CHAPTER 26

Holding on too tight and too long wasn’t my cup of tea, well at least i was good at pretending that i don’t care. However, this didn’t happened with me today, i felt a shapr pain illicit in my chest when saw that man’s hand slapping Katia, the impact was so loud she fell back on the ground.

I could have jumped in the action to save her but Aalrous stooped me. Don’t know why the hell did he do that but he owns a great explanation for this.

Back at home, i slammed the door with intense force that the it got a huge c***k in the middle. Alarous watched me throwing stuff randomly on the floor. I wish i had a better way to express out my frustration.

“That ,uch violonec for a girl?” he asked me while stood leaning on the doorside.

I sighed and hold on my tongue but dang, i can’t, “it might be in your culture to see women getting abused, otherwise, you wouldn’t let me stopped there.” i spat too loud at his face.

He looked surprised but calmed his rising temper.

“I didn’t stopped you right there, you must be lying dead on their ground. Do you know who they were? A bit idea?” Alarous put his queries on me.

I stagged a bit but shook my head.

“They are shadow warriors, kind of  amob, deal with supernatural creatures. Most of the time, they kill them and take with them, extract organs and spinal cord for autopsy to create hybrids. Though, they have never been successful yet but taht doesn’t mean there is no chance for them.” he explained with a grim on his face.

For a second, i thought i saw the fear in his eyes.

“We could have fought…” i put my point to him.

“Fought for whom? That girl, who was a part of that cult? Seriously?” he looked shocked, more disappointed.

I formed but i thought and realsied that he ahd a point, “she save my life that day…” i whispered, almost but i knew Alarous heard me clearly.

He exhaled deeply and approacehd with silent steps, “your own soul and body saved you, Cassian. You are not an ordinary blood, you are an alpha wolf, however, you are still restricted to shapeshift becasue you still have to unlock the depth of your mind, to learn the secrets your parents passed to you. It is something that i can’t help you with.” he shrugged his shoulder and wnet to the kitchen.

A brought two cans of beer, one for me and other one for him.

“Have this, you will feel better.” he offered the can while i accepted gladly, he took a seat in front of me and asked, “are you in love with that girl?” his eyes were observing me.

I wanted to say something to him but halted, becasue i didn’t knew the answer. Do i love her? But we barely know each other? Is ‘love at first sight’ a thing? I pressed my lips in a flat line and decided to keep my silence on this question.

“I guess, you don’t know it yourself..” he rolled his eyes.

“I met her in the hospital.. When i saw here, i felt something…” i replied in a low voice.

“A twitch in your pant or something in your heart?” he looked so serious at me and i narrowed my gaze on him.

“Well, both…” i admitted after a pause.

He was nodding his head like he was computing something in his mind, or maybe the ancestors were telling him to mind his own business.

“My friend, you are screwed!!!” he replied with a grin spread ear to ear.

“Thanks…” i fumed and gulped down the beer till the last drop.

I went to lay on the bed but all the pictures of Katia getting abused flashing in my mind. I was reluctant to think about it but, i couldn’t help and rush to Alarous. He looked with an amusing expression like he was waiting for me.

“We need to save her..” i declared.

“And why do you think we need to save her?” he asked with a deep frown on his face.

I wanted to punch on his face for this stupid question but i wish, “what if she is forced to do this? She doesn’t want to kill anyone in first place? Who knows she might be under some circumstance which made her jin the cult, she need our help..” i revolted on the thought to forcing someone to do horrible things in the name of a cult.

Alarous raised his brows at me and stated, “what if this is her strategy to get to you? She is so good holding weapons, i don’t think she is forced by anyone. She was determined to kill you but your love sick puppy mind is no stable, mu dude..” he straight up some facts which i can’t deny.

“Yeah. she is determine to kill me but she had her chances, yet she didn’t kill me. She could have easily killed me back there but she purposely missed all the arrows.. I am telling you, she is in danger.” i retaliated against his facts.

“Bitches like her won’t mind sharing bodies to get done things they won’t.. She is manipulating you believing you are in love with her….” Alarous shouted at me.

I grab my jacket and my purse, hid some knives in my outfit and headed to the front to door.

“Where are you going?” Alarous blocked my way.

“I am going to save her, i don;t care if she is using me or not but i don’t wnat to regret everyday that when i could have save her but i didn’t…” i looked dead in his eyes before leaving the apartment.

Alaorus made his way to the side to let me go. I knew i hurt his sentiments but i am straight with this tongue. I speak what is inside my head. I can’t fake my words and my promises that i made to myself.

Love or not, i am willing to help her. But before i directly go to see her, i should investigate more about this shadow warrior clan. The name they depicts, shadow, are actually a shadow. What they do, where the are going is all hidden under shadow. Just like Katia, all of them live in this under disguised as a normal human being. 

There was something in my head, telling me stay away from them but i wish i could make my mind change so easily. Found their location, which was an underground hive in middle of the woods. To be honest, i was very impressed by the way they are living in front of naked eyes. But disgusted by the sininsterous things they do.

Just like what Alarous mentioned earlier, they hunt supernatural creatures to make hybrids, wolves are one of their favorites. I am a wolf, right? I would love to see how intimidated I feel when i breach their security to save HER.
