{Dayton}
I am nervous about taking Wisteria out this evening. I have never taken a girl out before. I don't know what to do or where to take her. My dad said to take her to eat but I don't know where to take her. I don't know what she likes. I am about to spar with Jacobi and my head is all over the place. I get into my sparing stance and as soon as Wyatt says spar, my ass is on the ground because I keep thinking about where to take her tonight. When training is over, Wyatt pulls me aside and asks what's going on. I told him I have a date tonight and he stops dead in his tracks and looks at me. I said shut up I know I have never taken a girl out before. He asked where I was taking her and I said that's the problem. I don't know what she likes. He said he would come up with a place for me and would Mind-link me when he had the information on it. I told him thank you and asked what should I wear? He told me to dress in black slacks and a dress shirt. When I got back to my apartment I checked my closet and realized I didn't have any other dress clothes other than the ones I wore to Aspen and Hardin's wedding. I called my mom and asked if I had any dress clothes there in my old room and she said I didn't. I decided to go buy a pair of pants and a shirt for tonight.
Once I got back from getting new pants and a shirt, Wyatt mind-linked me and told me to take my date to a little place called Arwen's. I asked what kind of food they had and he told me it was more or less any kind of food. That way if she liked something particular, she could get what she liked. I asked if it was expensive and he said not to worry about it, he had already put us on a tab and he would cover the bill. I told him thank you and he told me to not worry about it. He asked me what time I was leaving to pick her up and I said at 4 p.m. he asked why so early and I said well it's a 2-hour drive to get her. He laughed and then said it sounded like I was making a trip to see Aspen. I said well she does know Aspen and they are pretty close. He got quiet and asked who I was picking up. I said I am going to pick up Wisteria. Hardin's adopted sister. He told me to be on my best behavior or else he would have no other choice but to let Hardin deal with me. I laughed and said no need to warn me he had already done that. He told me to go get my hair trimmed and make sure I showered before going. I said thanks Wyatt I am going now.
After a 2 hour nap, I headed to the barber and had my sides shaved and left the top kind of long. When I got back I jumped in the shower. When I got out I got dressed and styled my hair with some gel the barber gave me. Once I felt like I looked ok, I sent a picture to my mom of me dressed up and told her I was leaving early enough to visit with the pups. She told me to be careful and I headed out. The whole way to green moon I was extremely nervous and felt like I was going to throw up. I don't know why Wisteria makes me feel so nervous. I have never felt like this with any other girl before but then again, I have also never really liked a girl like her and taken a girl out before. When I pulled up to the gate at green moon I was let in by the same guard as last time. I pulled up to the packhouse and Aspen was outside with the pups sitting in the grass. I got out and walked over to them. Silas started yelling "Day" I picked him up and he gave me a big hug. Aspen asked why I was early and I said I wanted to come see the pups for a little while. I sat down with Silas in my lap and Juniper and Cassia both came up to me and climbed on me. Silas didn't like that and he pushed Cassia off my leg and Aspen got on to him. I said Si be nice. Uncle Day loves you just as much as he loves Jun and Cas. he started pouting and Aspen told him to stop. I sat there with Aspen and the pups for a while before we headed inside. Aspen told me Hardin wanted to see me in his office and I knew I was about to be given that talk.
I headed upstairs to Hardin's office and when I got to his door I knocked. He told me to come in and as soon as I closed the door he said for me to sit. I swallowed and he just stared at me. I didn't want to speak at first but I ended up saying did you act like this when Jakob started dating Anna? He burst out laughing and said relax. He said, "I didn't act like this with Jakob. Trust me this is way calmer than I was then. I went after him." I gulped and he said, "I am not going to go after you Dayton. I just want to talk." I nodded and he said, "first of all I want to know why Wisteria?" I said honestly, I feel something with her. I can't explain what it is but I'm being pulled in her direction and I know you know how I was before but I swear Hardin, I am not going to try anything with Wisteria. I want to take her out to get to know her and I promise to treat her with nothing but respect. I feel like she deserves to be treated like a queen and I don't need you coming after me. Hardin said, "Dayton, listen as long as you treat her like she should be treated then I have no problem with you taking her out. I don't want her coming home and saying you tried something. I know you are my wife's brother but that doesn't mean I won't come after you." I said I understand Hardin. I promise I will not try anything or say anything out of the way. We sat and talked guy talk for a while until time for me to pick her up.
