Casey’s P.O.V
A week has gone by since I found the photos, address and phone number, but I still haven’t made up my mind about calling or going to their house yet. I was really nervous, not to mention terrified about what would happen if they turned me away or if they didn’t live there anymore. What if she didn’t remember who I was? I had even asked Officer Rick to see what he could find out and seeing as he and his family were now members of our pack it was easier for me to talk to him straight away and show him what I found, but he found the same stuff as me. It was a hard thing to think about all the possible things that could go right and all the possible things that could go wrong, but I had to think and think hard of each and every scenario to prepare myself. I was currently sitting under my favourite oak tree, thinking about everything. I would sit under this tree because the dragonflies would fly around me and sometimes land on my knees. I would watch the butterflies fly by and the rabbits hopping back into the woods. I was watching a beautiful butterfly fluttering around the grass near my feet, when Ryan came and sat next to me. Placing his hand on my knee.
“So, what are you thinking about under this old boy right here?” Ryan asked, making me smile wide at him. He always called this tree old boy and I loved it.
“I’m thinking that I need to get up and go shower, then head over to Sophia’s house. If they don’t live there anymore then at least I know I tried.” I replied, making my decision and Ryan nodded.
“I’ve been wondering when you were going to decide. Are you sure you want to do this?” Ryan asked as we stood up and started walking to the pack house.
“In all honesty I’m not sure, but if I don’t do this now then I’m never going to do it and besides, they might not still be living there. At least I can go and see, if they do still live there then who's to say that she will remember me. Hell, she might not want to even see me, but it's worth a shot.” I replied, as we walked hand in hand into the pack house and to our room. Ryan went into the bathroom, while I searched through my closet, trying to find something to wear that would make a good impression. I walked into the bathroom and got into the shower with Ryan, washing each other and then turning the water off, getting out and drying each other off.
“Honey, it's been years, just think positive, okay. She will be happy to see you, but you will never know until you go and find out.” Ryan said, turning to look at me as we got dressed. I knew he was right, but it still didn’t ease the butterflies in my stomach. Ryan and I left our bedroom and bumped right into Terry and Katherine.
“Where are you going in such a rush?” Katherine asked and I suddenly realised that she had no idea about anything I found about my sister and all that because she was at another pack for the past week and a half. I began to fill her in on everything that had happened, everything that I found and what I knew, right down to where my sister lived and how long it took me to decide.
“Wow, that's a lot to take in. we’re coming with you, we should also take at least two guards with us, just in case.” Katherine replied and I nodded. Of all the scenarios I had come up with I never thought to take guards with me in case anything happened.
“Guss, Ricky, can you come with us to another territory please? Meet us out front of the pack house.” I said, mind-linking them.
“Yes Luna.” They both replied, mind-linking me back and I ended the link. I had asked everyone not to call me Luna because it didn’t feel right as Kacey was still the Luna and I was only the future Luna, but they said it would be disrespectful if they didn’t so I didn’t bother to argue.
“Okay, Guss and Ricky will meet us outside.” I said and they all nodded. We walked downstairs and left the pack house, meeting Guss and Ricky at the car waiting for us. We got in the car, driving off the territory and an hour later pulled up to a gate and a guard came forward.
“Who are you here to see? Are they expecting you?” The guard said, making me feel even more nervous.
“I’m….I’m here to see Sophia, she doesnt know because I’m not sure if she remembers me, but please don’t turn us away. Do they still live here?” I replied, looking at the bulky, six foot man.
“Yes, they still live here, this is their territory.” The man said and nodded to the other guards.
Jasper’s P.O.V
“Alpha, there is a girl here, she wants to see Sophia.” I said, mind-linking him.
“Thank you, Jasper. Let them through.” Alpha Mark replied.
“Yes, Alpha.” I said and ended the link. I nodded to the other guards and told them to open the gates.
“The Alpha will be waiting for you at the front of the pack house.” I said and the girl nodded.
“Thank you.” She replied and then turned next to the man sitting next to her.
“Alright, let's do this.” The girl said, taking a deep breath as they drove through the gates.
Sophia’s P.O.V
I was in my room studying for a math test tomorrow when I heard a knock at my door. I already knew it was mom, so I called out to her to come in. She opened the door and I turned to look at her, but she had a weird look on her face and I quickly sat, hurrying to get to her.
“What is it, mom? Is everything okay?” I asked, worried.
“Yes, of course, but you need to get ready. She’s here.” My mom said, but she sounded emotionless when she spoke.
“She’s here? Who’s here?” I asked, confused. My mom was acting really weird and it was worrying me.
“Casey is here, Honey.” My mom replied and my eyes went wide.
“Oh shit.” I said, surprised. She’s here, she’s actually here, on my territory. Wow, she found me, she came to find me. Does this mean she remembers me?
