EPISODE 16
She spontaneously rises from her seat to address the king, who was also about to ask the secretary questions. But it is the secretary who first says to the king:
- “Sir! Your Majesty! Is there a problem?" asked the secretary, worried.
- Dognon, says the king! Wait for me outside, please!
- Okay your majesty, answers Dognon and leaves the secretariat.
The secretary and the king are now left alone in the secretary's office. The king's reaction worries her more and she becomes afraid. The king comes closer to her, angry, to reprimand her:
- But Zinsi! What did you do like that? I had well warned you never to let this woman enter my office. But what did you do?
- “Uh... I'm sorry, sir. I'm so sorry," says Zinsi, very ashamed. I let her in because this is definitely not a meeting you're at!
- “Don't let this happen again," the king ordered Zinsi.
- Yes sir!
- The next time you repeat this stupid game with me, I will not hesitate to throw you into the unemployment market, says the king very nervous. Is that clear to you?
- Yes sir! This will not happen again. Sorry!
- It would be better for you, finishes by saying the king and leaves the secretariat.
After the king leaves the office, the secretary asks herself:
- Mrs. Yélian! But... what happened there?
Then she hurried to the king's office to find Mrs. Yélian to understand what could have happened to make the king run away from his office. She opens the door and finds Mrs. Yélian who has been in the same position since earlier in tears. When Zinsi sees her crying, she calls out to her:
- Mrs. Yélian?
Mrs. Yélian just cries, without really paying attention to Zinsi's presence. But the young secretary advances the steps towards her and makes her again:
- Hey oh Mrs. Yélian! What happened? Why did he leave?
For any answer, Mrs. Yélian, taking support on the edge of the table being used as office, without paying his attention on the secretary confides to her in parables with the eyes in tears:
- There are people who do not know the value of what they have until they lose it.
- “Uh... I really don't know why you're saying all this," Zinsi calmly replies, all confused and suspicious of Mrs. Yélian's parabolic words. “But the king was really mad when he came out of here," Zinsi tells Mrs. Yélian without looking at her. What happened?
Mrs. Yélian, disarmed, turns around to face the secretary and then says to her in a plaintive tone:
- Look at me! Take the time to look at me! Why does the king treat me like this? But how can the king of the Kingdom of Savalou not have time for people like me? But he is the one who is always with classy girls.
- “Ah, good! Uh... Mrs. Yélian," said the secretary, looking at Mrs. Yélian. Try to calm down, Zinsi advises her, touching her arm. I think that with time, it will come to you. So, um, don't bother. Uh... Actually! I have to close the door to his office, the secretary tells Mrs. Yélian.
She puts herself aside then after having spoken to give him the passage. As well as possible, she arranges the things which she brought back and leaves the office. The secretary takes care to close the door of the office before joining thereafter her station to continue her work left in pending. She watches Mrs. Yélian leaving the place, showing her enough compassions.
Meanwhile at the palace, the king has just arrived at the house a moment ago and comes across Noukpo and the princess. He joins them and notices the not very good look of the princess. He takes place next to her in the same seat, facing Noukpo. He would now like to know what is wrong with his daughter. But at the same time, when he left his office a moment ago, he promised Dognon to discuss with the princess about his will to take Princess Houenafa as his wife. So he took the opportunity to arrange a meeting on the fact, about the two:
- So tell me! What's wrong with you that you treat Dognon this way? Come on! Talk to me! Why do you reject this man?
- “Daddy," begins the princess. How many times do I have to tell you about the same situation? How many times do I have to make you understand that I am not interested in marrying Dognon?
- Houenafa, Noukpo starts to say as soon as the princess finishes her sentence! What is your problem really? You keep rejecting all the men who come to you. It's as if you don't like any of them, Noukpo says indignantly!
- “Noukpo, forgive me! I beg your pardon," the princess replied violently to her brother. What's the matter?
- Listen, says the king! Dognon is a nice young man, very industrious. Better yet, he is the son of a great man of this kingdom; a man who has now made a place for himself in the business world. A hidden billionaire, who doesn't say his name, as we say in our daily talks. I'm sure he really loves you as he says, reassures the king.
- “Wait, Daddy! Wait," resumed the princess. Is this meeting about me and Dognon? asks the princess.
- Well, listen! As I just told you, I think that you two will make a good couple, says the king, with a slightly agitated look, avoiding to look the princess in the eyes. I mean that he really loves you as he says.
- “With all due respect, please daddy, stop with this subject. Please," the princess replied, refuting her father's arguments for forcing the choice. After all, Dognon is also of royal lineage and older than me, so he...
The king widens his eyes to stare at the princess in the face of her words. The princess is not frightened, however. She continues her words:
- He is older than me and should marry before me! But not with me. I am the youngest daughter!
- “Of course, you are the youngest daughter here," Noukpo continues. But you are a woman!
- Indeed, let me be clear now. You must first marry Mrs. Yélian.
The king and Noukpo are astonished by the princess's words. She is openly blackmailing her father and she will not hide it. She continues by insisting:
- Yes! marry the woman I consider a good woman.
- Should she be mentioned in this conversation?...
