{Levi’s POV}

Ashlyn’s heat cycles are strong, probably because she is an alpha. Her eyes filled with lust were piercing my very core, making leaving impossible, but I had to. Staying would only cause more issues, she’s new to this world, and she doesn’t understand that my wolf wants her, to claim her, mate her, and mark her right here. I’ve been fighting all day to keep Apex at bay. He wants out, he wants her. He keeps pacing in my head waiting for her heat cycle to start back up.

“Please don’t go..” she stutters out once again. Her hands on my stomach, she’s shaking, and panting heavily. Suddenly I feel wetness on my back.

I turn to face her gripping her chin lightly and lifting her face up to meet mine. She’s crying, tears were pouring down her face. She looks so scared, so innocent. “I’m afraid my wolf may take advantage of you.” I say softly looking into her big green eyes. “He wants you, I want you. You’re our mate, we need to be with you.” I say looking at her. “I can’t let that happen knowing that you’re uncomfortable with all of this.”

Her bottom lip trembled as more tears poured down her cheeks.” Please stay. I want you to stay.” She said looking into my eyes, the world felt as though it stood still, her eyes peering into mine felt right, and completed me. “Rin wants you to stay too.” She said looking into my eyes even deeper when a flash of black crackled through her eyes, her wolf trying to come forward.

Apex pranced about in my head, he wanted to to stay, he wanted our mates. “They want us here Levi, just stay with them, we can protect them, we can make sure they take their medicine and that they don’t go through too much pain.” Apex chimed in my head. “Please Levi.”

“Levi..” her sweet voice reached my ears as though it was the only sound I ever needed to hear again.

I sighed giving in to all of the voices begging me to stay. “Alright princess, but let’s get you back in bed.” I said lifting Ashlyn into my arms and packing her back to her bed. Her frame was so tiny, I’ve never seen someone so small. She laid her head against my chest, and my body stiffened as a response. I laid her down, and covered her back up, then decided to sit down beside her.

“Lay with me?” She asked in a pleading tone. She is going to be the death of me, I slid down beside her, and made sure to keep some distance between us under the covers. She slowly moved closer before wrapping my arm in both of hers, and nodding off to sleep.

“What am I going to do now?” I thought to myself. This is torture, laying with my mate but not being able to touch her or hold her the way I want. I sighed and slowly, but surely began to fall asleep, finally giving into my exhaustion.

I woke up to extreme heat on my lower body. It felt like I was on fire, then I felt it, the feeling of lips on my d***. “Sh**! Ashlyn stop! You don’t want to do this! It’s just your heat! You need to take your medicine!” I looked down under the covers as she took me fully into her mouth making me moan. My whole body shivered, it felt amazing, but I knew I needed her to stop. Apex was growling and trying to get out, I knew if he came out that it would only be a matter of time before he took over and tried to take her. I don’t think she would put up a fight with the way she was sucking me right now, but I knew that she would regret it later. My eyes were closed for what felt like forever and I only opened them when I felt something on my that I knew shouldn’t be there. She had gotten up and positioned herself with my d*** at her entrance and was attempting to slide down onto me. I quickly pushed her back knocking her down over the edge of the bed. I was barely in control anymore, seeing her like that over me made Apex come to the surface. I quickly grabbed the pills and jumped down on top of her popping one in her mouth, I held her mouth closed until I was sure she swallowed it, then I finally let go, which was a mistake. She jumped on top of me grinding her hips into mine, coating me with her c** that was dripping out of her. I pulled her tight against my body so that way she couldn’t move.

Apex was trying so hard to get out, to mark and mate her, sensing what she needed. My breathing along with hers was erratic, and it took all of my strength to hold her down against me until I heard her voice. “Levi, I’m sorry, I don’t know what came over me.” She said obvious anxiety in her voice.

“I know, I know Ashlyn. It’s okay, it’s your heat, it makes you like that. You run on animal instinct. I think you should have Laura stay here with you instead of me.” I said letting her go and standing up.

She realized she wasn’t wearing her underwear or shorts and quickly covered herself with her oversized t-shirt. “I-I know I’m asking a lot from you, but you make me feel safe. And at least if something did happen then it would be with you. From what I heard yesterday it draws in other males, not just my mate.” She said looking down.

Finally it clicked in my head, she is afraid of someone else taking advantage of her, but not of me. She trusted me, and I almost just let her do what she wanted to do with me. I was enjoying myself so I didn’t even think about how it would effect her until she was about to actually do it with me. “Ashlyn, you don’t understand how hard it is to control myself and Apex, when you’re like that your body calls for us to mate and mark you. I can’t keep controlling myself the way I have been. I almost took you, right then and there.” I said looking anywhere but at her.

“Then, don’t hold back.” She said causing my eyes to widen in shock. She looked up at him her big round eyes full of lust. She just took the medicine though, she should be okay. What nonsense was she speaking?

“What do you mean Ashlyn. I don’t want to take advantage of you.” Just then she pulled my head down to meet hers and kissed me. As if she was starving and I was her only source of nutrition. I needed her, more than either one of us wanted to admit we needed each other.
