The orange hue painted the white clouds and they scattered out in the deadly sky, where the crows screamed and ravens sung the song of the dead. The battle’s cry was heard from miles, and the drum rolls beating with intensified sound that the tiniest bug cleared the runway..
The ball of fire hid undered the dark clouds, indicating there would be darkness over the ground.
“Your Majesty! Looks like the day itself made it to be turned darker. Can you see that sky, it’s screaming for blood.” Alarous pointed out at the sky while watching the queen descending the stairs in the king's battle suit.
She was looking like a forecast goddess under the barrier of her own securities but yet she was so destructive, no one had imagined. There was an unexplainable radiation of power through her body, making everyone submit to her ends.
“Today, it is the day of the judgement. It will be us or them.” the queen said with a heavy voice.
“You can still shine a light on that decision, my lady.” Alarous tried to remind his queen.
“There is no need. If I had a doubt in the beginning, I wouldn't have taken up the lead in the battle, Alarous, but I hope you will take great care of the prince in my absence.” her eyes softened at the moment but suddenly a thought croissant and she was back into her ruthless position.
Alarous was perplexed but bowed down to his queen.
“Have made the arrangements?” The queen asked with power in her voice.
“Yes, your majesty. Once you take the lead on the battlefield, I will take the Prince away with me. Pardon me, Your Majesty, I do have a doubt which left me in a dilemma.” Alarous asked while keeping his eyes on the ground.
The queen halted and turned to glance at him, “what is it?” she asked him.
“Umm.. it is actually, I am scared of using the sand. What if we got stuck somewhere?” Alarous looked genuinely scared.
“That’s why I appointed you, Alarous. I am well aware of your ability to find a solution quickly, and your judgement has been proved beneficial for our kingdom before. I know I have handed our future in better hands.” The Queen looked determined and serious.
To which, Alarous agreed politely and kept his head lower than before.
“Now, it’s the time, I better prepare for departure.” The queen announced and left the camp while wearing her phantom helmet on her head.
She arrived like a goddess and the army and the generals bowed to her, but no one had a hint that the queen was covered in the battlesuit in front of them.
The general approached the queen and whispered something in her ear, to which the queen nodded precisely and made to the chariot. The army assembled in the form and with one signal from the leader, they all left with force to the battlefield.
Alarous watched them leaving and his heart was heavy, more than his arms while cradling the baby. There was a lump formed in his throat and sweat beads on his forehead. One last time, the queen turned her head to glance back at her life, what she was leaving behind, having no idea if she will succeed in this battle or not.
Alarous sighed deeply and returned to the wing. He made available everything he wanted for the young prince. About him, he knew he would survive on his own but that little bundle of joy, he was delicate to face this harsh world of selfish gods and corrupt deities.
“For you, I am doing this. I hope you won’t disappoint us in future, Cassian Thesaurus, the future king of Thesaurus kingdom, the kingdom of wolves.” Alarous said in a cooing tone to the baby.
After his arrangements, he was all set to run from this timeline. His hands were trembling while holding the sand in the glass bottle. His throat was dried and heartbeats rushed at a higher pace.
Rushing through the deep forest, to find a hotspot from where his flight to a new escape will take off. With the future of Thesaurus in his hands, he felt more powerful than before. He knew he had to do it, no matter what objectified his sanity. He was in his mind to do it.
The confidence boosted through his eyes when he heard the roar of the wolves of the kingdom. The queen has handed a responsibility to him for a reason, he cannot let his crown fall down from his head.
Reaching at the top of the cliff from where he watched the army descending to the battlefield and waited for the destruction to happen.
The queen was taking the army like the titans had arrived from the depth of hell. And this made Zeus shocked. He was mad but now this madness turned aggressive to see the king alive and ready to fight.
The royal chariots from both armies stood facing each other. Zeus still doesn't believe the scene in front of his eyes. The king stood tall and confident but the phantom helmet bothered him alot, there was a feeling deep in his heart that something was behind that mask.
“I am impressed, you showed up after i cut you up, almost. Seems like the stubbornness you passed on to an heir, i hope he won’t be a mindless dog s**t like you.” there was a smug smile on his face and his eyes were thrilled.
The queen stayed silent and watched him with her red eyes through the helmet.
“What? You have nothing to say?” Zeus was bothered but still he was never letting a chance to mock Omar.
The queen pulled out the sword and raised higher in the orange sky, indicating that she won’t give up to the end.
Zeus was irritated by this gesture and sighed while taking back his chariot. Alarous watched pensive but his heart was trembling under the roar of thousands of footsteps rushing towards each other, just to kill each other and shed blood in name of loyalty.
With the sword rising higher, the army lashed at enemies and shredded them into pieces. The rivers flowed in red and the battlefield painted in blood, again.
Zeus' eyes were locked on the king. His irritation turned into frustration that wasn’t hidden by anyone, now even with the queen. They were facing each other in the middle of the battlefield, their weapons in their hands with grips getting tight around the handle.
The blade collided and the sparks generated with the heavy impact. Blow by another blow and fire was ignited around the challengers. Zeus was facing trouble dealing with the king today. The moves and skill appeared different and unique to him. As far as he knew, he was aware of Omar’s every move but he was fighting in a new style and yet with power.
Even the clouds roared when their weapons striked together, thundering growl scared the s**t out of everyone.
Alarous was scared and the little baby cried. Before anyone could notice, he quickly covered him and ran before anyone noticed them. He was returning back to the wing when he noticed the wing was set on fire by the men of Zeus' army.
Alarous was dumbfounded. The queen was right that they will do anything to capture the young Prince. Now the urgency has risen and he has to escape before anyone spots him with the young heir of Thesaurus.
When he was running into the winds, he was blocked by a few more enemies. This bothered Alarous to the core. He should have gone long before this happened.
“Give us that pup and we will leave you.” the leader of those men demanded forcefully.
Alarous smelled that this isn’t going to be fun until he only thinks of escaping, he needs to protect the heir as well.
Alarous took out his sword and was ready to kill all of them. Tied the prince to his chest, he killed a few obstacles in his ways and rushed before others arrived. After finding a decent spot, he took out the sand bottle and dusted the sand all over his body. He was scared and panting but with all his will, he thought of a safer place for the prince and waited.
Soon the sand worked and Alarous and prince’s body disintegrated into dust and mixed with the air.
The queen was battling with all the power left in her but Zeus had the upper hand in the battle. She was tired and exhausted after giving birth but that didn’t bother her. She fought to keep Zeus engaged so she could buy Alarous some more time.
Zeus blew a hard impact with his weapon thunderbolt on the head of the helmet which eventually cracked the phantom helmet of the queen.
She gasped when she noticed what just happened. She was careful for the next blow but her tired body was giving up on each passing seconds. Zeus blew a hit and the sword from The queen’s hand slipped.
The queen fell from the chariot and the helmet broke. When she stood, her long red mane dropped to her waist. The soldiers stopped fighting when they noticed who was standing among the battlefield.
Zeus was left in shock but it didn’t surprise him. Since the beginning he was eager to know the face behind the helmet.
“I knew it wasn’t the king.” Zeus put the thunderbolt on The queen’s neck, “tell me where is he or i will kill you here.” he was impatient.
The queen noticed his urgency and smiled widely, “then kill me because you won’t get a piece of my husband or my child.”
“You serious? Because I don't take a joke from a woman.” Zeus raised his weapon to s***h the neck…..
