Ayden and Alias really pissed me off. After that stuff at the club, I had nothing to say to them, especially Alias. He threw a low blow at me last night, talking about the domestic violence situation I had. Nobody deserved that, especially me. It was now Saturday and I was scared out of my mind. How was I going to tell Bryce that Ayden was not going to be showing today? The one job I really wanted and I got it and the guy I need was not going to be able to help. Talk about bad timing.
As I got ready, I heard a knock on the door. I rushed downstairs and opened the door. Dylan stood there, staring at me with a worried look on his face. I gave him a small smile and moved out of the way.
"How are you?" He asked me. "You didn't call me last night."
"I'm sorry." I told him. "I had a lot of things on my mind."
"Was it Alias and Ayden?"
I shut the door behind me and glanced at Dylan.
"Yeah." I told him. "More Alias' words."
"What did he say to you?"
"That it was my fault I was beaten because of my attitude. He doesn't understand all I went through with Mason."
"I know, dear. What did Ayden say?"
I rolled my eyes as I walked over to the couch and took a seat.
"What could he say? He didn't even confront his brother when he said it. I swear, sometimes I feel like I messed with the wrong guy. He's so sweet and a gentleman to me, but outside of that, I feel Alias is better. He has the Alpha male attitude and that just.... UGH... It turns me on."
"Maybe because you still have feelings for Alias?"
"I don't care about Alias. He's dating a girl I'm cool with. Besides, I'm messing with his brother now and...."
"I think you need to ofocusn work and not the men in your life."
I covered my face and groaned.
"What am I going to do?" I questioned Dylan. "I'm not talking to Ayden and I know he's needed for the shoot with Bryce."
"Tell Bryce the truth." Dylan suggested.
"So, he could throw me out of his studio? No, I'm going to have to figure out something."
A chime came in from Dylan's phone. I glanced at him as he looked at the message.
"Well you need to hurry up because he just messaged me about the shoot."
"Oh my god."
I got off the couch and paced back and forth. What the hell was I going to do?
"I think you need to call Ayden." Dylan suggested again.
"We're not talking to each other."
"If you want to keep this job, you will."
Dylan took his keys out of his purse and smiled at me.
"Now, where does this pretty boy live at?"
***
Ayden stood at his front door, staring at me. I rolled my eyes and looked the other way.
"Okay, well since nobody is talking, I guess I will." Dylan chimed in.
"What's going on?" Ayden asked.
"We need you for the shoot."
I glanced at Ayden, who was now staring at me.
"I see she's still not talking." He said.
"I have nothing to say to you." I told him.
"Natalie, cut it."
Ayden leaned against his door with his arms folded over his chest.
"Do you have to work today?" Dylan asked him.
"I called off." Ayden admitted. "I wasn't in the mood to work."
That made me look his way. Ayden never called off of work for anything. Just like Alias, he was a workaholic. So, what made him call off?
"I do have time today." He said, staring at me.
"You already said you couldn't do it, so why bother?" I asked.
"Because you're my girl and I want to do it for you."
My phone started ringing and I sighed as I knew who it was. I took my phone out of my purse and glanced at the caller ID. Bryce never hesitated once it came to business.
"He's calling you?" Dylan asked.
"Yeah." I told him. "We have to go."
Ayden tapped the door and moved out of the way. Dylan and I walked in and took a seat on his white leather couch. Ayden walked over to us and sighed.
"Give me ten minutes." He told us, then rushed up the stairs.
Dylan nudged me and I sighed. Just because he was going, didn't mean I wasn't still angry with him. I leaned against the couch and closed my eyes.
"Still tired?" She asked me. "What did you do while you were home alone?"
I opened my eyes and glared at him.
"Nothing." I told him. "I went to bed."
"Ayden didn't give you any?"
"He was here. I didn't want nothing to do with him."
"And where are we sitting now? In your man's house?"
"Stop it."
Dylan always embarrassed me. Ten minutes had passed and Ayden walked down the stairs, looking really good. He dressed causally, which was something I never seen since him and his brother always wore suits. Ayden walked to the couch and stood in front of me.
"Are you ready?" He asked me.
"Um, yeah." I got off the couch.
Dylan and I walked out the house first, then Ayden followed. He locked up and followed us to the car.
"Ride with me." He told me.
"Um.... I came with Dy-."
"She'll ride with you." Dylan rushed off to his car.
Sighing, I followed Ayden to his car and the both of us got in. Ayden started the car up and pulled out of his driveway. He followed Dylan to Bryce's studio. The car ride there was quiet, but my eyes was sneaking looks. Ayden was just looking too fine that day. When he glanced at me, I immediately turned my eyes to the passenger window.
"Are you okay?" He asked me.
"Yeah." I told him.
I glanced back at him and gave me a small smile.
"Thanks for doing this for me." I told him.
"It's cool. You owe me, though." He chuckled.
"And what do I owe you?"
"An actual date."
I didn't say anything. We've never been on a date before, but I wouldn't say no to one. I just hoped Ayden was good at holding a conversation. Us staring at each other and smiling was not what I was talking about, either.
We finally made it to Bryce's studio and I saw Bryce outside pacing back and forth, on the phone. He looked angry. Ayden and I got out the car. Dylan got out of his car and walked over to us. The three of us went over to Bryce and he got off the phone as soon as he saw us.
"Please tell me you guys are ready?" He asked with a pleading tone.
"Yeah." I told him.
"Good. Let's go."
***
"Oh my god, I'm so nervous." I whispered.
My hands were clutched together. My legs were shaking and I couldn't control them at all. It was like they had a mind of their own. I kept looking at myself in the mirror, wondering what was off about me. There was nothing. I looked good, but was nervous as f**k. Was it because it was a romantic modeling shoot. Where I was going to have to touch and be touched by Ayden. Why was that acting like a surprise to my mind. Ayden had already touched me, multiple times.
A knock came on the door and one of the hair stylists walked in.
"Are you ready?" She asked me. "You've been in here for almost thirty minutes and Bryce is getting worried."
"Is he out there?"
"Bryce, yes."
"Ayden?"
"Ohh.... Yes."
She smiled at me as she grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the bathroom.
"He looks delicious." She told me. "You're a lucky girl."
"Ha, I guess." I smiled.
She pulled me into the room. Across the room, Dylan, Bryce and Ayden was over there, conversating about something. My eyes, however, could not stop wandering south. Ayden was.. Wow, he looked good. Maybe because we always had s*x in the dark, but now that I was actually seeing him, I could see why women would drool over him. It wasn't surprising. The VinBlack brothers were complete eye-candy.
"He looks good, doesn't he?" The hairstylist asked me.
"Too good." I chuckled.
Ayden caught me staring at him and glanced in my direction. I was nothing special. I had a beautiful black laced bra and matching panties. They really hugged my figure, perfectly. Bryce and Dylan walked over to me. Bryce walked around me and sighed.
"You look good." He told me.
"Thank you." I replied.
"Now, look. This is a sensual photo shoot. In other words, I want to see the love you and him have for each other when in close range. I don't want that shy girl s**t. None of that. The one photo I like will be going in the February issue for Valentine's day."
"Okay." I nodded.
I understood him. Bryce walked off and Dylan turned to me.
"What are you thinking?" He asked me.
"I'm nervous." I told him.
"Why? He's the same guy."
"I know."
Ayden walked over to me and when I say he smelled divine, he did.
"Okay, let's do this!" Bryce shouted. "Natalie... Ayden... You guys are up."
Ayden walked over to Bryce, but I stayed where I was. Why the hell was I feeling weird around him, all of sudden?
