Ryan’s P.O.V
When we got home I went straight to my dad's office, while the others went to their rooms to unpack and rest. I needed to tell him everything that had happened while we were at Alpha Mark’s territory and what we discovered. I knocked on the door and waited for my dad to reply.
“Come in, Ryan.” My dad said and I opened the door, walking inside and closing it behind me.
“Dad, we need to talk.” I said, sitting in the chair in front of his desk. My dad immediately stopped what he was doing and focused all his attention on me, gesturing for me to continue.
“Alpha Mark told us about the power seekers.” I said and my dad's eyes widened.
“What do you mean power seekers? What do they want and who are they after?” My dad asked and I took a deep breath.
“Dad, they are after Casey and Sophia, they both have powers. Casey has the powers of wind and earth, Sophia has the powers of fire and ice. We know because we saw them use those powers today. Sophia’s mother told her about them having powers and Alpha Mark was there when she told her, so he had them train a little today to see if it was true. Sophia made a stump explode and catch fire, then she froze it. Casey was meant to make it windy and she turned the sky really dark, but then it rained as well, so I think she can control water as well, then Alpha Mark told her to get angry to activate her next power and she thought about her parents, which caused her to split the ground in half. They were both a little worn out after it, so they have gone to rest up.” I replied and my dad got out of his chair.
“I’m going to mind-link your mother to come here.” My dad said and I watched as his eyes glazed over. After a few seconds his eyes returned to normal and no more than a minute went by before my mom came bursting in though the office door.
“What's going on? What's wrong? Is everything okay, Ryan?” My mom asked, worried.
“No mom, we have power seekers coming after Casey and Sophia.” I replied and her eyes went wide with fright.
“Oh no, goddess no. These things will want their blood. We can't let them near the girls, Ron, we need to keep them safe from these nasty things.” My mom said, panicked.
“I know, Kacey, I know, don’t worry. They will train in a place where no one can see them. They need to be ready.” My dad said, hugging my mom and trying to comfort her. My dad picked up his phone and dialled a number before putting it on loud speaker. After a few rings the phone was answered.
“Hello Alpha Ron, it's a nice surprise to hear from you.” Alpha Mark said, sounding the same as when we left him.
“Yes, yes, same to you. Listen Ryan told us about the power seekers and I need to ask you a favour please. When can you and your pack get here? We have plenty of room and I know that together we can protect the girls with our lives. What do you say, two packs are better protection than one.” My dad replied and he was right.
“We can be there within a few hours. I’ll link my whole pack and tell them that we are combining our packs until the threat is over.” Alpha Mark said and I felt a little relieved.
“Very well, we will see you in a few hours. We’ll have your rooms and the cabins ready for when you get here. Thank you.” My dad said and ended the call.
“Okay Ryan, we have a lot to do and only a few hours to get it done. We need to get the empty rooms and the cabins ready for the merge, we also have to make sure that we have a place for the girls to train so that no one will be able to see them using their powers.” My dad said and both my mom and I nodded.
Jessica’s P.O.V
After Mark hung up from his phone call he turned and looked back at me, making me wonder what was going on.
“Are you ready to go back home? We are merging packs until the threat is over.” Mark said and I looked at him confused. I am home and I love it here. I have my mate and the pack is finally being taken care of just like how it should have been, even the cells are cleaned and there are more gardens planted. No one has any problems that they can’t come and talk to me or Mark about, unlike how Bonnie treated them. She made them feel like they couldn’t talk to her or Mark and he had no idea about it until after she was put in the cells and rejected as the packs Luna. I don’t think Mark fully understood how I felt about this place and about him.
“Mark, I am home. This is my home and I love it here, but yes, we can go back there and stay until the threat is over. I would like to see my parents and see how they are doing, maybe we can even move them here, if that's okay with you?” I asked, but then he shook his head.
“You are my mate, my Luna, my equal in everything. You don’t have to ask me for permission and if you feel like you want to double check with me then I agree, I don't have a problem with it at all.” Mark replied and I nodded, kissing his cheek. I thought he was going to refuse to let my parents come here or that he didn’t like the idea, but when he said that I literally melted at his words.
“Now, let's link the pack and get them started on packing up what they all need.” Mark said and I nodded. I watched as his eyes glazed over and heard as he connected to every member of the pack, including me.
“To my pack members, my family, we are merging packs with the Red Moon pack, as there is a great threat coming for my daughter Sophia and her sister Casey. Pack as much as you will be needing, all of us are going, no one is going to be left behind. I will give you thirty minutes and I’ll meet everyone outside.” Mark said, mind-linking everyone, but he didn’t give anyone time to reply before he ended the link. He and I went to our bedroom and began packing everything up that we would need and thirty minutes later we were standing outside with the rest of the pack. Everything was loaded into the cars and then they stood next to them, waiting for their Alpha to speak.
“Alright, let's get into the cars and all of you follow me. Yes, I know this will be a strange sight to see while driving, but do not worry. Let's get going.” Mark announced to the pack and they all nodded. Everyone got into their cars and we drove off the territory, starting the hour drive to get to Red Moon pack, but I had a feeling it would take longer with how many there were of us.
