I walked up to the front of everyone. "My fellow pack members! Eight Rouge wolves have hit our border. I don't know the extent of the damage yet but our Alpha is on the way there to help handle the sutuation." I paused and looked around the room as all eyes were on me. I continued with the expectations of all the warriors and protectors.
I paced the stage as I talked explaining how things would also be going the next few days. I hated putting restrictions, but it was obviously needed. No single wolves running alone. Go in groups of 5, especially on a run. We were going to have a pack run on the next full moon but we will see if it calms down. Everyone seemed to not have a problem with our temporary rules. My packs safety was of my utmost importance. I would die before I let anything happen to them. I had our Cooks whip up a huge pack meal.
"We have a huge pack meal for tonight and everyone is more than welcome to join in. These are going to be, possibly a rough few days and we are here for each one of you." I smiled and waved to my pack as I exited the stage. I met with Anthony a Lead Warrior and my now body guard. "Anthony, will you accompany me to passing food out to our men who are posted at entrances? "Of course, Luna."
I smiled as we walked into the kitchen. I loaded up two huge carts of food. Oven roasted garlic chicken breast, rib eye steaks, loaded potatoes, asparagus, rolls. Desserts of carmel and fudge pie and banana pudding. A wolf would easily scarf this down and still be hungry in a few hours. We passed out food and everyone seemed grateful for the delivery of food. I couldn't wait to eat myself but I wanted to make sure everyone ate before I did.
We reached the last entrance, this one was the furthest entrance, straight into the woods. I was told this is where pack runs happen but with everything going on, we haven't had them for safety reasons. The hairs stood on the back of my neck, something felt off. Anthony opened the door and walked outside first, holding the door for me. I was backing the cart out to hand off when I seen blood by my foot. I gasped and that was when I was hit in the back of the head. I crashed forward and landed on top of the cart. I pushed off with a growl ripping through me, gripping the edge of the cart, lifting it and slamming it into a guy. He went flying into a tree. My eyes glazed over trying to open the link to Ryker, but he was to far away. I then pushed for Asher who was on his way to meet Ryker. "Asher, he-"
when something crashed into the back of my head again. I flew into Anthonys chest as he poked a needle into my neck. My eyes went dark and I went motionless in his arms.
I woke I don't know how much longer later feeling groggy and a splitting headache. I slowly tried sitting up and realized my hands and feet were bound tightly. I felt panic coming to surface and fought it back down. I looked around the room and it was almost dark as night. I felt the ground and it was cold, damp feeling, and dusty or dirt covered as if its never been cleaned. I laid my head back and I felt my neck still burning at the injection sight and my vessels felt like I had heat running through them. Wolfsbane, figures. I closed my eyes that felt like they were pulsing and let sleep pull me back.
I awoke again to a bright and nearly blinding light being shone in my face. I went to swat it away with a groan and I heard a laugh. "She will be fine, still groggy from the injection." a female voice spoke.
"Good because boss would kill us both if she didn't wake up." That voice sounded familiar to me but I couldn't make out his face.
They were walking back up the stairs and they turned on the light switch so I could finally see. In front of me was what appeared to be the food from my pack that we were pushing around. I licked my lips as my stomach growled. It smelled wonderful, but I knew it would be cold and they could have poisoned it.
I closed my eyes and tried to shift into my wolf but it was no use, Amethyst felt a million miles away and in a deep sleep. Without her and my rage I couldn't fight my way out. I laid down against the wall and rested my head on my arm and fell back asleep.
I woke and felt different, I tried to link but it was foggy and I tried shifting but she still felt too far away. I frowned and I heard a roaring laugh. "You should eat. Can't have little princess be starving herself. Boss wouldn't like that." I glared at him.
"Let me go!" I demanded pushing my Luna Aurora out and he boomed with laughter even more.
"Let you in on a secret, I am a rouge for hire. I generally kill people, but he doesn't want you dead. Your dominance doesn't affect me one bit." He stood and walked closer to me.
I pushed back against the wall as he sat down in front of me. His hand came up and moved my hair out of my face. "You're beautiful, no wonder he's going through all this trouble." He paused and moved his finger over my mark. It made my stomach turn. "Hes going to have to kill your mate and then mark you again."
My eyes widened and my heart dropped. I don't want anything happening to my mate! I sent a warning growl to this unknown man and he laughed.
"Fiesta are we? Just how I like 'em!" He pulled me away from the wall and ran his tongue across my mark and up my neck to my ear "I may just have to indulge in you myself. You taste awfully sweet." his teeth nipped my ear, suckling it into his mouth and I tried pulling away from him.
He laughed and let me go as he stood and walked over to a small table grabbing food and taking a bite. He sat back down and began feeding it to me. "Eat or I will force it down your throat. You choose, easy or hard way."
I chewed slowly and watched his movements carefully. This man disgusted me. If I couldn't link Ryker or anyone from our pack I don't know what will happen to me. I shook that thought from my head. I can not think that way, I can not break. I need to use the restroom. I looked at him and he nodded and stood.
"Very well, no funny business." He unbound my hands and feet and pulled me up the stairs and to the bathroom. He practically shoved me in there "I will be waiting outside the door for you." He closed the door.
I stood there for a moment and noticed I had dried blood on the right side of my neck. I frowned and sat on the toilet and used the restroom. If he didn't hear me going he would bust in here. I focused as hard as I could and closed my eyes. I could open up my link to my pack and I smiled to myself "Hello? Can anyone hear me?"
I stopped to listen but nothing. I tried again
"Hello? Can anyone hear me, it's me Luna Annabelle."
Nothing. Which means I am too far away from my pack to communicate with them. I stood and knew I would have to keep trying. I washed my hands and opened the door and we walked back down into the gloomy basement. He bound my wrists and only one leg this time. "Stay quiet like a good girl or I will give you another injection."
I nodded as he turned back and walked up the stairs. He must not realize being a Luna or Alpha we burn wolfsbane faster than a normal wolf. His mistake. I still couldn't risk shifting though, I counted 10 rouges here to keep watch over me on my bathroom trip. I knew I was strong but I didn't think I was strong enough for ten plus rouges. This was a complete disaster. Help better come soon.
