My Boyfriend is My Doctor

CHAPTER 3 1st Day on Fieldwork

Marnie's first exposure to the field was at St. Luke's Hospital in Quezon City.

She was busy arranging her call cards for the doctor's signature when suddenly she bumped into a big wall and she fell on the hospital's hallway with her call cards and sampling scattered on the floor.

She felt dizzy and someone just helped her to rise and picked her things.

She was about to explode due to embarrassment. Her high-heeled shoe was broken making it difficult to walk.

"You..." as she was about to yell, she noticed that the big wall she bumped on was wearing a white coat, a doctor in particular.

"I'm sorry doctor. Let me be the one to pick my things then. Thank you, doctor," she said politely.

The doctor noticed the broken heeled shoe Marnie and said," You sit first. Do you have extra shoes," he asked her with concern. Though Dr. Michael Co was a bit arrogant. He knew that he also faulted as he didn't focus when he bumped this little cute Medical Representative. He knew that she was already a Medrep since he used to encounter them every day in the hospital.

"None doctor. I'll just buy it later. Thank you," Marnie said.

Dr. Co get his phone and dialed his secretary's number and said," Do you have s spare sandals there? Kindly bring it here in hallway 5. I'll wait for you.: Marnie heard him told his secretary about borrowing her sandals.

"No worries doctor," she said.

Dr. Michael Co looked at her and smirked. "Don't take it seriously. I just did it for you to walk comfortably okay. Next time you have to walk consciously to avoid bumping at anyone," he left then while Marnie was frozen from what the doctor said.

"He helped me and now he scold me, hmmm," she murmurs while looking at the back of the doctor who is leaving.

"Anyways it's okay then. He seemed to be so handsome and smelled so yummy," she said to herself while waiting for the doctor's secretary. She doesn't want to offend the doctor's kindness of lending her his secretary's sandals. It's her first day of duty as a Professional Medical Representative. She's new in this industry and she wants to cultivate a good impression here.

Dr. Michael Co's secretary arrived and gave her a set of sandals then. It fits her well and she said, "How nice of you? Thank you so much," she said politely to the secretary.

"Welcome. You are new here right? Perhaps Dr. Co will also be in your list of coverage," the secretary approached her so kindly and she was so touched.

"Thank you, are too kind. What's his name by the way?" she asked while checking her list.

"He is Dr, Michael Co, Top Surgeon here," the secretary replied.

"He's here. Thank you," she said before the secretary leave her with a smile.

"Wow, I've encountered my Top Core Doctor already. It's quite shameful of me, as he helped me picked my things a while ago," she said to herself.

"I'll apologize when it comes to my turn to cover him later," he thought so.

She had 20 doctors to meet today and the last one will be Dr. Michael Co. The doctor had a lot of patients still waiting outside his clinic and Marnie patiently waited outside. Since he was the last to be covered and Marnie was a bit tired already, when the back of her head touched the wall, she fall asleep.

When the clinic hour is over, Sr. Michael Co get his things and started to leave when he saw Marnie sleeping while sitting in the waiting area. She was still holding the calling card for Dr. Co's signature.

He remembered that she was the one who broke her heels this morning.

He slowly came near Marnie and tapped her shoulder, "Hi young lady. Wake up," he said to her softly. He saw how tired she was.

Marnie slowly opened her eyes and was mesmerized by the handsome face in front of her." Hmmn . Hi," she said while smiling at Dr. Co,

Dr. Co seemed to enjoy this little lady's reaction. He smiled and said," I'm leaving. Do you still need my signature?"

Marnie widened her eyes and collected herself. "Oh, yes doctor. I am sorry. I am Marnie Castello from Metropaharma Phils," she immediately introduced herself and detailed a little about her product before she gave out samples to Dr, Co.

"Nice meeting you Marnie," Dr. Co said while signing on her call card already. He had encountered this young lady two times this day already. At first, he is a bit irritated at her with her clumsiness this morning, but looking at her now late the evening and patiently waited for his availability, he seemed to acknowledged her presence already.

"Thank you, Dr. Co. It's just my first day here. Thank you also for helping me this morning," Marnie thanked the doctor sincerely.

"It's okay. Next time you can ask my secretary if you can come in already so that it won't take you too long to wait. Don't you have friends yet here?" he asked as he noticed that Marnie was alone. Usually, there were groups of medical representatives in every hospital.

"I don't have friends yet here doctor. It's my first day actually as a Medrep. I came from the province too," she said.

"Amm ok. Have you had your dinner already?" Dr. Co asked her while looking at his watch. It's past 9 PM already and she was the only meters left in the hospital.

"Not yet doctor but I'll have it at home. It's just one ride from here. Thank you," she said politely.

Her stomach betrayed her by having some sounds and Dr. Co heard those.

"See, you must not delay your meals. Come let's have dinner first at the canteen. I'm a bit hungry too," he invited Marnie.

Marnie was a bit hesitant, but she was so ashamed to offend Dr. Co's invitation. Besides she was indeed so hungry.

"Come on. Don't be shy. My treat," he said. He found himself fond of this young lady. She looked so smart yet with an innocent face.

"Thanks, Dr.Co," she joined dinner with him and she can't help but eat a lot. She was so full while Dr. Co is fondly watching at her. He is enjoying himself as she eats nonstop. "This young lady seemed to skipped most of her meals for the day," he thought so.

Burp. She can't help it when she burped soundly.

"I'm sorry doctor. Thank you so much. I'm full already," she said shyly.

Dr, Michael Co can't help but laugh. He enjoyed being with her.

"Where do you leave? Do you have a car already? I can send you home if it's along the way," he said.

"I'm at Project 4 doctor. Don't have a car yet, it will be released next month after I've passed the driving lesson.No need doctor, it will be too abusive on my part with your kindness," she said.

"It's not abusive. I offer it okay," he smiled at her.

"Besides it's late already. You are not that familiar here in the city. I insist. Let's go. I'll drop you home. It's along my way too," he said then he stand up already

He dropped her at Project 4.

"Thank you, doctor. Keep safe," Marnie said while waving goodbye to Dr. Co.

"Welcome. See you next time," he said then left.

Marnie waited for Dr. Co's car completely out of her sight before she entered their boarding house already.
