“Does Jay know?” Aunt Sharon asked.
“No.”
“Oh Amara” Aunt Sharon expressed.
“I know, but the way everything happened… I didn’t see another solution … At that moment I didn’t know what to say … I thought he loved me … but it was all a lie … I couldn’t bring myself to get hurt again.”
“Amara-
“It’s fine. We don’t need to talk about it right now.” Adam said, putting his hand up.
My Aunt nodded. “Amara, how about I take you to your room and you rest. We can talk about everything later. Alright?”
I nodded and followed my Aunt up the stairs.
As I laid on the bed and closed my eyes, all I could think about was my broken heart and the man who broke it.
