I pushed the last three boxes into our temporary bedroom. I looked out the window and the sun was already setting. I walked out of the bedroom to Rykers office, peeking inside the crack of the door. He had paperwork stacked on his desk and he was hard at work. I smiled and walked down to the kitchen and talked to the cook.
We discussed dinner for Ryker and myself and had it to be delivered into his study.
"Just ring my cell when its ready Abigail and I will help bring it up." I smiled.
She nodded her head as she began cooking "Will do Luna. It should be about an hour or so."
I walked back to our room and started unpacking the boxes. I put clothes in their perspective areas and organized the closet. I looked around the room once I finished and then checked my watch.
"Hmmm.. I wonder." I said out loud and to no one in particular.
I walked down the hall and looked inside some of the spacious bedrooms. I checked several and ran up to the next floor where all of our offices were located. I pulled some papers out of a file "Orphans of Green Woodland." I smiled and sat down and opened it. It was thick, we had so many children who didn't have families from wars and surprise attacks. We were a large pack with a large packhouse where the orphaned children lived. I pulled out a map of the house and studied it. We had five floors, four wings and two huge recreational and play areas for basketball, bowling, wall ball, weight room, indoor pool, and many other things and activities for children and adults.
I called the construction company that would be redecorating our room and asked them to put the renovation on hold.
"Ma'am we can't guarantee that we can fit you in." he said halfway annoyed.
"I do understand that this means you don't want to make more money, you can keep the deposit and we will be going for another company." I spoke flatly.
"Wait now, hold on, we may be able to work something out." He sounded different, probably because more money was mentioned.
"No thank you. Keep the $450 deposit and have a nice day." I hit the end call button and my text dinged. It was Abigail. Shoot! I rushed and gathered all the papers and hurried to my husband's office. I tossed the notebook on the table as he looked up confused. "Be right back love you." I rushed out. Abigail and another young lady was getting off at the elevator and I sighed "Oh Ms. Abigail thank you so much. I caught up in some big business plans that may change the way of life for some people." I took one of the trays the younger girl was carrying.
"Thank you so much Luna." She kept her head lowered.
"It looked as heavy as it feels. You had your hands full there. What's your name?" I smiled down to her.
"Tina." She kept her head down still and spoke at nearly a whisper.
"Well Ms. Tina I think you should go have some fun after you finish here. Sound good Abigail? You should as well." We walked into Rykers office, his head lifted and I could see he was inhaling the delicious smells of dinner. He hurried, walking over to a small table in the room, and moved papers off. We set the trays of food down and the pair of ladies left his office.
He wrapped his arms around me and I hugged him tightly in return. We stood for a good long while before parting, and sitting down at the table.
"I have something I would like to discuss with you. It's big and I feel very important." I took a bite of the hamburger steak and watched him.
"Of course, what is it love?"
"Well I was thinking about how over runned the orphan wing is in the house." I paused and tried to find the right way to put it.
"It is pretty crowded. I'm worried too crowded honetly." He was chewing a big bite of food.
I smiled "Exactly and with these surprise attacks from Rouge hitting or Northern border I'm afraid we may have more."
He nodded at that and took a swig of his drink "Agreed. So what are you thinking of doing, love?"
"Well I found a plot of land that we could build out dream home on. And turning half the pack house into an orphanage. Have our floor be for the Beta and his family, and the beta floor for the Gamma. That way the gamma house can hold our guests. This can still be for our offices and we can even build a huge home office that is linked here at our home." I watched him carefully.
He paused, sitting his fork down, and was contemplating what I said. He held his hand out and I shoved a few plans that I quickly drew up into his hand. He stood and walked over to his desk. I picked my fork up and started eating again. I continued to watch him rummage through his files. He walked back over and handed me a folder. I opened it and smiled at what I saw.
It was a folder of an expansion for the orphanage. "Oh Ryker, how do you find time to draw up plans like this?" I peered over the top as he was eating again.
"Love, I know how much that meant to you, the day I watched you with that little girl I knew timlitnwoukd be something we would tackle together soon." he sat back in his seat.
His plans were similar to mine and what I was missing he had and vice versa. I was so excited I could hardly wait to get started. We needed to have our home built first. Doing this would give us ample time to draw up renovation plans for the children.
I sat the folder down in my chair and walked over to him. I looked down at him and lowered myself into his lap. I straddled him and wrapped my arms around his neck. I kissed him softly on the lips. His arms wrapped around me and cupped underneath me, his hands moving into my back pockets.
He was so addicting, I felt as if I couldn't get enough of him. His lips moved roughly against my own and I knew he felt the same. Just then Asher busted through the door without warning.
"Sorry Alpha, Luna." He apologized nervously. We could generally hear when people were outside our doors, we were both completely distracted by one another.
"Whats going on Asher?" Trying to recover from the startle he gave me. I felt my heart racing, it must be important.
"Yes whats wrong?" Ryker asked right after me as he looked between us both.
"Rouge, about 10 of them attacked the South Eastern border!" Asher spoke quickly anger seething. "I've already sent warriors in but I'm not sure if any Rouge sneaked past. I was on my way when one of the men linked and rushed here."
"Mother f****r." Ryker boomed. He helped me out of his lap.
"Asher, have the house on lock down. I want three guards at every stairwell entrance Two at the bottom one up top. I want several roaming the halls for protection, especially in the children area." I smoothed my shirt out and headed for the door with him.
"Asher, get her four body guards, this is not how a rouge behaves, in a pack. Its him. Its Grant behind it. Anna, I have to go. Link me if something happens I'll be here quickly." He left me with a kiss.
I watched him take off in a sprint and we hurried to the opposite side of the house. We had what some would call a staff meeting. I linked every person in the house and the warriors who weren't pulled. "If you're hearing this you are required to be in the great hall in five minutes. This is a mandatory emergency meeting." I walked into the room a after giving the staff in the orphanage a quick run down. It was already packed full of wolves talking amongst theirselves. I heard talk of the rouge attacks at our border, some panicked.
