Chapter Twenty-Eight

Victoria arrived at the hospital and thankfully, liam wasn't badly injured, just a little scratch here and there. But carla was not in a good shape, her legs were seriously damaged and there was a bandage on her arm.

"Nurse victoria?"

"Doctor lance."

"How did he end up here again in the space of four weeks?"

"I'm so sorry, it was my fault, i left him with a careless friend."

"Thankfully, nothing is broken and no concussion."

"Thank God, when can he go home?"

"As soon as he recovers, we can't take any chances this time."

"Thank you doctor." Victoria said, she went ahead to sit close to liam.

Doctor lance paused mid way, he turned around and asked; "How's your friend, leah?"

"She's alright, why do you ask?"

"I really like her, but she turned me down. I guess she has someone she's seeing?"

"I wouldn't know that, we haven't really bonded since liam's incident."

"Right." doctor lance took a deep breath and left the room. Victoria looked at liam with worry and anger on her face, she stood up and began to pace uncontrollably.

"Why did you feel the need to go out with her? I was going to come back home, you should have waited. Knowing you liam, you did that on purpose, to spite me right? Carla wasn't even that close to us back in high school or college either." Victoria ranted on, she was so angry at no one in particular.

"If you keep pacing like that, I'll puke from watching." Liam said

Victoria gasped and rushed to him, "You're awake." she said with teary eyes.

Liam chuckled softly, "You're so strange, one minute you're angry, the next you're worried."

"In this case, I'm pissed. Why did you go out with carla? Where did she take you to? What happened?"

"Slow down tori." liam said, he tried to sit up with victoria's help. "Where is edwin?" he asked

"He's gone back to netherlands." Victoria replied .

There was silence in the room for a minute, victoria was about to walk out of the room. "Where are you going?" liam asked

"To call doctor lance, he needs to check your vitals."

An hour later, the doctor had already checked on liam and ran few test, he was now reading the results to them. "You're okay mr liam, there are no complications. I do have a question to ask mr liam."

"Go ahead doctor lance."

"Do you remember anything? Family, friends?"

Victoria looked at liam with expectation and fear, liam was also staring back at her. "No, i don't."

"Alright." he said, the doctor turned to Victoria. "He may begin to have slight headaches as a result of fractured memories that he will begin to remember. This is the medications he'll take, to help with the pain." Doctor lance handed the medication to Victoria and left the room.

"Liam there's something i need to tell you."

"Let's go home first tori." That statement made victoria heat up.
