Captive

"Gonna go to the restroom for a moment." I excused myself to Brent while everyone was so busy bragging about themselves. While walking towards the restroom, I bumped into somebody and so I immediately apologized for doing so as she screams from the pain of bumping on each other's shoulders. When I looked at her, she looks so wasted and her purse dropped on the floor so I picked it up and gave it back to her. "Are you okay?" But she didn't respond to me. Maybe she's too drunk and the place was surrounded by loud music to understand what I'm trying to say. I tried to look at her face to see if she's still conscious and realized that she's the same girl who stops right in front of me a while ago. I hope she's not using this to gain my attention, maybe not this far. "Miss, are you okay? Snap it out or else as*h*les will come after you." I tried to get her back to her senses but I guess she's too drunk to do so. I called out for the bouncer and asks someone to assist her. It took a while before they could find the person who's with her and then I excused myself. I went back to the restroom to finish my business before I came back to our table. Everyone was looking at me with a malicious stare as they were all bantering at me. "I thought you'll just gonna release yourself but when we checked on you, you're not there. You were with the gorgeous lady from a while ago, sitting side-by-side while leaning her head on your shoulder. I guess the ignore to capture is very effective ha?" And they were all laughing out loud as they enjoy teasing me. I just smirked at their wild imagination. There's no point with explaining yourself on drunkards. As the night gets deeper, drinking on their seat bores everyone so we decided to go down and moved to the dance floor where the main event is about to happen. Dancing while grinding will always be the highlight of enjoying the crowd on the dance floor. And my friends enjoy it the most. As the music gets louder and the beat gets you hyped, the crowd gets wilder. They jump and dance like there's no tomorrow as they enjoy the music with the influence of different types of liquors that run through their system. Brent and Jeff disperse as they were all looking for their target while I was just at our standing table, enjoying the wild crowd while finishing this glass of whiskey. But before I knew it, somebody stand beside me, and our eyes met for a moment. She raised her glass as she offers a toast and so I did. She smiled gorgeously before she bottoms up what's on her glass. She must be thirsty for some cocktails. She looked at me as if waiting for me to do something but I just stare at her blankly and looked away. "I guess the rumors are not just rumors. You're the snobbish Cassanova that every girl wanted to be within this bar yet no one ever wins your heart. Interesting!" She speaks loudly right on my ears as the music gets louder. I bet her throat is aching while trying her best to speak in the middle of loud party music. And in just a few seconds, she coughs while holding her throat. Probably because of shouting after drinking a cold cocktail. I offered the bottled water on the table and she stared at me in awe. "Thank you." She said after drinking the water. And I just nod as a response. After a few more minutes of silence between the two of us, she never budges at all and remained standing right next to me. And I can feel the crowd starts noticing us. I'm used to getting attention but not this kind of look in their eyes. It feels like they've been looking at her and I know there must be something wrong. So I tried to talk to her, hoping she knew what's going on. "Hey." She looked at me while displaying her gorgeous smile. And her eye smile is undeniably attractive. "Is there something else you need from me? I'm pretty sure that standing right next to me bores you out." I asked. "To be honest with you, me and my friends had a little betting game. And I don't wanna lose so I am holding on as much as I can." She explains. "O-kay? And that has something to do with standing right next to some other guy. Then there are a lot of other guys who would die to have your presence so I guess you just took the wrong choice. You'll probably lose if you'll stick with me." I guess that's the longest sentence I've ever said to somebody else. "No! Sticking right next to you will make me win. If you'll cooperate with me and do me a little bit of favor. I can have the victory in this game." She responded. "Sorry but I'm not interested." And I turned my back at her. I knew it's kinda rude but betting over someone is ruder. I maybe snob but I am not rude to anybody. She was about to leave the table as I didn't even glance at her after that conversation but she bumps with Jeff and stopped her from leaving. "Hey, dude. Wasting the chance to be with this gorgeous is far-fetched. Why don't you give it a try to enjoy each other's company?" He uttered. I just looked at him blankly and he just raised his brows while displaying an annoying smile. "Thanks, but I guess your friend feels uncomfortable being around me so I just go back to my friends." I drink the last dropped of my whiskey and hold her wrist to stop her from leaving. Dam**t. I'm used to snubbing all the girls who throw themselves to me as if they don't have self-respect but this lady makes me ruin my rule. I took two steps to come near her so I could whisper right to her ear. "I'll help you this once. And you'll be forever indebted to me. Would that be fine with you?" She looked so surprised and terrified at the same time while listening to what I said. She clenched on the hem of her clothes while looking somewhere, probably to where her friends are. It's a matter of pride over my rule. If badly wants to win this bet, she has to deal with the consequences in exchanges with me, breaking my rules. She leans her face on my ears and all the girls gasp from so much envy. Probably envied how lucky she is to win the attention of the snobbish Cassanova that they can never have. "What's your deal? Let me hear them first." She leans her arm on my shoulder while smiling as she speaks right in my ear. "You'll know after winning the bet," I responded while tucking the loose strands of her hair behind her earlobe. Our eyes met and she's smiling gorgeously at me. That eye smile, to be specific, is a cheat code. I admit it, those eyes smile is so d*mn attractive. She looked at her friends at the next table and winked at them as she shouts for her victory. "Guess you gotta go back to your seat right there and claim the prize. Be back as soon as you're done." She looks at me fiercely as she hates how I commanded her but then she realized that it's the price of my cooperation. She walked with poise and pride as she go back to where her friends are while Jeff and Brent were shouting out of joy to see me having my captive. "I thought you're all good? Why did you let her leave?" Brent asked but for all I know, he just wanna bring her friends and be with us. "She'll be back. She can't escape from me unless I said so." Jeff and Brent looked at each other as they were so thrilled to see me acting so proud and confident. "Guess you found the flavor of the week," Jeff commented. "Not sure if it will gonna last a week but she'll be my captive starting tonight." And I smirked as we bumped our glasses. "For Jace's new captive.~"
