The Reunion

Tomas leaves the room and comes back with a bottle of spray. "The potion works for up to 12 hours, and works immediately. It should definitely get you all out safely." Nigel shakes my dad and brothers hands, hugs me and takes his leave. My father pulls me into a hug and whispers "I love you kiddo. Go get some rest. Things are about to change." I sigh, but agree to try. As I walked up to my room, I saw my mother sitting at the kitchen table drinking a cup of tea. She looked deep in thought, so i cleared my throat to get her attention. She jumps "OH, sweetheart, I didn't hear you come in. Is everything OK?" I smiled at her, "Yes mama, I was heading up to try and rest and saw you sitting here, and thought I would say goodnight." She got up to come hug me and cups my face, "Are you sure? You look as if you have the weight of the world on your shoulders." You can never keep anything from my mom. She can detect a lie, or that you are hiding something just by looking you in the eyes. So I told her everything that was happening. Detail by detail. She sits quietly for a moment, and smiles. "Well, I should get a shopping list together so that we make sure to get what they need from the shops. Can you help me with their sizes and preferences, honey?" I smiled and we started the list. Everything from clothing, shoes, toiletries, foods and nutritional needs, and everything else in between. Mom called in a few of our warriors to go to the storage to get furniture, bedding and anything else needed to furnish their rooms. I was thankful to my parents for understanding and helping my friends. We finished the list, and I headed to my room. It was close to 4:30am. As I laid my head on my pillow, I was asleep in no time. I was awoken to a soft knock on my door. "Kaia, your friends have just arrived at the gate. Please come down to greet and welcome them."

I jumped out of bed excitedly and ran to the front door. Nigel's car comes to a stop and I see my friends climbing out. I screeched with joy and ran to them. "OMG you are here! I am so happy you two are safe." I grab them both tightly, thankful my friends are safe and away from the hell which we escaped.

Everyone makes their way into the house, and Kaia pulls the girls up the stairs to her room to get cleaned up for dinner. Jillian and Eve are shocked at the mere size of it. Kaia notices and giggles at them. "Don't be so shocked. Evie, your room with Nigel is just as large, and Jilly's room is a little smaller, but has a full balcony. All the bedrooms and suites in the Pack House have full bathrooms. The suites have mini kitchens. My mom has shopped for both of you and your closets are full of things you will need for now, and once things die down we will head back to the mall and shop til we drop. Anything you want." Jillian is all over the place looking at every single feature of Kaia's room. She asks Kaia to show her how to work the shower and for some clothes, and heads in to freshen up. Kaia comes back to see Eve on her knees sobbing. "K, I am so scared. We have brought so much danger to your pack. What if Luca comes for us here?" Kaia grabs her and pulls her into a huge bear hug. "Evie, I promise you that you are safe here. We have so many people protecting us. My dad, my brother, all of the warriors.....Nigel, your mate. Luca would be the dumbest creature on the planet to try to come for us here." She replies, "Don't take this wrong, but he got to you." I nodded my head and explained, "Oh, sweet girl. He didn't take me from Winter River. We were at a smaller neighboring pack helping them rebuild from a fire. I wanted to go down to the creek and just put my feet in to cool off. He approached me, made up some story about being lost, and as I was giving him directions he grabbed me, covered my screams with his hand and drug me to his car. He put a blindfold on me and I blacked out. Next thing I remembered was waking up in my room in the castle. He had already *sigh*....changed me before I woke up. Then you know the rest." She calmed down, but still held the embrace. I heard her quietly whisper "Thank you K, thank you Goddess, now let's eat." Kaia burst out laughing and the girls sat there laughing together loudly as Jilly walked in the room. "You two sound like some cackling hens. Do not ever make fun of my laughing ever again." Then Jilly herself fell to the floor to laugh with them. "Everything OK girls? What did I miss?" Eve looked at her and said "Yea...everything is amazing. Let's go eat, I'm starving."

The girls walked to the dining hall. Everyone was already sitting around the table chatting, but became quiet when they walked in. The three looked at each other, then looked at everyone seated. Jilly started looking around, at herself, started smelling herself and, with a weird look on her face, she asked " Do we look weird? Smell?" Eve started to giggle and looked at Kaia. Then all 3 girls started cracking up, which caused the others to laugh. "Come girls, have a seat. Food will be served momentarily" Alpha Hardin said.

They hurried and sat down. Kaia next to her mother, Jillian next to her, and Eve next to Nigel.

The omega's started to bring out the food and place it on the table. There was so much food. There were five different kinds of meat, fish, seafood, vegetables, pastas, salads, breads, desserts. You name it, it was there. Alpha Hardin, tapped his glass to quiet everyone down.

"Before we dig in to this awesome feast, I would like to say something. The past months have been incredibly difficult for the Winter River pack, and our family. I am beyond thankful to our new friends for bringing our girl home. I am thankful to welcome you into our family, and you are all welcome to stay for as long as you want. If you would like to join our pack, we can also make that happen. For now...LET"S EAT!"
