Alias, Adonis and I stood outside of the club that Natalie was supposed to be at. A chuckle escaped my brother's lips and I glanced at him.
"This the kind of girl you want, right?" Alias laughed.
"I remember you went through the same thing with Jesslyn." I reminded him. "Who was it with again.... Marcellus? Markus? Man, I can't remember."
Alias moved closer to me. I knew I hit a nerve when I said that, but I wasn't going to let him finish that off. Adonis laughed as he stepped between Alias and me.
"Let's go." Adonis separated us. "Ayden, are you sure she's here?"
"Yeah, I'm sure of it."
"Yeah, right." Alias snorted.
Alias walked ahead and went inside of the club. I shook my head and glanced at Adonis. Adonis shrugged with a smile on his face.
"He's a f*****g asshole." I grunted.
"He's also your older brother." Adonis stated.
Adonis patted me on the shoulder and walked towards the club's entrance. I rolled my eyes before I followed behind him. As soon as Adonis opened the door, the music blasted its way past us. We stepped inside a neonpunk themed club. Bright colors, go-go dancers on the stage, a banging DJ bumpin' the latest hits. The club was packed with a lot of mortals and vampires together. I looked around until I saw Alias at the bar, drinking two shots. Sighing, I walked over to him and nudged him.
"Don't start, little brother." He told me. "You go look for your girl. I'll be here."
"I helped you with your situation." I told him. "You can't help me, though?"
Alias slammed his glass on the bar counter and glanced at me. The both of us stared at each other for a hot minute. However, I did win this round.
"You need to use your senses, brother." Alias told me. "I smelled her as soon as I walked in. She's over there in the back, sitting next to that f*****g bonehead guy she left you for."
"She didn't leave me for him."
"Look closely."
I looked around until I saw Natalie sitting in the booth with Dylan and the unfamiliar dude I saw earlier. I leaned against the bar counter and decided to listen in on the conversation.
"So, is he your boyfriend or something?" The guy asked.
"Yeah, he is, but there are times where I wished he'd just leave me alone."
What the hell?
"You want me to get rid of him for you? He seems like a stalker."
"He's not, but thank you. I can handle him, myself."
"So, is there a way I could shoot my shot with you? I'm sure I can do better than what he's doing."
Yeah, right...
"Now, the question is.... What are you going to do?"
I glanced at Alias and he put the straw in his mouth, smirking and chuckling at the same time. Normally, I wasn't a fighter. I was more of a lover. However, once it came to her, I would do anything to keep her by my side, but... I didn't want her to think I was indeed the stalker they talked about. So, instead of walking over there, I stayed where I was, which was at the bar counter, watching them from a distance.
Alias took his last shot and sighed.
"Fine, let's go." He got up and grabbed me by the tie.
"Dude, what the hell?" I snatched away from him.
"Let's go."
Alias and I walked through the crowd, making our way over to the booth. We made it to the booth and Alias tapped on the table, getting Natalie, Dylan and the other guy's attention. Natalie looked from Alias to me with a confused look on her face.
"Ayden, what are you doing here?" She asked me.
"Let's go." Alias told her. "I don't have all day."
"I'm not leaving."
"Why are you making it complicated?" I asked her.
Natalie stayed in her seat. Alias glanced at me before he shook his head in disgust.
"Natalie, I'm not going to tell you again." Alias warned her. "Get up and let's go."
"I'm in a meeting with someone." Natalie argued. "I'm not about to leave this."
"Either you leave now or we'll carry you out. Which one do you want?"
Natalie rolled her eyes and tapped the unfamiliar guy beside her. He got up and Natalie got up as well, then she stormed away from the table. Alias walked off and I stayed behind. I looked from Dylan to the other guy and was ready to leave as well.
"So, what? You think you can just come in here and pull her away?"
I stopped and glanced back at the guy. Dylan got up and stood in between us.
"Ayden, you can leave." Dylan told me. "Tell Natalie to call me when she gets home, okay?"
I didn't say anything. My eyes was glued to the asshole behind him. It was clear he didn't know me, otherwise he wouldn't have said anything to me.
"You must be the asshole she was talking about." He added. "The stalker, I presume?"
"What about it?" I asked him.
"You think you're going to keep her that way?"
"I already have her."
The guy chuckled.
"Sure you do. Pretty soon, she's going to leave you and find someone else better."
I moved closer and Dylan stayed where he was.
"Ayden, just go." Dylan pleaded. "We're not trying to get kicked out of here."
I backed away and turned to walk off. Adonis rushed over to me and put his arm around my shoulder.
"I'm happy you didn't start anything with him." Adonis sighed. "It would've gotten ugly."
Adonis and I pushed through the club exit and I could see Alias and Natalie by the car, arguing. I could feel their anger as Adonis and I moved towards them.
"I don't f*****g care!" Natalie shouted. "I had one f*****g meeting and I couldn't do that because you and your f*****g brother had to come and mess it up!"
Adonis released me and I walked over to the feuding two. Natalie snapped her eyes at me, ready to go off.
"She feels you ruined her job opportunity." Alias chuckled.
"Yeah, well your manager was a bit of an asshole." I told her.
"He was going to be my partner in modeling."
I raised an eyebrow at her. She lost her mind if she thought she was going to work with him. Hell, just being around him, I sensed of his perversion.
"Is this because I told you no about modeling for that guy?" I asked her. "Is that why you went with him?"
"I don't owe you an explanation." Natalie turned her back to me.
Alias chuckled.
"Girl, you better start talking." Alias told her. "My brother might okay your behavior because he's a f*****g simp. However, I want to know why the f**k you left with that arrogant fool. You probably like men like that."
"Alias," Adonis said his name.
"I'm starting to think that maybe you deserved your ass beat." Alias stated. "I bet if you was still with that guy, he wouldn't take your shit."
"Alias," Adonis sighed. "That wasn't right at all."
Natalie just stared at Alias and I watched as the tears fell from her eyes. She wiped her eyes with the back of her hand and looked away.
"Can you take me home?" She asked.
She didn't say anything to Alias or me. Her words was directed to Adonis. Adonis put his arms behind his head and exhaled, deeply.
"Yeah, let's go." Adonis told her.
Natalie walked away with Adonis. Adonis glanced back at me and shook his head. I mean, what was he mad about. He didn't have to deal with that when it came to his girl. Sighing, I glanced back at Alias, who was focused on his phone.
"You ready?" I asked him.
"I'm not getting back in the car with you." He told me. "I'm fleeting home."
"Man, what the f**k ever."
"Next time, handle your own relationship."
I stopped and looked at him.
"I had your back when it was you going through it. With Jesslyn, remember?"
"One thing about Jesslyn is that she knew who she wanted. She wanted me."
"Yeah, right."
"What?"
"You heard what I said. If you weren't around, I could've dated her."
Alias turned and walked my way.
"And I'm so happy I did step in." Alias smirked.
He got close and shoved me back into the trunk of my car. I slammed hard into the bumper, causing a deep dent in it.
"You will never have a chance with my wife." He told me.
"I don't want her now." I told him. "But, I wonder if you make her happy."
The pure hatred was seen on my brother's face. I got off the ground and dusted myself off. Alias shook his head at me.
"I get it. You wish you were me."
"f**k out of here. I'm fine the way I am."
"Sure you are. You go after all of the women I date. Natalie was just the dumbest broad you can get."
"She's not dumb."
"You're right. She's not dumb at all. She's only a dumbass for messing with you."
Alias fleeted, leaving me alone in the parking lot. My brother irritated me, sometimes. He always felt things were about him, which they weren't. Rolling my eyes, I got in my car and drove away. There was nothing left for me at that damned club.

I tossed my keys on the table in the kitchen and walked towards the stairs. Me telling you it was a lie that I tried to contact Natalie was an understatement. I couldn't tell you how many times I rung her phone, waiting for her to pick up. As many times as I called, it was like she put me on the 'no answer' list. That s**t pissed me off.
I went to my room and took my clothes off, then I laid down on the bed. Of course I tried to get some sleep, but Natalie was on my mind, hard. I wanted her with me. I just... I needed her. Alias didn't understand it, at all. I wrapped myself in my blanket and closed my eyes.
"He'll never understand." I whispered.
