After we have done with our shopping, Annabeth said about the party this night. Sure, she has parties every weekend. "I asked my boyfriend, he will be coming over," I spoke. Not forgetting about my precious boyfriend. His name is Hank Smythe. We met when we were at University in Miami. He also the son of my father’s best friend. That's what I heard.
"Okay. Are you coming, Rachel?" asked Annabeth, scrolling on her phone through her social media.
"I can't, I have a date with someone--"
"Someone? Since when you do have 'someone'?" I asked as I confused. She never dates anyone this recently. Rachel already blushed with her sheepish smile then walked away from us.
"That's weird." Said Annabeth. I just smirked and turn to her. "We'll figure out. Come on, Annie boo, let's go to our spa. Rlynn, bring us there." I asked.
"It’s Flint, Ma'am."
"Whatever. Come on, we have a mission this night." I laughed.
Until midnight, I already dressed up for the party and walked down to the foyer. "Lynn! Eh. Flint! Flint! Where the hell this dumber?" I look around and saw my servant walked by. "Hey! have you seen my bodyguard?" I asked, approaching him.
"Which one? Miss Delaire?"
"Do I have six bodyguards around me? The one that brown-haired, wearing a tuxedo and the dumbest in the world!" I spat. "Oh, that guy. I just saw him talked to your father." He answered carefully.
"Where?"
"At the backyard," he pointed outside of the foyer as I went outside to see my father was standing and looking up the stars. I guess... "Papa! Have you seen my bodyguard?" I spoke as Papa turn to me with a wrinkled smile.
"Ellise, my dear. You look nice with that dress just like your mother."
I groan, roll my eyes off. "Papa, Stop it. I'm asking you, where's Flint?" Papa clicked his tongue as he looked away. "He just left. Urgent," My father glanced at me and look up again. "Damn. I'm late to the party! How come, he just left?!" I mumbled to myself.
I heard Papa huffed, "And you always have fun. Why don’t you just work with me? Who else wants to take care of my company, our company? Someday? --"
I cut off, “Papa, we've talked about this. I didn't want to." I glared, walking away from him. Probably, Papa will be said something to me. He would never stop asking me about 'When you will start working with me?' Like that. I gave up with those and I'm still young for this! And this dumb bodyguard. I told him to pick up me to Annabeth's party. That i***t. Now, I had to ask another driver to the party just because I don't have my driving license.
Not for a while, finally, I reached Annabeth's party. I went inside, searching for her now. There already many people are in this party and mostly, a lot of good-looking guys at this party. I have called Hank to come over the party. He said he will probably be late because of the work and surely, he invited Christoff to the party. That's what Annalise said.
As I pushed dancing people around me until I saw Annabeth talked with someone on the fancy couch. Obviously, it was a handsome guy. "Annie boo!" I greeted, as they waved at me. “Hey, you made it,” She cheered out loud because of the music too loud for talking.
"Yeah! my bodyguard is an i***t! He just left me! Didn't pick me up!" I shout back.
"That's an i***t!" She exclaimed as she slides her legs on that guy’s lap. "I know! Can we talk outside?!" I just grabbed her arm to get away the loud noises before Annabeth waved back that handsome guy. When I lead Annabeth to the garden, I turn to her, "We need to find Rachel."
"What for? Don't we were having fun?"
"Don't you feel weird? Rachel always told us who asked her out or about the new guy." I explained. Annabeth sighed, "Maybe she hasn’t told us yet."
"We need to figure this out," I said, I need to know. I felt uneasy about it. "Well, fine. Can we do this after the party? Please? I’m sure they will still be around," Annabeth asked with her puppy eyes. I can't miss the party, so I just nodded in agreement as we went inside. Then, I saw Harris and Christoff waved at us. "Baby, you came!" I ran into Hank and gave him a quick kiss. "Yeah, darling. Why I wouldn't?" Hank just smiled and kissed me hard on my lips. I heard Annabeth cleared her throats. I pulled away, giggling as I introduce her to Christoff.
