“HE’S FINALLY ASLEEP. Thanks, guys, for lending me that monitor,” Matt said, pointing to the second monitor on the patio table.
“Don’t sweat it,” Bryan answered. “No big deal. We bought four to be sure we had one working if anything happened, so...”
“Anyway...” Matt started, but Becka stopped him, touching his hand.
“Forget about that, Matt, and spill the beans,” she insisted, and Bryan smiled.
He liked it when Becka reacted with authority. Her attitude was in such a contrast with her small frame that it amused him to no end.
