Book One: Chapter 6

1890 Words
After lunch they stopped by a few more small shops in town on their way home. Kal insisted on buy her a few dresses and she agreed as long as they were black and not too revealing. He liked the fact that she was a simple girl feeling most comfortable in jeans and a T-shirt. She hadn’t asked for make up this morning which was a plus but then again being on the run probably doesn’t allow one to really set up a makeup routine. Even when picking out dresses she picked form fitting ones but made sure nothing was popping out divulging too much. He had so many she-wolves throw themselves at him in the past trying their hardest to become his luna but they all tried to hard. They would wear super revealing clothing and caked on makeup. The older he got the worse it became, they would try to make him feel bad for depriving the pack of a luna, or try to seduce him into bed hoping that he would fall in love and choose them as a mate. He had to admit he was getting lonely over the past two or three years and had almost given up hope that he even had a mate out there but thankfully she showed up and in the most interesting way possible. Typically mates grow up together, go to school together, and so its easy to find their partner once they turn 18. He anxiously awaited once he turned 18 but noting. He continued to wait 9 long years and finally his little rogue decided to trespass onto his territory allowing him to finally find her. Now he couldn’t imagine his life without her. He was all in and it wasn’t only due to the mate bond she was perfect to him in every sense of the word. He just hope one day she would open her heart enough to let him. Once back at the pack house he carried all her bags up to the top floor and she followed, walking right into his bedroom as if it was the most natural thing in the world, as if she belonged there. Finally following him into the walk in closet she was surprised at how big it was inside and she noticed only one side was full. She also noticed the two different colored walls, the side he placed all her bags was painted a crimson red almost exactly the same shade as her wolf. There was no way he had seen her wolf before. She shifted just inside the territory’s border no one could have seen her. “What made you decide on this color,” she asked curiously as she helped him put things away. “I saw it in a dream and fell in love.” It had to be a coincidence that her side of the closet was painted the same shade as her wolf, there was no way he had seen her in that form. Was it possible to see your mates wolf in a dream. His side of the closet was a chocolate brown could that be the color of his wolf she wondered. She and her wolf felt excitement at the thought of seeing each other in their beastly forms. Trinity had run into many wolves over the past several years and the only wolves she really remembered were her parents. As she putting clothes away on the side of the closet that was now hers she thought back to the restaurant and the waitress shamelessly throwing herself at Kal. She wondered if any other women had kept clothes in this closet at one point or another. She was a bit hesitant to ask, did she really have a right, and would he just think she was being jealous again. She went against her better judgment and decided to feed her curiosity. “Can I ask a question that hopefully won’t make me sound jealous.” “Of course you can ask me anything you like. I have no secrets to keep from you,” he replied. “Has anyone else ever lived in here with you, I don’t smell another she-wolf but I’m just curious.” “I won’t denying having women in my bed Trinity but it was purely carnal. I am a man with a wolf deep down inside I have needs. None of them were ever more than a one night stand. I actually think your the first one I’ve allowed to sleep next to me in a very very long time. I didn’t want to chance anyone catching feelings and getting the wrong idea.” “So you would just f**k them and then kick then out.” “You make it sound like I’m cold callous bastard. Again I just didn’t want anyone to get the wrong idea. Every single one of those women knew what they were getting into with me.” “I didn’t mean for it sound like I was judging you, you just don’t seem like that kind of guy I guess.” “Well I’m not the same with you because you are my mate… my love, with you everything is different. Have you ever lived with another man?” “No, I never stayed anywhere long enough to grow attachments.” He looked at her and could see the sadness in her eyes she wasn’t only talking about a relationship she was talking about friendships as well. She had no one and that hurt him deeply to think of all the years they were apart and she was alone when they could have been together and happy. Without thinking he pulled her into him holding her tightly against his chest. It took her a few moments but she eased up laying her head on his chest, the top of her head almost touching this chin, and wrapping her arms just as tightly around his torso. He was amazed at how strong she was. He loved that she was opening up to him. Kal adored how perfect she felt against him and the way her body fit perfectly together with his. No other woman ever gave him the warm and satisfying feeling that Trinity did just by being in his arms. He almost wished he had waited for her instead of allowing other women into his bed but he wasn't lying when he said he couldn't help the need to be with someone. There was only so much he could do by himself and it helped relieve stress which made him a better Alpha to his pack. He did make sure to never sleep with a wolf in his own pack. Typically he would go to a dive bar just outside of town that had a different crowd of people almost every night. "So what are we going to do for the rest of the day," trinity asked pulling back slightly to look up at his gorgeous face. "Well I need to head down for training in about ten minutes, then I can show you around our village, and after that I planned on us making a trip out to my mothers cottage for dinner. She is insistent on learning everything about you and cooking you one of her favorite meals of all time." "Training? Can I watch?" "Of course. Have you ever trained before?" "Nothing officially. I have had some informal training with other outcasts such as myself. A few people took pity on me over the years and tried to help me at least be able to defend myself. My dad had taught me a little before he disappeared but nothing to intense. I've definitely gotten better over the years." "Oh so you fight pretty good for a girl," he said jokingly. "For a girl huh," she replied, sticking her tongue out at him, and moving her hands to his side attempting to tickle him. "Sorry hun not ticklish but nice try," he said leaning down to kiss her cheek before moving away from her to grab a change of clothes for training. "So your telling me your not ticklish anywhere?" "Not one single place, are you ticklish," he replied dropping his shorts on the couch and chasing her around the room playfully before catching her and finding the spot right under her rib cage, causing her to burst out laughing as his tickled her to the point of crying. “Okay… Okay please stop,” she pleads with him between giggles. “Only because you begged me my love,” he replies abruptly stopping pinning her beneath him on the couch. Once her eyes meet his there is a deep intensity in them and they almost look a different color than before, a grayish color. He says nothing, moving some hair from around her neck, and dipping his head down next to it placing a soft kiss in the crook. She feels his tongue against her skin between kisses and the amount of pleasure coursing through her in that moment cause her to tilt her head back and let out a small moan. Then she feels something sharp graze her skin causing her to jump and him to pull himself back and away from her quickly shooting to the other side of the room. “What was that,” she asked shocked. “My Wolf Shadow, he was about to mark you.” “Mark me?” “You really know nothing about the mate bound huh?” “I mean my parents told me a little bit about it but it was so long ago. I’ve heard talk but…nothing about marking” she trails off kind of embarrassed she knew so little about her own kind, her mother and father were more concerned with teaching her how to blend in with the humans and the other many dangers of the world. They taught her not to be afraid of her own kind but weary of other travelers. “When two mates find each other, typically they place their mark on one another sooner than later. It lets every one know you are mine and I am yours. It also makes our connection to one another stronger. We can communicate better and feel each others emotions.” “Oh,” she replied unsure if she wanted to him to mark her. “I can sense your hesitation which is why I stopped I won’t mark you unless you give me the consent too. I want you to want this Trinity, all of it, and I would never force anything on you I hope you know that.” “Thank you, I don’t think you’ll ever understand how much I truly appreciate that. I’m sorry I know so little about our kind. My parents only taught me what was necessary to survive in the real world, without a pack. That’s probably why they never told me much about werewolf tradition and customs. I barely remember living with our old pack they took me away when I was so little.” “Don’t apologize. I will teach you all you need to know before you take your rightful place as luna of this pack. Now get your sexy a** up and ready so we can head down to training."
