Dorian’s POV

I lay awake holding my pregnant mate close to me as she slept from being almost kidnapped. Only a few days later, they were practically taken from our arms. Cole is calling, with some help from the royal pack, knowing that this is an outrage and outright treason for another group to think about stealing our Luna and Beta females.

“Dory?” “Hmm, good morning, sweetheart. Sleep well?” I whispered to my sweet angel, looking at me sleepily, and cuddled her sweet face more into my chest. “Elle, I am glad you are awake, but we need to talk, especially about our pup,” I whispered to her, feeling the nerves of stress through our mate bond. I chuckled, shaking my head, knowing that she must think I would be upset.

“Elle, I am overjoyed to know we have our pup soon, and because of your genes mixed with my wolf genes, our children will be adorable and worth so much,” I told her, gently kissing her sweet lips. The moment she kissed me back was something else; I love when we have our moments, even when we only kiss a few times or when she wants to cuddle and sit around after a long day of paperwork and helping around the pack. “Dory, I am happy, and I know we will get through this together. I love you, my beta warrior.” “As I love you, my sweet little vixen,” I told her, pecking her lips a few more times and making her giggle.

I smiled at my mate, watching her sweet lilac eyes brighten when she looked happy. Her smile can lighten up a room filled with people, with her kind heart and soft-spoken voice that holds so much strength that people would think she was the Luna and not the Beta female. Cole and I would joke around, telling everyone in the pack when we were younger that I was going to be the next Alpha while he was the next Beta, but that was not the case. I am happy, and for once, I can’t wait till my mate gives birth to our little pup.

“Alright, time to get up so we can figure out what we are dealing with and whom we are dealing with,” I said softly, gently pushing my mate off the bed. I watched her head into the bathroom, and I went to get dressed while waiting for her to get ready. After finishing our morning routines, we left our room and headed into the kitchen to get food and drinks.

With my mate being pregnant, I have to be extra careful with her needs and do as she says because I know from experience that a pregnant woman can become more volatile with, their different emotions. I helped my mate take her seat when my mother and father walked in, seeing my mate was awake and well enough to sit down and eat with them.

“I am so glad you are home safe and sound, Elle. We were all worried about you and Chelsea.” “I am glad to be home, mother.” I placed our breakfast down on the table, taking my seat next to my mate, who was talking some more with my mother.

“Son, I do hope the royal pack can send some people over to help us find out which or who it could have been that was trying to take both the Luna and Beta females?” I sighed, knowing what my father was asking because I did want to know what was going on and who could wish my mate.

My father and I continued our conversation, letting our mates talk it out, and I noticed my sister dragging herself inside the kitchen and dragging a seat at the table. I could smell something off with my sister; she looked horrible, knowing that her mate rejected her all because she could not show any ounce of kindness to anyone.

“Brittany? What is going on?” I had said calmly, watching her glare at me with dull eyes. I scoffed at her and turned away from my so-called sister as she only mocked me and tried to get under my skin. The worst part was that she had almost gotten under my skin if my mate did not step in like she is now.

“Brittany, you need to stop this petty game. Your mate rejected you even after I tried to talk to him, but he told me your scent was off, mixed with another unmated male wolf. As for your friend, I was able to salvage that mate bond between Alpha Kale and Justine, who are now our allies.” My sweet mate explained to me.

Justine apologized to us a while back, wanting to start fresh and be more of a Luna than anything else with her mate, who gave her a second chance to prove herself to him. That day, I was so proud of my woman, and I am happy the moon goddess brought her to me. Maybe a few years younger than me, but she will always be my little vixen. “Dorian, can you and Elle come to my office? We need to start our meeting.” “On it, Cole.” I cut Cole off in the mind link and helped my mate to stand up. We left everyone in the kitchen and headed towards Alpha’s office so we could start the meeting. As we went to the office, I noticed a few more giant wolves around and standing at attention guarding the door. I helped my mate to sit down and took my seat next to her, holding her hand for comfort.

“Noelle, so glad to see you again. It seems to me you found our mate?” “Yes, Jeffery. I did find my mate, and I can’t ask for more. He is my everything.” I kissed Elle’s cheek lovingly, wanting to show her my appreciation. I smirked when her face flushed red from my actions.

“Well, let us start the meeting then. But, first off. Elle, how do you know the alpha king?” “Cole, Jeff, and I grew up together when I first learned to control my powers. I was ten, and he was sixteen; he became like an older brother when I had no one to be my friend growing up.” Cole and I were stunned to hear this, but I was angry that our pack members denied Noelle anything.

“Yeah, Ellie, here is my little sister, even if she did not want to join my pack and become my little sister. She told me that something was going to happen to her here, and she did not want to leave before it happened.” “Well, s**t. I can now understand why you two seem so close.” As usual, I shook my head at my best friend, who was being an i***t. “Anyways, let’s get down to the final details. Now, Elle, can you tell us who took you and my little wolf?” “I only remember running with Chels, then nothing after that. Rory can explain all of it if need be?” “Alright, then let her out, Elle. If it is the same one who tried to kidnap you before when you were twelve, then we will have a problem.” Jeffery started with a slight edge to his voice.

Cole and I gave my mate a look of confusion, and I quickly took her into my arms, shushing her shaking body and helping her calm down as its not good for her or our pup. “What, do you mean she was almost kidnapped once before?” I said calmly, kissing my mate's head as she cuddled more into my larger frame. I situated her on my lap so she could rest her head on my chest. The moment she was able to sleep, she fell asleep.

“Dude, that was adorable.” I sighed with a smile, letting her sleep on me and rest from this much stress. “Well, she can’t get too stressed out. It would harm our pup.” I said softly, watching both men give me huge smiles and congratulate me on being a father-to-be. “As I was saying before, Ellie went to sleep. When she was twelve, she was bullied at school, and I found her in pretty bad shape. Her face was bruised, and her sides were hurting non-stop. But what had happened afterwards was a few rouges showed up, and I could not help Ellie or keep her safe from the attack. But then, something had happened, and she had burnt them all to a crisp. That was when her powers awakened, and we, our father and your father, Cole, helped her control her powers. You see, I am half wolf, half fox, and I have some fox gifts, but not enough to be known as a werefox like Ellie.” Jeffery told us as he explained what had happened to my sweet vixen all those years ago.

“Wait, when Dorian and Elle’s baby is born, will they look like her with the tail and ears in human form?” “Yes. I also have them, and I hide them, so humans don’t worry too much about my appearance. When I’m at home, I show my true side to everyone.” “My Elle was bullied by them, and I am trying to love herself and not worry about what other people think about how she looks, just because she is different.” I had said, explaining everything.

It had been a few hours since the meeting started, and my Elle left with Chels a while ago to deal with the pack members while we were still in the meeting. “Alright, that should be all then. It seems that someone in our pack has been trying to harm my Luna and my beta female as well.” “Agreed. I might know who it is, and I will be glad to get rid of her if that means keeping our pack safe.” I stated, making my way towards my room after telling them goodbye.

“Elle, you in here?” I called out after stripping out of my clothes to take a shower. I stepped out of the shower, dried myself off and got dressed into my nightwear, which only consisted of soft sweatpants and a long-sleeve shirt that I take off when my mate is with me. I became worried when I could not scent my mate in our room.

“Elle, where are you?” “Dory, I am not sure where I am. I know someone knocked me out again and took me from my ma’s clinic. I think I’m near the eastern border with Chels and your sister.” “f**k. Hold on, alright. Keep our connection safe, and please be careful, my love. “I will, Dory.” My sweet Elle cut our link short when I booked it out of my room and towards Cole’s office, not even caring about knocking on the door. “Cole, we have a problem! Elle, Chels and my sister were kidnapped.” “What?! f**k sakes! Do you know where they could be?” “Yes, Elle told me they are near our pack territory's eastern borders,” I told him as we both got ready to head out with a few of our warriors with Jeff behind us.
