The gentle breezes went up with the strong winds and the loose strands of her hair fell at the back of her head, while her eyes glued at my body, like a predator is ambushed before his final blow. The metallic crossbow in her hands, supported like a battle shield, she was waiting for that one moment to destroy me.
Hardly she knew, she had already killed me.
A devilish smirk curled up to the corner of my lips as I penetrated my deadly gaze on her body. No lust, no feelings, but she was intimidated by my glaze. The fire she thought she could blow out, is now flaming higher than her expectation. What to say, she was the reason behind this fury.
“So, you think you can kill me?” I chuckled on her silly attitude.
She looked puzzled but her grip on the crossbow only got tightened.
“As what i said earlier, I am here to take what is mine and I left earlier..” she passed that same smirk to me and i loved it where it was going.
“Really? Come and take it?” I put pressure in my words and took a step forward.
However, I noticed her, taking her steps back.
“Whoa!! Seems like someone is terrified?” I was ready to plug in any moment but I was looking for my golden opportunity.
She laughed at my statement and turned gloomy at me, “terrified? I thought you were running away… anyway, didn’t I tell ya.. I am a hunter, I hunt monsters. And this time, I will hunt you. My biggest collection..”
“Well, at least I am something to you… a monster for a monster..” I raised my brows while staring at her.
She frowned at me and was ready to attack, “who cares? You become a monster the day you let the one free living inside your head.” she pulled the arrow and freed it.
I focused on my powers and burned it like a flaming fan. The arrow dug in the bark of the tree behind me and I loved the expression of frustration she was wearing on her face.
“f**k you…” yet, too stubborn to accept she can’t win…
One by one, I burned all of her arrows like a match stick and she left with nothing but attacking me with her small daggers.
“I don’t know how you can do it but trust me, i won’t be leaving this place without you, dead or alive..” She fired some boxing kicks on me but I dodged and guarded myself.
The look she was giving me, completely revolted, irritated and aggressive, she won't make it till the end.
“Once a wise man said, never let your anger control you, you will lose..” I commented while having a hand to hand combat with her.
“Who the f**k gave such unwanted advise?” she asked while twisting my arm behind my back.
“Didn’t you hear, i just said it..” I winked at her while jamming her arms with mine and locking her behind me.
She struggles to release but nah, you ain’t going anywhere girl. I have so many things to excavate from your mind.
“Let me go…” when nothing worked in her favor, she begged at last.
“Would you please ask more politely, I am not a stone heart person after all.” I was teasing her and loving the way she was getting it.
“Tard face, don’t ever think of that, f**k you and your entire universe, but once i get free, i will make you face crush with my heels.” too much venom she spit.
“Ouch… that hurts!! Tard face? Eww.. you talk dirty, girl!!! Well, I shouldn't be expecting you to be a girl of morals, since I saw the b***h behind your pretty face. Pretending so good to be a nurse but inside of you is the soul of a bitch.” i replied sarcastically, yet describing her with my word talent.
“My team will come here looking for me, and then your game will be over.” she spit more venom.
“I am familiar with this place, sweetheart, no one is going to look for you here. This whole wood is like a convolution. You will die, here, with me..” i said in a monotonous tone and let her hair freeze on the nape of her neck.
Suddenly, she looked paler than yellow when the realisation hit her. She finally found that I actually lured her here.
“You!!! Let me go…” she hustled harder this time.
“I will burn you with me, you dig your own grave and you actually did… well, I like it my way..” i chuckled while the flames danced on my shoulders.
She tried to push her body away from the fire but couldn't and eventually breakdown when she realised i ain’t joking.
“Please.. Stop it!!! I said, stop it… I don't want to die..” she was screaming at the top of her lungs.
“I will let you go.. If you went on a date with me?” I asked her.
“What? Are you out of your mind?” she looked more shocked than the fire itself.
“Do you want me to burn you?” I raised my eyebrow at her…
“No!! I will go on a date with you..” she accepted my offer.
Suddenly, I heard rustling of the bushes nearby me, and I let go of her. She fell on her back and I ran into the woods after I saw an arrow pass near me. Not so far, I stood and watched if they were coming to look for me but they didn't.
I hid in a tree and watched them silently. They were all six in numbers and what i could sense was, all of them were males
“So, this was your dedication to us?” a broad man stood towering her.
“No!! It wasn’t like that….” I heard Katia stutter like she was in fear.
Before she could say another word, the man raised his hands on her. She fell at a distance with her fragile body.
My anger burst and my fist clenched but before I could be in the caption, I felt a tap on my shoulder and I looked back to find Alarosu sitting beside me.
He gestured to me to wait and watch.
