Chapter three

1044 Words
Going to the office was something Levi did everyday including the weekends, so today was no different even though he could feel it in his bones something was different, I guess it was pecks of being a supernatural but like everything around him Levi ignored it, he was not going to let anything get to him, he had worked hard for weeks for this project to flop now. He took a quick shower, and put on his expensive yet approachable suit, his aura as the former child of the alpha king was suffocating enough as it is, he didn’t want his suit to do the same, people like a person they can easily approach, he paired it with a white shirt, and black leather shoes. He took many stack of papers in his office that was in his apartment. It had plans of the school they wanted to build, he didn’t know where he was going and where the school will be but he was excited, building a school was a big project, and it was going to put his name on the map. He drove to his company, and was greeted by his secretary who liked to dress provocative to get his attention, Levi was not stupid he knew Sarah wanted him from the first interview but he ignored it, and no one in the city Knew about his sexuality, and he wanted it to stay that way until he had build his empire, he didn’t want him being gay to affect his business. “Morning, Mr. King.” Sarah smiled seductively making sure her cleavage was still in place. “Yes, Sarah, bring my coffee, and make sure the boardroom is ready for our visitors, will really love it if everything was perfect” Levi winked at her, making her blush it was easy to make her do things right, a wink here and there, and complimenting her when she did good made her behave. “Your coffee is ready sir. I made a cup the moment you got in the building” she smiled turning and going to get a boardroom ready, that’s another thing about Sarah, she was a shifter a feline but Levi didn’t know which one yet, he knew Sarah could easily tell he was a shifter too, maybe that’s why she was attracted to him, many shifters hid in the city, and they didn’t even wait to find their mates. They mated like humans, date, get engaged and a wedding. Levi envied them, they lived their life’s s freely but he just couldn’t, he sighed not wanting to think about Clement anymore, he needed to focus. He signed the documents in his desk making sure everything was in order, working made him concentrate and it was easier to get lost in his job, it was not always like this but he had practice. Until the phone rang, and it was Sarah. “Sir, your guest are here?” She purred on the phone “Send them to the boardroom I’m coming” he ended the call before she could answer. He fixed his suit, takings all the paper work, to the boardroom, but stopped when he got to the door. His heart thumping in his chest the familiar pineapple scent intoxicating him, he didn’t need to be told twice who was in the room, He already knew, and he was not ready to meet him, he will never be ready to see him again, and like a coward he turned back, and bumping into Sarah. “Cancel the meeting tell them I got sick or something” Levi’s wolf was fighting him his eyes turning blue like Clements, he wanted to go to his mate but Levi was nyit having it. “You don’t look sick to me?” Said a gruff alluring voice, and his wolf purred at the sound it had been so long, he wanted to run to him, and kiss those soft lips to hold that long hair, he shook his thoughts, and turning to glare at the man behind him, he didn’t want to show him how much he still affected him. He turned ready to tell the man off. “Then…” he felt like all the air was knocked out of his lungs the moment he set his eyes on Clement, he was wearing a grey suit, his hair tied into a bun, his scruffy looking beard covering half of his face. He was delectable if you could say that about a man. “Then, I have a emergency to attend” he turned to run to his office and locked himself in knowing Clement was following him, he always lost his cool in front of him, he wanted to seem strong, to show Clement he was doing good without him, but instead he was ogling the man, 'stupid Levi' he muttered under his breathe rubbing his face angrily “Are you going to be a baby about it, and hide in your office forever?” Levi could hear the humour in his voice, and the smirk that was probably plastered on his plump lips. f**k, can’t anything his thinking about not be s****l? “Its not hiding if it’s working, I have s**t load of work to do, make another appointment with my secretary, and I will attend it. Sorry to waste your time Mr. Black” Levi smiled. He clearly handled it well, this time. He thought proud. “Levi, you can’t hide forever. I can easily break this door but I won’t, I’m going to come back tomorrow, and I also need answers. You owe me that” Levi heard his strained voice. He wanted to run and open the door. Tell him to wait, tell him the real reason he left but he couldn’t . So many things had happened since then. He heard his footsteps move from the door knowing Levi was not about to answer, it broke his heart but he was not going to run after him, no good was going to come out of it. Clement was still going to hate him nonetheless. He sat back on the chair with tears in his eyes, dreading to meet him again tomorrow, maybe he needs to leave town tonight, and wait until Clement goes back to the island. Clement was the alpha King's beta after all, he won’t stay in the city forever.
