Prologue
It was like any usual feeling that she had in any situation—nothing, no feelings or emotions at all. Since she no longer cared about anything that could happen to her then, she just let the flow go even though there was a possibility of the stranger to be a dangerous wanted criminal. She did not care whether the stranger would stab her with a knife that she could have been keeping in her jacket or rob any of the belongings that she had with her. Even though it was a weird and unexpected situation that happened, she did not mind it at all.
Her adoptive mother told her once that it does not matter whether she was happy or sad before doing something since the result of it would always either be a blessing or a lesson. Ever since then, it was what she always had in mind whenever her adoptive mother and her husband would assign a new task for her—whether it was a hopeless one like being in a quicksand or a piece of cake that did not really matter if she had one.
Life was full of unexpected things that one could never know that something unexpected would just suddenly appear in one’s life just like rain falling when the weather forecaster mentioned that it would be a sunny day. At first, she gave no attention to that saying since what she only knew was that her life could end only when she was done accomplishing all of her tasks that were assigned to her for everyone’s sake, but that changed ever since the stranger appeared out of nowhere to randomly pull her wrist to a thick tree.
