I listened as I watched them argue over where the best place to start was.
"We need to just go after them!" Ryker boomed.
"We need to sneak through their lines at the southeast broder!" Asher pointed angrily at the map.
"I think we should see if he tries anything first!" Said Kingston.
I sighed to myself and walked over to a window and looked down at the beautiful garden. I smiled and turned watching the chaos. I could tell Ryker just wanted to "storm the castle" and was trying to hold back from just making orders and make them comply.
I walked back over the table "ENOUGH!" I yelled over their yelling. All three of them silenced and just looked at me. "He's going to flip this to the entire pack that you kidnapped me. I know this because I overheard his conversation with his father. His Alpha ceremony is in 5 days. Everyone will be gathered there. That's when we can make our appearance, before his dad passes Alpha to him. He doesn't deserve it."
I watched as they all pondered over the idea
"Okay you have our attention. What do we do? We can't just show up with all of our warriors, it'll be a full on war." Asher looked at me from across the table.
"I know. That is why it will be us three. Gracie is still there correct Kingston?" He nodded and I continued "Okay then she will get us past the border security and we can make our way to the Packhouse in Blood Moon. Then during the ceremony I'll interrupt whoever is speaking by walking out on stage, with Ryker holding my hand. And you two along with Gracie at my side." I looked at Ryker and he looked at me and smiled.
Ryker looked to the other guys "Well fellas. I think that sounds like a solid plan. What do you think?"
Asher nodded his head at my suggestion "Heck of a better plan than what any of us could come up with. I'm game."
Kingston nodded also "Sounds pretty legit to me, let's do it!"
I turned and looked at Ryker "We are going to need more help on the inside. Grant smashed my phone and I am sure my mother is worried sick about me. Do you mind if I use yours? My father, as you know is currently Beta. We could use that in our favor."
"Absolutely." He slid his phone over to me "Here you go babe."
I picked it up and his background was of us dancing and I looked up from the phone and at him "How did you?"
"I took it before you knew who I was." Kingston said proudly. "He said his mate was here and I wanted to capture the first time dancing together."
"Its a wonderful photo, thank you. When I get my phone replaced I would like this sent to me." I smiled as dialed my moms number. It rang but unfortunately went to voice-mail. I frowned downed at the phone and redial the number.
"Hello?" It was my mother on the other end. She generally never answered phone calls from numbers she didn't recognize, which is why I had to call her twice.
"Mom, it's me, I am safe. We have so much to discuss, I'll text the details to you as its hard to explain over the phone. But I need only you and dad to come to Green Woodland." I leaned back in my seat and looked over at my dashing mate.
"Annabelle?! Callan! It's Annabelle! Baby are you okay?" She sounded panic and I heard my father in the background demanding the phone. "Honey I am putting it on speaker phone. Your father would also like to hear your voice.
"Hi dad. I am fine." I said once more.
"Anna, I'll kill him. How did you manage to get a phone?" He spoke gruff and sounded angry.
I sighed "Dad Ryker did not kidnap me. It was Grant. Ryker helped rescue me along with Asher and Kingston earlier today. I need you both to come to Green Woodland alone."
"What?!" My father's voice boomed.
My mom was calming him down. "Now Callan sweetheart all that matters is Anna is safe. I'm sure they can explain it better which is why we must go to her. Anna is now fine? It'll take about 4 hours."
"Absolutely, Asher will meet you at the boundary line. Our warriors are on edge because the pack keeps trying to attack. I love you guys."
"We love you." They said together and I hit the end button, hanging up the phone.
"They're on the way." I walked over to Ryker, handing him the phone.
"How about I take you up to my room so you can shower, take a nap, relax in peace and quiet? I can even bring you food or a snack and I can have our head chef make something special for when your parents arrive?" He took me into his arms and smiled down to me.
"A hot shower sounds wonderful. But I don't have any clothes." I frowned.
"You and my sister are about the same size, I'll have her bring some to you." He kissed the top of my head and took me by the hand, leading me to his room. We passed by several people who bowed their head down as a sign of respect, many of which, raised a questioning look over to me, wondering who this strange person covered in dirt was.
We walked into his bedroom and I looked around. It was overly manly and cold feeling. His bed had a steel edge with a black colored padded headboard. His walls were plain dark grey, and his furniture matched his bed. We walked through the bathroom doors and the bathroom was beautiful. There was a huge walk in shower that was lined with white subway tile and a decorative smaller grey tones black and a sparkled strip through the middle that was about a foot long and a huge over sized garden tub that looked like it could fit three or four people in. I ran my fingers over the marbled white and grey sink. "Your bathroom is beautiful." The floor was done in black tiles and set off the white of everything else. The wall paint was a softer grey color. and silver fixtures decorated the white cabinet doors on the double sink. There was also a vanity that matched the sink.
"Here is a robe, its mine so it may be a little big. I'm going to give you your space but if you hear anyone outside the door it should be my sister, Lillian." He kissed the top of my head and looked down at me. I will be waiting with a snack outside the door and will walk you to your room, if you would feel safer there.
I smiled up to him "Thank you so much." He was very thoughtful and understood that I may have boundaries and wouldn't force my hand for anything. After he exited the bathroom I locked the door and turned on the shower. It had two waterfall features and a bunch of side nozzles on the wall. I decided to turn them all on and let it massage into my back. I probably stayed in the shower way too long when I finally turned it off. I stepped out and dried off and wrapped a towel around my hair and sat it at the top of my head. I put on his robe and inhaled the scent. My wolf stirred and man, he smelled fantastic. I walked out to the bedroom and there was a note attached to my clothes.
"Annabelle,
My brother informs me that he has found his mate and only a few people know. Although he thinks this, speculation has been getting around the pack already since your arrival. I am so very excited to meet our future Luna, regardless if I am to give you your space. I am dreadfully sorry for what has happened to you, it will only make you a stronger wolf. I hope that we can become close friends. I also brought you a few different clothes options as well as make up. If you go into the vanity in his bathroom you should find everything you need for your hair.
-Lillian"
I smiled as I read the note. She was right, what happened to me, will only make me a stronger wolf. I just need to get myself mentally over everything that has happened. I knew it would take a bit of time, hopefully Ryker would understand. I changed into some lounging clothes and opened the door to his bedroom. Just like he said, he was waiting for me with a few snacks and a water. He kissed the top of my head "I'll be in my office with the two of them. If you need me call Asher. Keep my phone on you."
I took the phone back out of his hand "Thank you." I watched him walk down the hall and I shut and locked the door. I opened up a package of pretzels and sat down on the bed. Turned on some soft music and relaxed for the first time in a while. I finished the pretzels and scooted back into the bed and laid down. I fell into a light sleep, napping until a soft knock was at the door.
When I sat up in the bed I felt groggy, my brain felt foggy. I stood and stumbled to the door. I opened the door and my mother and father were on the other side with Ryker.
"My not so much anymore baby!" My mom shriked and wrapped me into a tight squeeze.
"Hey Anna banana, I am glad you're safe." He wrapped his arms around us both and we all stood there for a good long moment. I sighed happily and peeked out and seen Ryker standing there smiling at us all.
"Hey mom, dad. We have much to discuss. A lot has happened. Let's get you settled in a guest bedroom and we can chat over dinner and then if we still need planning, in Rykers office." I stepped back slightly and stood next to Ryker taking his hand into mine. "First things first, I would like to introduce you both to my Goddess given Mate, Ryker. Father I know you know him professionally, but now personally as well. Family." I smiled brightly up to my mate and he pulled me into his side and wrapped an arm around me.
My mother walked to us both and gave him a hug, "Welcome to our family, Ryker. Thank you for protecting her, even at a distance. We have a long way to go but we stand by you and your pack on this matter." He gave her a small hug back.
My father outstretched his hand to him to shake "I am dreadfully sorry for everything you've been subjected to. I am so very grateful you've taken care of my baby girl. I hope to make this right and look forward to helping you overthrow that spoiled a** face." He had anger behind his voice.
Ryker shook his hand "I want the best for Anna as well sir. I hope we can come to a conclusion for this matter to end swiftly."
"Well let's go get you guys settled in." I smiled at my parents and walked with Ryker to the guest rooms. "We will be down one level, in his office." We left them to settle in and walked to his office
