"Oh it's no bother my son." "I'll return home now, i need to get some rest." "Of course, but isn't vicki supposed to meet you here?" Liam looked at the time, it was four pm, victoria was running late, 'could she have gone to see that her so called ex boyfriend?' he thought. "She'll meet me at home mother, i can't wait anymore." liam said and stood up, with the help of his metal cane, he walked out of his mother's house. "How will you get house then? I'll call Xander." his mother said. "Don't worry mother, i can take a cab." Mrs Hilton was shocked by what he said, "How would you....." "I can find my way, I've gotten used to route." "Really?" mrs hilton frowned, unsure of letting him go. "I'm sure of it, I'll call you as soon as i get home, okay." liam said and gave his mother a hug before he left. An hour later, liam had just gotten off the phone with his mother when victoria arrived, she look apologetic and concerned. "I'm so sorry liam, i...." "You went to see him, didn't you?" liam interrupted, he didn't even look at her. "He came to see me at the pastry shop." Victoria replied, she saw him walking towards the stairs but before he went further, she added; "But that isn't the reason i'm late." "What is then?" he turned around. "I made the gingerbread man we use to make together with my mom, and some cupcakes...for you." Victoria raised the paper bag she held. "Really, why?" liam asked Victoria sighed, "I just thought it would bring back memories." she went into the kitchen and took a plate, "Come have some." she said The anger liam felt disappeared as he sat on the kitchen stool, Victoria sat close to him and offered the pastries to him. He put one in his mouth and savoured the taste of, it was so delicious and so familiar, an image played in his head. "Who's mrs lizzy?" liam asked Victoria gasped, "That's my mother, how did you...." "I just remembered calling someone that." Victoria smiled, "My mother's name is elizabeth, you were the only one that loved to call her lizzy." "Where is she?" liam asked The smile on victoria's face vanished, she took a deep breath before she responded. "She died years ago." Liam drew an inch closer to victoria, he raised her chin up. "I'm sorry about your mother, i didn't mean to remind you about her." "It's okay." she said. Their gaze locked for a few seconds before liam covered his lips with hers, kissing her so softly.
