I had been thinking about Zara’s comment.
Did Jay really go and see her?
That would break me, the bit of trust I had in him would be destroyed. He couldn’t do that to me, not now.
I couldn’t even ask him directly, things were seeming to get to normal … whatever normal could be in our situation. This was so confusing.
Could I even believe Zara’s words? But then again, what made Jay trustworthy?
The one lesson I had learned was to trust no one but myself. But I was in love with that fool and there was nothing else I could do but hope he wasn’t.
It didn’t matter at the moment anyway, I couldn’t think about this right now. There was some sort of celebration happening at Jay’s family home and everyone was required to be there, even me.
