The Escaping Luna

Panic

Once the King had left, Jillian and Eve looked at one another and sighed in relief. Eve spoke first, "Jilly, we have to go now. Once he speaks to the Rogue he will know you, we lied. He will kill us on the spot." Jillian now quietly nods her head while thinking of a quick plan. She took out her phone and dialed the first person she could think of that would be able to help. "Kaia? He knows. Eve and I are dead if he figures out it was us, and he will. We need your help now." After what felt like a five-hour conversation, Jillian hung up the phone and looked at Eve. "Go to your room, and grab only what is important. ID, phone, charger, important identity documents, etc..We are leaving immediately. Meet me at the servant elevator in 5 min." Eve nodded and left. Jillian ran to her room to get her documents, then to the kitchen to grab a few bags of blood to get them by until tomorrow. Eve had actually beaten her to their meeting place. They entered the elevator, and ran the same path that Kaia had. With their vamp speed they were scheduled to reach the village she had sent Kaia to a lot quicker. She just hoped that their ride would already be there. She had called Nigel while they stopped briefly to rest and he had assured her he would be there.

The sun was rising when they finally came to the edge of the village. The girls breathed a sigh of relief and made their way to the meeting point. Hearing a loud screech in the distance, they started to run faster in a panic. They had been discovered and the search party was closing in. As they approached Nigel, Eve's eyes widened and whispered "MATE!!" Nigel froze momentarily and then ran to her "MINE!!" As much as he wanted to just melt into her and stay wrapped in her scent, he grabbed a spray bottle, and he sprayed them with a mysterious liquid and said "get in the very back of the SUV and cover yourselves. The liquid will mask your scent so that you can escape before they can catch your smell. Hurry now!" The girls did as they were told and Nigel sped off in the direction of the Winter River Pack, passing the Vampire crew as if it were nothing.

"It's safe ladies, you can come out now." Eve wasted no time as she climbed across the seats to the front of the SUV. She clung to his side. Cuddling with Nigel and just breathing him in.

Jillian climbs into the back seat and asks "How long have we been driving?" Nigel chuckles "Just under 4 hours, sis. We are almost there. Do you need me to stop for anything?" Jilly thought about it and shook her head, "No, I think I can wait until we get there. Do you have any water somewhere?" Nigel reaches for the small cooler on the front floorboard, trying not to wake Eve. Grabs a bottle of water and hands it to Jilly. He looks in the rearview mirror at her and sighs, "Ya know sis, I have been waiting for this day for a long time. Not only did I get my baby sister back, but I also found my mate. Does she know we are related? Does she know you are not just a Vamp, but a wolf too?" Jillian smiles and nods her head, "Yes brother, she knows everything there is to know about me. Eve has been there for me since Luca took me. She is only a year older, but was more of a mother to me than our own. When Luca turned me into a hybrid, Eve was the one who nursed me back to health. Eve is a hybrid as well. She was taken by Luca as a small child though. Her family is from Autumn Leaf. She doesn't remember them but that is her story to tell." Nigel nodded and said " We are here. Alpha Hardin knows you are both coming. He's a good man, but will have a lot of questions. Please sis, answer with total honesty. All of the truth. Telling him can only help ya know. He wants Luca dead just as much as we all do. Jillian nods in agreement as they exit the SUV.

The pack house door flings open and Kaia comes running to them, grabbing them both. "Jilly, Evie, you're safe!!! I was so worried. Please, please come inside. You must be exhausted and starving." The girls walked hand in hand into Pack House and were greeted by Alpha Hardin and Luna Madalyn. "Come girls, let's get you cleaned up and fed. Then you can rest for as long as you need. We will discuss everything tomorrow. Just know that you are safe here. Tonight is a night to relax and regroup."

**Kaia POV**

I have been home for less than 48 hours. I haven't eaten or slept well. Fear overtakes me sometimes, and causes so much anxiety. My father and I have had many conversations about what happened since I've returned home, but I think he is having a hard time accepting the fact of what Luca did to me. I'm no longer just a wolf, but something else. Luca is building a clan of Hybrid females. Taking girls and women from their homes and giving them just enough of his venom to only partially change them. That way, they don't fully lose who they were. Most of us were werewolves, there were a few fae, a few nymphs, and quite a number of witches. The witch hybrids went mad when he changed them. Luca only used that to his advantage.

As I laid in bed trying to sleep, my phone rang. "Hello?"

"Kaia, it's Jilly. He knows. Eve and I are escaping and have no where to go. Is Nigel still with you?"

"Yes, yes he is, and you do have a place to go. I will send Nigel to you immediately. Same place he met me. Jilly, please be careful."

"We will K, thank you. See you soon."

I hung up the phone and made my way downstairs to the living room. My dad, my brother and Nigel were watching a football game and looked over at me as I walked in. "Dad, Tomas, Nigel, we have a situation." I explained what Jilly had told me, and how urgent it was to get to them. My dad nods and says "You were right to give them somewhere to stay. We will help them however possible. Do you know them well? Are they safe to bring to the packhouse? If they need other accommodation, we will provide that. " I shake my head, "No dad, they are fully safe. No need to worry about pack safety. They are like me. Taken from their families and turned into....a hybrid like me. I trust them with my life, daddy." He nods his head in understanding and Nigel clears his throat. "Um, Alpha, Kaia, there is something you need to know. Jillian is my baby sister. I was away on Pack business when Luca took her. He killed our father. He was the Alpha of our pack. My oldest brother now holds that title." I gasp "YOU are Jilly's brother? Why did you wait so long to tell us? What pack are you guys from?" My dad coughs, and looks at me "Kaia, I'm sure he has his reasons. It hasn't been long since he got you home. All questions can be answered when he gets back with the girls." I agree. "Nigel, do you need anyone to come with you?" He shakes his head and says "No, Alpha, thank you. It would be easier to get in and out if it was just me. I do have a question though. Do you know where I can find some scent masking spray? It would make this a million times easier."
