“Please, this is unnecessary.” I told Adam and Aunt Sharon.
“We aren’t’ listening to a thing.” Aunt Sharon said, shutting the passenger door and then getting into the backseat. “You have been here for a month and haven’t gone to the doctors. You need to visit the OBGYN and get started on prenatal medicine and get a full checkup. We can’t wait any longer. This is about your baby’s health.”
I sighed. They were right and I understood that, but the comfort of the guest bed was something else. I needed that. Even though it had been a month, it felt like yesterday when Jay handed me those papers and it broke.
