Sophia’s P.O.V
I really wasn’t sure what happened or how I did it, but the feeling I felt after it happened died down. I wasn’t sure how I was going to create ice, but what the heck, why not try to do the same as last time, I thought. I focused hard on the remaining debris of the stump that was still on fire and instead of feeling like I needed to speak, I felt like I needed to think. I thought of ice, what it looked like, how it felt and the next thing I knew the burned up stump was forming into ice. I looked on in shock as the fire was almost completely out and then there was none left. The stump was now covered in a layer of blue and white ice, there was also ice all over the ground, putting out any remaining flames. I turned back to see that I wasn’t the only one that was shocked, they all were and then everyone started clapping for me. My father looked at me with pride and it made me feel proud of myself and what I had accomplished. My father turned to face Casey and as soon as he did that a look of pure terror came across her face.
“Casey, honey, it's going to be okay. We are here and nothing is going to happen to you, I promise. Let's just try wind first, that shouldn’t be any danger.” My dad said and she slowly nodded.

“How did you do it?” I asked, wondering what she did to get in the right mindset.
“In all honesty I don’t know how to explain it. I focused on the stump and then this weird feeling came over me, so I just went with it. The first time I felt the need to speak and so I repeated the word fire, then it happened, but the next time I didn’t feel the urge to speak, I felt the urge to think and so I did. I imagined the ice and then it happened. I don’t know if it will work the same way with you, but if you feel something then just go with it and see what happens.” Sophia replied, making me understand a little better. I nodded and took a deep breath, hoping this went well and I didn’t end up drowning someone or all of us. Okay, this is it, I’ll make it windy that way no one can die or be hurt by that. If I have this power then let's see if I can make a slight breeze. I closed my eyes and thought about wind, but then I felt this weird feeling in the pit of my stomach, so I did as Sophia suggested and went with it. I opened my eyes and everything around me looked glassy, letting me know that my eyes had glazed over. I looked up to the sky and saw that the clouds were turning darker, then it started to sprinkle and then it started to rain. I kept going as it started to pour down, soaking everyone in the process and then I felt the winds pick up, almost like a storm was coming, but I was the one controlling it.
“Okay Casey, you did an awesome job.” Alpha Mark said, making my eyes return to normal, the wind died down and the rain stopped. I laughed when I saw everyone wringing the excess water out of their clothes and shaking their heads to get the water off their hair. The sky returned to its normal sunny blue and you couldn't even tell that it had been raining unless you looked at the territory, which was almost flooded.
“Alright, let's see what else you can do. The other power you are meant to have is earth, so try getting mad and see what you can do to the ground right here.” Alpha Mark said and I nodded. Think of something that made me mad, think of something that made me mad, I thought to myself, repeating the words over and over again, trying to think of the one thing that I had pushed away, the one thing that hurt the most and the one thing I never wanted to go through again. My parents. I thought about how I lost them, the way I came home to a house surrounded by cops and the way I ran into the house, finding them dead on the floor and covered in blood. I felt myself getting angrier and angrier, my hands balled up into fists and then I felt it. The overwhelming urge to punch something so hard that I would break it, so I did. I punched the ground as hard as I could and it split in half, everything started shaking, like an earthquake was happening, but all I felt was anger.
“Casey, honey, calm down. Take a deep breath and calm down. Come back to us, honey, you can do this, Casey.” Alpha Mark said, trying to calm me down, but it wasn’t working and I still felt the anger building up inside me. Ryan grabbed me and held me in his arms.
“I love you, Casey. Please come back to me. You're okay, you're safe now.” Ryan whispered and my eyes slowly turned back to normal. The ground closed back up and my tears started flowing freely.
“It's okay, Casey, it's okay. What did you think about, baby? What made you so angry?” Ryan asked, concerned.
“My parents.” I whispered and when he heard that he held me tighter. It's okay, Casey. I promise it's okay.” Ryan said, trying to comfort me.
“I know, Ryan. Alpha Mark told me to get angry and the only thing I could think of was my parents and how they died. I’m okay, I promise.” I replied and heard as Alpha Mark sighed.
“Okay, you both did a great job, but let's call it a day. When you get home you will need to train on your powers, but you will need to go somewhere no one else will see what you're doing. You need to keep training as we don’t know when these power seekers are going to strike, so we all need to be ready and be careful.” Alpha Mark said and we all nodded.

“Dad, Ryan and Guss asked how you knew this and you told them to trust you, but I know you better than that, so who do you have spying on them for us?” Sophia asked and I smirked.
“The one and only….” I started to say, but Sophia started laughing, which cut me off.
“Bask, it's Bask isn’t it? That girl lives for danger.” Sophia asked and I nodded.
“Well, you know I trained her well.” I replied and she nodded.
“Yeah, I know, but before you trained her she already knew what to do, she just needed help on the not getting caught part. Now she’s doing better, but she needs to be careful.” Sophia said, shaking her head.
“Don’t worry, Sophia. She’s being careful and she keeps me updated when she can. She told me they tried to make wolfsbane and tested it on her, it didn’t work, but she played the part and they believed her. She’s keeping an eye on them for us.” I replied, reassuring her.
“Just let her know that I said to be careful.” Sophia said and I chuckled softly.
“I’ll let her know.” I replied and she nodded. We all walked back up to the pack house and while the others went to their room to start packing their things I went to my office to check on any work I had missed. After thirty minutes I had finished most of the minor things and left my office, just in time to see Sophia and the others before they left.
“It's your turn to come visit next, dad, but make sure Jessica comes with you, never leave her out.” Sophia said, hugging me.
“I’ll be there in the next few weeks and I promise I will never leave her out. She will know everything that is going on and she will be a part of everything.” I replied and she nodded. We all hugged each other and said our goodbyes before they got into their SUV and drove out of the territory, heading back home.
“How do you think they are going to do with training? How did they even get those powers in the first place? How long do you think they had them for?” Jessica asked and I shook my head.
“I honestly don’t know, they aren’t blood related, but from what I know they were really close growing up. All I know is that I love her and I want to keep her safe, but in order to do that she and Casey need to learn how to use their powers and while they do that I will do a little investigating to see what I can find.” I replied and she nodded. Jessica was just about to turn and go back into the pack house when I stopped her and wiggled my eyebrows at her, making her laugh.
“How about we continue what we were doing the other night?” I asked and she giggled.
“Only if you can catch me.” Jessica said, smirking and took off running into the pack house. I ran after her, catching her as she reached the top of the stairs and picked her up, throwing her over my shoulder. Both of us laughed all the way to our room, as she slapped my butt with every step I took.
