to check on Ember and get her ready for her appointment. When I got to our room, I opened the door and Ember was sitting on the edge of the bed. I asked if she was ok and she said she was a little dizzy. I said it's because you have barely eaten in days, my love. I asked if she wanted anything to eat before we left and she shook her head no. I told her to put a pair of my sweat pants on and we were out the door. When we got to the pack hospital, I signed Ember in and we sat and waited on her name to be called. When the nurse called Ember's name we headed into the exam room and the nurse told Ember to get undressed and put a hospital gown on. Once she left the room I helped Ember get undressed and put the gown on and as I was tying up the back for her she growled a low seductive growl. I looked at her and said not now my love. Maybe later if you are feeling up to it. She said fine and crossed her arms. I shook my head and laughed as I helped her get on the exam table. Doctor Morris came in not too long after that and she asked what was going on. Ember explained what she was dealing with and I said I doubt she is pregnant since she doesn't have any of the symptoms the Luna or Brie had. Doctor Morris laughed and told me pregnancies are different not all pregnancies have throwing up or cravings for food. Some can lose interest in eating while pregnant. She asked when Ember's last heat was and she told her it was a month and a half ago.

Doctor Morris got some blood samples and she got a urine sample. She said she was going to run the test and would be back shortly. Ember started to freak out and I tried my best to keep her from completely losing it. When Doctor Morris came back she had a machine that had a small screen on it and I asked what it was for. She told me it was to see what was going on in Ember's stomach. She squirted this clear gel on her stomach and turned the screen on. It was really hard to tell what I was looking at. Doctor Morris kept clicking the mouse and when she was finished she said,

“It seems like congratulations are in order Alexander and Ember."

I looked at her with a confused expression and Doctor Morris laughed and said,

“you and your Brother should have been identical. He had the same look on his face when I told him and Brie they were expecting."

I said are you saying we are going to have a pup? She nodded and I stumbled back and ended up having to sit down. I sat there and it was as if the room was silent even though I knew the doctor and Ember were talking. Once doctor Morris and Ember were done talking we left. Ember asked if I was going to tell Van and I said not just yet. Let's wait until the initial shock has worn off for me first.

Ember laughed and said, "ugh, Men. Y'all act like this is something new to the world."

I looked at her and said I'm not saying it is and I am happy we are but it's still a little shocking to hear when I didn't think you were.

She said, "well at least you didn't have to be told what it meant like Van did or pass out like Alpha Hardin did."

I looked at her and said he passed out? She laughed and said yep.

When we got back to the packhouse Ember went to the kitchen and started putting together a tray of teas and crackers for her. I smiled at the fact she knew how to handle her pregnancy. I was glad she did because I am a complete mess mentally right now. When we got back to our room I asked how she was feeling and she said she felt a little better. I helped her into bed and handed her some crackers. She asked me if I could make her a cup of lemon tea and I did. After she drank her tea and ate some crackers Ember passed out. I sat there on the couch and just watched her and smiled. I am going to be a dad. I never thought I would have a pup or even find my mate. I can't wait to find out what we are going to have. It doesn't matter to me as long as he or she is healthy. I got a mind-link from Van saying I was needed outside. I left Ember a note and headed down. When I got outside, there were at least 8 girls fighting. I asked Van whats was going on and he said he heard a bunch of yelling and came out to find them beating each other up. I walked up to 2 of the girls and pushed them apart and asked what was going on. One of the girls was screaming something about her man and I heard another scream He was hers. I shook my head and mind-linked Alpha Hardin and asked if he could come down and help. Before Alpha Hardin arrived I was holding those 2 girls back when I felt something hit the back of my head. Everything went black.

I woke up in the pack hospital and Van was sitting next to me. I asked what happened and he said someone threw a big rock and it hit me in the back of the head causing me to blackout and fall. He said Doctor Morris was doing scans to make sure I was ok. I told him to go home to Brie and to let Ember know where I was. He said he had already mind-linked Brie and told her to let Ember know. I told him thank you and told him to go ahead and go home. He said he would be back if I needed him. After he left, I fell asleep and I was woke up to warm lips pressed to mine. I opened my eyes and it wasn't Ember. I yelled for the girl to get out of my room and she laughed and said she wasn't going anywhere. It was as if she thought I was someone else because not one of these she-wolves in our pack would have the balls to come after me like this. I asked why she was in my room and she said I knew why. I said I don't know who you think I am but I am a mated man and I do not know you. She told me to quit lying and said she was here to get what she wanted from me. I tried to sit up but my head started pounding and I laid back and closed my eyes. As soon as I closed my eyes she came up to me again and kissed me. I opened my eyes and found the call button for the nurses. I hit the button and within a minute a nurse came in and asked what was going on. I said this chick is crazy or on something. I do not know her and I wake up to her kissing me. I said get her out of here now. I am mated to Ember Jordan, not this crazy chick. The nurse grabbed her by the arm and drug her out of my room. I mind-linked Van and told him what happened and he said he was on his way back down to make sure she didn't come back.
