Brody's point of view
In the last week and a half, the witches and warlocks have doubled all over the forest. Other packs have reported a lot of rogue attractivity but no attacks.
Our pack has doubled up on warriors at the borders. No one was allowed in or out of the pack currently, and I know the Alpha is a ball of nerves.
As I was in a meeting with the Alpha when I noticed the blue sky change to grey. Everyone in the room saw the sudden change.
'Anything going on at the border?' I asked my second in command, Kevin.
'No. Those on the outskirts are looking up at the sky,' He said back.
"What the hell is happening out there?" Beta Charles said.
"I'm not sure, but the witches and warlocks are looking up at the sky," I said.
Before anyone could respond, the Alpha's eyes glazed over, and he growled.
"Those dang witches want to talk." The Alpha said as he walked to the door.
Alpha Grey, Beta Charles, and I quickly left the Packhouse and transformed into our wolves. We ran to the border, and when we saw a group of warriors protecting our territory, we changed back into our human forms and out on a pair of basketball shorts we had hidden.
The Alpha walked up to the border. I followed behind him along with the beta.
"I am Alpha Grey of the Golden Shadow pack. What can I do for you?"
"My name is Margo, white witch to the coven of Arrow. The Gods have sent us to find the supreme witch, and it appears you have her." Margo said as she pointed to the sky and a lightning bolt hit the ground.
"We would like for you to hand her over." Another witch said.
"We have no witches on this land." The Alpha said in a stern voice.
"You would not know if you had a witch or not on your land. Today is her birthday, and she just got her powers. She needs to be trained," Margo said.
"We have no witches on our land. Only wolves," The Alpha said.
"What about a human? "
'Do not say anything about Maya,' The alpha said through the link to everyone.
"No humans."
"Can we investigate what is happening then?" Margo asked.
"No. This is pack land, and I suggest you leave." The Alpha said.
"We will leave peacefully, but if you have the supreme witch here, he will come for her. It might not be today or tomorrow, but he will come, and when he does, he will burn your pack to the ground." Margo said, and before anyone could say anything, they disappeared.
"I want everyone to remain vigilant. No one in or out. Charles and Brody come with me." The alpha said as he walked away.
When we were out of earshot of the warriors, the alpha said, "Do you think Maya could be the supreme witch?"
"No, she is just a human. We would have sensed something."
"The witch just said that she would appear to be human. I want you to get Maya and bring her to the office. We need to see if her scent is different or if she knows what is going on."
"Yes, Alpha."
Maya's Point of View
After the lightning bolt hit me, I felt a power surge through me. I stood up and began to walk towards home.
'You must return to school," A voice said.
I looked around, but no one was there.
'Return to school. Your father is on the way. Do not speak about what has happened.'
I turned around and began to speed walk towards the school.
"Who are you?" I said out loud.
'It does not matter. When your father comes to get you, he will ask questions. You can not tell him what happened today.'
"Why?"
'Maya, your life is about to change. I need you to stop walking, close your eyes and think about the scent of your body wash. I will come to you and teach you.'
I did as the voice said and stopped walking. I closed my eyes and thought of my lavender and sage body wash. When I was done, I swore I smelled my body wash.
I quickly walked to the school and straight to class. I wasn't late because lunch had just ended, which I was thankful for.
"Where did you go?" LIv said as she sat next to me.
"I went to get some air."
"You saw that storm?"
"I did. It was freaky."
Liv and I got our stuff organized as people began to walk in. As students sat down, they were talking about the storm and were curious about what happened.
One moment the sky was blue, and then next, it was grey, thundering, and lightning and then back to blue in a matter of seconds.
Once Mrs. Keller walked in, she began to teach. We were ten minutes into the lesson when the phone rang, and I was sent to the office to go home.
I went to my locker, grabbed my stuff, and headed to the office.
"Hey, dad," I said as I walked into the office.
"Hey, pumpkin," He said as he hugged. He sniffed me, which was weird. He never smells me.
"Ready to go," He asked.
"Ya."
We began to walk out of the school, and when we got into his silver truck, I said, "So why did you get me from school today?"
"The alpha needs to see you," MY dad said as he began to drive.
"Why?"
"Because he has some questions for you."
"About what?"
"You find out when we get there."
I sighed and looked at him. "Am I in trouble?"
'No, honey."
It didn't take us long to get to the Packhouse, and once my dad parked, we headed up to the alpha's office. My dad knocked on the door, and when the Alpha said, come in, we walked in.
