BOTH SHOCKED, NORA and Matt turned like one. Someone had entered the room, and they hadn’t noticed. A hushed cry flew off Nora’s lips, but Matt’s hand on hers reassured her that everything was fine.
Marjorie Winston and her husband Jonathan stood just inside the door, holding hands, as always. Pride for her firstborn had brought tears in Marjorie’s eyes.
