45: What Clubbing Is

2077 Words
It was how Wyatt wished that the raven was looking at him instead of Coley. He suddenly forgot about the birthday party that they were supposed to go as he just wanted her to stay inside now instead of leaving the apartment with her outfit that would certainly attract everyone’s eyes. It was how Wyatt wished that her look for the night was only for his eyes as he let his sunglasses slide down his nose.   “How do I look?” Ghrae asked as she dusted off the imaginary dirt off her dress while standing in front of the two who suddenly turned into statues.   The brunette blinked multiple times and swallowed a lump in her throat as her eyes passed down every detail of her body. The raven was wearing a black off shoulder long sleeve short dress with the abdomen part being see-through that made her lean abdomen seen translucently. She was also wearing a black choker around her neck. Her black four-inch heels clicked on the floor whenever she would take a step on the wooden floor. They could also notice the light makeup that the raven put on her face while her glossy raven hair draped above her sharp flawless shoulders.   Coley did not care her heart racing as she just stared at her with her mouth ajar with a wish being created in her head to be able to touch her. She was certain that Ghrae was the most gorgeous woman that she had ever seen and she wished for the first time that she could make her hers.   “Coley?” Coley jolted up in shock as the raven snapped her fingers in front of her. She did not even notice her walking toward her. “Are you feeling unwell?”   “N-No, I’m fine,” The brunette let out a fake chuckle as she stared up to her face. “You look great.”   “Thanks,” Ghrae flashed a small smile as she leaned back and finally turned to the blond. “Have you been waiting long?”   “No,” Wyatt smiled as he stood up and put his sunglasses back on while he shoved his hands in his pockets. “By the way, you look beautiful tonight.”   “Hmm, I think I remember hearing you say that I’m beautiful in every situation,” Ghrae faked a deadpan as she eventually cracked a smile and turned back to the brunette, lending her hand for her to take. “Let’s go, Coley.”   “Right,” Coley looked at her hand in front of her in surprise though she did not hesitate to grab it as she felt the raven intertwine their fingers while they walked out of the apartment.   Am I dreaming?   “By the way, I have to admit that you always look sexy in leather jackets but you’re undeniably sexier tonight,” Ghrae whispered to the brunette’s ear before releasing her hand as she entered the car at the backseat, giving her a smile that looked like a smirk in Coley’s point of view.   If only Wyatt did not honk his car, Coley would have stayed frozen on her spot for the entire night as she tried to think why the raven was being different tonight in a way that made her wish that tonight would never end.   ***   The blasting music could be heard from the outside as the flashing lights in different colors could be seen as well from the outside of the nightclub, which made Coley let out a sigh of relief as she found herself in the place that felt like home for her. Taking a glance on her black motorcycle that remained untouched on the same spot at the parking lot, the brunette felt relieved as she did not have to worry about it and could enjoy the night. At the very same time that Wyatt finished parking his car, a taxi arrived in front of the nightclub as two stunning women along with a handsome man got out of the car that made them look like they were going to walk down the invisible red carpet.   “Hi!” Nora greeted with her toothy grin.   “Looking good!” Wyatt grinned as they walked toward them.   Nora was wearing a sparkly silver strapless crop top along with a pair of silver wide leg pants partnered with a pair of silver sandals. Her bright red hair shone underneath the moonlight as it drooped down her shoulders. She had a silver double necklace dangled around her neck. Despite her simple fashion that was all in silver, the red-haired woman was able to pull it off and make her outfit look expensive.   It was the same with her brother as well as Noah wore a blue striped short-sleeve button up shirt with the first two upper buttons undone, exposing his unexpectedly broad clean chest, paired with black denim jeans and a pair of black sneakers. He had a golden necklace around his neck as well. He and Nora were expensive-looking siblings despite wearing simple fashion.   As for the purple-haired woman, she wore a black spaghetti strap top tucked in a pair of black high-waist trousers with tie-up belt partnered with a pair of black sandals. Aside from her fashion that was rarely seen worn by Margo, her tattoos that were exposed freely underneath the light made her extra beautiful for the night. With Nora holding on Margo’s arm, they looked like the best lesbian couple for the night. The other people who were about to enter the nightclub could not help but feel intimidated and infatuated with the them.   “OMG! You guys are damn hot!” Nora whistled as she looked at the two women from head to toe. “I’d be glad to get laid by the three of you at the same time.”   They could only laugh at the joke of the red-haired woman as Noah shook his head—he was used to Nora flirting openly with literally anyone who was attractive.   “Margo,” Coley called as she gave her a thumbs up with a nod of approval when the purple-haired woman looked at her.   “I don’t think I’ve ever been to a club,” Noah said as he slid his hands in his pockets while staring at the building that he assumed would stay wild until the sun rises.   “It’s because you always ignore me whenever I invite you to go clubbing with me,” Nora scoffed as she rolled her eyes.   “Hey!”   All of them turned to the direction where they heard a male voice as they saw a black-haired man in a simple black outfit: a black tee shirt with a golden chain necklace around his neck, a pair of black jeans, and a pair of black sneakers. Well, he did not have to try hard in terms of clothes since he had a handsome face that could still catch attention of people. With deep dimples in each cheek, he grinned with his eyes turning into crescents as he approached the group of friends.   “Dylan! What are you doing here?” Nora asked with a bright smile on her face as she checked him out briefly. “How do you still look hot in a black shirt?”   “That happens when you’re born handsome,” Dylan winked at her as he let out a hearty laugh afterwards and turned back to the rest. “Are you invited to Belle’s party too?”   “Yeah, she’s a friend of mine. She told me to invite some friends,” Wyatt answered as he took his sunglasses and slipped them in the front of his shirt. He reached his hand out with a friendly smile on his face. “I’m Wyatt, by the way.”   “Dylan,” he replied with the same smile as they shook hands.   “What a small world. We’re all here together,” Nora clapped her hands in excitement.   “Indeed. Now, shall we go?” Dylan gestured to the entrance without taking the smile off his face.   “Let’s go!”   As they all stepped inside the nightclub, the brunette felt at ease as she was finally back in the warm crowded place where colorful lights were streaking around on every corner while the music was played loudly that could make one’s ears bleed; it was the place where Coley belonged. Different people scattered around the club while doing their own business; some were dancing sloppily on the dancefloor, some were drinking as if they were drinking water while conversing in a dangerously close distance, and some were already entering each other’s bodies in the dark hidden corners.   Even though Coley wanted to join the crowd in dancing on the center, she could not help but think of the raven as she remembered that it was her first time to be in a place that was completely unfamiliar to her. Ghrae was looking around the place with interest in her eyes though she seemed to not know what to do. The brunette sneaked her hand to hold her hand, making her look at her as she unknowingly fell back at ease when she saw the warm brown orbs of the latter.   “Wyatt, you came!” A tanned woman with long blonde hair in a tight pink tube dress approached them with a glass of cocktail in her hand.   “Happy birthday,” Wyatt smiled as the blonde’s hand slipped around his arm. “This is—”   “Thanks. I’ve been waiting for you!” Belle bit her lip seductively as she pulled him toward the crowd without throwing a glance at the others.   “Just have fun,” Wyatt mouthed to them as he waved at them before he let the woman pull him.   It seemed that Belle just basically told Wyatt to invite some friends as an act of friendliness when it was him whom she only wanted in her birthday party. They did not mind though as they walked to a vacant table nearby and sat there. Noah and Dylan, being the thoughtful guys, offered to get their drinks as they walked past the crowd until they successfully reached the bar counter.   “I’ve only seen clubs in films,” Ghrae said as she continued to look around the club like she was trying to make a clear memory out of it. “It kind of feels weird to be here in real life.”   “It’s like that at first but you’ll slowly enjoy later,” Coley reassured her as she placed her arm on top of the couch behind Ghrae while she leaned back.   “Damn, that was suffocating,” Noah said as soon as he came back with a bottle of vodka, a bottle of whiskey, and a bottle of Sprite, knowing that Nora disliked pure liquor. “This is exactly why I ignore all of your invitations, Nora.”   “You’re just a loser,” Nora stuck her tongue out when she received a glare from her brother as he slumped down on the couch.   “He really is,” Dylan laughed as he placed their glasses on the glass table. He brought a bottle of orange juice as well. “Ghrae, you drink, right?”   “Yes.”   “Nice!” Dylan pushed his hair back with his fingers as he stood up straight. “I’ll go get some snacks.”   “Do you need help?” Nora asked.   “I’m not like Noah, don’t worry,” Dylan winked at the brunet who shot him a glare before he disappeared through the crowd again.   “God, I missed drinking,” Nora said as she opened the bottle of whiskey with no difficulty and poured up until one third of her glass. She completed her drink with Sprite since she loved soda and liquor combinations.   Coley poured two shot glasses with vodka as she gave the other one to Ghrae. Champagne was the only liquor that she had tasted with no combination, but it seemed that tonight was the night when she would be trying the things that she had never have the chance to do. The raven accepted it as they smiled at each other before clinking their glasses and pouring them down their throat.   It was certainly going to be a long night.
