I wanted Zara and Devan to leave my house but their conversation was turning interesting and I wanted to hear what was actually going on behind the scenes. I wanted to know how she controlled my cousin. What made Devan betray his own family and side with Zara … how he was willing to take the woman I loved at the time away from me and not blink an eye.
Yes, I didn’t love Zara anymore. I don’t think I ever truly did, but she was my girlfriend at the time and I had wanted to marry her when she showed up with Devan at a family event and announced their engagement. Nothing made sense at the time, but now, I can find out what no one else knew.
