04: A New Luna

Days after Nathan’s coming of age, he’d regret everything. Problems keeps on coming one after the other, it almost made him lose his sanity. He did.
And today, the news flash was there is a rogue trying to attack the pack house, extra guard have been kept open to the enclosed gate of the pack and he’d ordered to be brought at least one of them.
He needs to know why they are on the run and why they want to attack his pack. He had informed his father about the situation at hand but the old Alpha being him told him to handle everything by himself.
Nathan has always wondered what will happened if he makes a wrong move, he knows it is not something to wish for or something to wish to see but he always had that thought in his mind.
What will happen to him when he mess up his pack? Will the pack members still forgive him? The door badged opened, revealing the beta who happens to be his childhood friend but they had lost the mutual feeling long time ago.
“We have caught half the rogues and they are in the dungeon as we speak, except none of them wants to speak. They kept on insisting on keeping mute.” He informed with his hands folded behind him.
Nathan strengthen on the chair, he knew something like might happen. He has heard stories about rogues under attack from his mother but what he doesn’t know about this rogues is if they are under attack or they want to attack. Either way he has to find out.
He followed Beta Dylan to the dungeon to see the rogues, with the daily activities taking place in the dungeon it always looks neat and nice. “Where are they?” He questioned feeling his patience coming to a halt.
They stopped in front of the biggest dungeon in the pack, the cell pack could consist more than a thousand of wolves and none of them can escape the building with triggering an alarm.
“Open the door.” His vice roared causing the guards to flinch. “But sir, they are dangerous, they might harm you.” A guard said trying to stop him from entering.
“Well, they can only try and see.” Nathan smirked moving inside the cell pack.
Each an every one of them had his head bowed down, nobody was willing to talk among them but he will force them. “Who is the leader here?” He asked in a calm manner.
Instead of getting a response, only their harsh breathing was heard. “I asked who is the leader here?” He asked again but this time his voice came out hard and clear.
A slim petite girl came out of the crowd, she doesn’t seem weak and also from the way the rest were trying to protect her means she might be the leader of perhaps a Luna.
“I am the leader of the rogues. How can I help you?” She asked lowly.
“How can you help me? Lady, you are in my land so I am the only one that has the rights to question you.” Nathan scoffed at the ending.
“Who are you and where are you from?” He raised a brow, expecting an answer from her but he got a glare.
“I said who are you and where are you from or are you deaf?” He folded his arms in anger. The lady was trying to step on his toes by the looks of it.
“I am the Luna and also the last descendants of the kings pack. My parents and some of the pack members were killed in an attack, we had no where to go because our pack house was taken so we are on the run.” She replied, even though she was narrating a sad story, her face held no emotions.
“I see. I will send my men to check what you have just told me and if everything you said was a lie, I promise to kill each an every one of you.” He threatened leaving the cell.
“I want them to be served with the best food you can get them.” He ordered Dylan while heading towards the door.
Today, he was asked to pick Lizzy from the pack school, today was her last day and she had been throwing a fit about how she will badly miss her friends and the teachers.
She had even begged their father to allow her to finish her whole studies, she won’t mind not going to a college but he was against it. “She is a lady and also a Luna in making. She needs to learn everything about being a Luna.” Their father had said when Nathan wanted to ask on her behalf and after hearing that from him, Nathan could do nothing.
He wants his sister to be among the best Lunas in the universe and if she keeps going to pack school, she will be more than distracted because she won’t have enough time to focus on her Lunas classes that will be offered to her by the pack’s mistress.
It only took him fifteen minutes to arrive at the pack school, the gate was empty indicating that classes where still taking places. The guard bowed to him, their Alpha in respect before he went to the class he had once found Lizzy in.
The class was a biology class, class that has to do with the students learning about different species in the universe. The teacher immediately stopped talking the moment she spotted him, he ushered her to keep on going.
He didn’t go there to distract them but to get his little sister. “This is the end of the class and also I believe Elizabeth had something to tell us.” The teacher said, moving to sit on her chair.
“It must have been a pain standing for half an hour.” Nathan thought, it almost came out audible but only for his ears to hear.
He watched as his little sister passed out her message, sentforth message and he felt sad on her behalf. She will surely miss them.
