A small town, the Sliver Moon Crescent in Missouri, has over 4,500 in a small village mainly ruled over by a large wolf pack of werewolves with a long history of being one of the best packs in their society.

At an early age, one seventeen-year-old girl was given a chance to live within the small town to help the wolves and humans alike live in harmony as she is not a wolf but something special, something that holds so much power and is much stronger than any alpha wolf combined.

Whoever will be her mate will have the strength to protect her from those who want her for themselves, use her gifts, and breed her for what she is worth. The young girl is the only one of her kind after her parents abandoned her to fend for herself when she was a little girl.

The Alpha of the wolf pack gave her everything she needed to help her survive, even having her school paid for as his oldest and only son went off to college to become the next Alpha and to find his mate, of course. When he arrives home with his mate, the young girl meets her destined mate as the next Beta, Dorian Greyson.

Will the Beta takes the little werefox as his mate? or will he leave her to fend for herself? Only time will tell for these two destined mates.

Noelle’s POV “Morning, Noelle. How was your summer break?” “Good morning Ms. Jenson. My summer was all right, and I had to work mostly and help around the pack house as the Alpha’s son will be arriving home later tomorrow.” I said, making my way inside the classroom and taking my seat. “That is sweet of you, sweetie. I remember Colton when he was just a little pup; now, he must be twenty-three years old alongside his Beta and Gamma.” I giggled and nodded as we talked for a few more minutes when the bell rang for the class to start. I kept my head glued to the board, ignoring the others in the room as everyone here hates me for being the teacher's pet, as they all like to call me. I wish I had one friend to rely on and not be alone. “It will be all right, Elle. Our mate will love us, and I know he will keep us safe.” “I hope so, Rory. I do, but I still feel as if that may not happen. Why would our mate want us, a shy know-it-all werefox?” I told Rory in our mind link. “Just be patient, Elle,” we both sighed, wishing for the day we would meet our mate and hope for a better future with our mate. ** The school day was long and tiring as I made it home near the center of town, close to the packed clinic where I work alongside Dr. Charles, our pack doctor who took me in when no one wanted to raise me when I was little. “There you are, little one, glad you made it. I was getting worried that something had happened to you?” “Oh, do not worry. I just got back from school. Is there anything else I can help you with?” I spoke softly, giving the one person who mattered to me a smile. “Well, my dear seems to me that the Alpha wants you to be at the pack house to help finish organizing the welcome home party for Colton, Dorian and Joseph.” I sighed and hugged my adopted mother as I left the clinic to head to pack house near the town's northern entrance. “Hey, Rory, do you want to shift and run there?” “Hell, yes, please!” I giggled aloud as I walked further into the woods to strip from my clothes and shift into Aurora. I felt our fur move in the wind as I let Rory take control of our run, and I let myself relax after the bullying today at school with Brittany and the few other young wolves that do not like me for no reason. ** Aurora’s POV I was so glad that Elle let me shift so we could go for a nice run in the woods to hunt before we headed off towards the pack house where Alpha James was waiting for us. Today has been one of those days where we will think about how much we have grown and tried to be happy even though most people cannot stand us for what reason? I do not know. I hope our mate will love us all the same and not leave us like our parents did when we were little. I stopped in my tracks when I smelt a scent near the back of the pack house, and I did not know who it could be as we said that the Alpha’s son and the Beta and gamma would be home either later today or tomorrow. I sat down near the back door, where I could see the omega move about in the sitting room, where there were five men I could see. Only one of them I was able to recognize as Alpha James, and the other four I do not know. But the smell was here, and I could not pinpoint the exact location or to who it could belong too. “Oh my! Aurora?” I titled my fox head when I heard Lisa’s sweet voice. I made a slight noise, not realizing I had caught all of the men’s attention. “Ah, there you are, Aurora? Where is Noelle?” “She is resting, and we had trouble at school today. We are fine, though.” I mind-linked James. I watched him sigh and nod as he came up to me and was about to pick me up, but someone else did. I laid my head on their shoulder, trying to keep the whimpers at bay as the emotions we had been suppressing all day. I placed my wet, cold nose in his neck, trying to seek the scent they were giving off, which was comforting. The smell of fresh ocean and sandalwood came from the one carrying us inside. I felt tired from running, and the only thing I wanted to do was curl up in this man’s arms and sleep off our tired, sore body from today’s ordeal.
