Chapter Twenty-Four

500 Words
Victoria walked towards the young man that entered the compound, he was tall, slender and he had a cute smile on his face. "Edwin, wha... what are you doing here?" Victoria asked "Hello to you too vicki." the young man replied "What's going on tori?" liam asked as he stood up. "Erm...liam, this is Edwin Lawson. He's...he's my ex-boyfriend." liam frowned. "Edwin, meet my friend, Liam Hilton." Victoria introduced. "Friend? I was told you were taking care of a sick patient, not friend." Edwin said "You were told?....By who?" Victoria asked "It doesn't matter, I've missed you vicki. It's not been the same without you." Edwin hugged Victoria, liam clenched his fist, he didn't feel right about this. Liam sat on the porch and watched victoria and edwin talk, he gave edwin the killer stare each time he touched victoria's hand. They talked for a long time before edwin stood up and walked to the front of the ranch-like house. "I'm still around for the next eight days, we should catch up." he said "She would be busy." liam said, raising his clutch and injured leg, victoria looked at him. "Surely, you can make time." "Yes, i can." Victoria responded, Edwin smiled and hugged her. "Get better soon, liam." Edwin said and walked to his car. Immediately edwin drove off, liam said; "You're not planning to spend time with that man, are you? You should be taking care of me." Victoria chuckled, "You're not expecting i'll be with you forever right?" "And what is that supposed to mean?" liam pouted like a little boy, victoria found him cute and couldn't stop smiling. She never expected Edwin to look for her, or trail her down here, she felt a certain way about that. But she was happy he did, it would give the both of them some time to communicate properly. Two days later, Xander appeared in front of liam's house, victoria and liam were both ready to go. "How long will he take?" Xander asked once they were on their way. "I wouldn't know for sure, why? Got a girl back home?" Victoria teased. "Nah, I've got to pick the boys from school." "Which boys?" liam asked this time. "Tommy and Todd, leah's kids." "Oh, i see." Victoria and Xander exchanged looks, liam was coming around little by little, he may not have remembered fully, but his eagerness had helped him familiarize himself with the people around. "I'll like to see mother after my doctor's appointment." liam said "Of course, she would be happy to see you." "You're coming with me, right tori?" liam asked "No, i need to check on the pastry shop. But i'll come pick you up, so i can say hi to mrs hilton." Liam's appointment didn't take long, his injured leg was examined and his medications were changed. "This a very great improvement, you should be able to walk perfectly in two or three days." "Thank you doctor." "Just keep exercising your leg." "I will."
