Thea's pov He was standing in front of me, yet his face was smirking instead of frowning. He came closer and pinned me against one of the trees. His fingers gently lifted my chin whereas his eyes looked straight into mine. "Where is my dear wife running to?" Words came out of his mouth. "Alan!" My voice was shaking and couldn't utter a word except his name. "Answer me, Thea!" He questioned with a smile. "I-I was ju-st out for a w-alk!" My lips lied. "Alone?" His brows twitched. All of a sudden, his gaze noticed my stark feet replenished with dirt. "Princess is taking a walk barefoot, very down to earth!" Having said that, he lifted me in his arms. "Let's continue our conversation at home!" He carried me all the way to his mansion. *** Upon coming home, he rested me on the bed and knelt before my feet. "Shall we play a game?" His head slightly tilted to the left. "What game?" "Every time your answer is wrong, I'll ship out one maid to hell!" "You can't kill them!" "My mansion, my people, my games!" He commanded all the maids to stand in a vertical line. "Shall we start?" His gaze was mischievous. . . . "What were you doing in the forest?" "Uhm..Uh…" "If you don't answer within five seconds, one of them will lose their life." "I was out for a walk!" "Dang! Wrong answer!" His feet slowly moved to a maid standing in the corner. He took out his sharp claws and slashed her throat, she struggled to death. "Alan! Please, stop this madness!" My desperate voice pleaded. "Shhhhhhhhhhhhh!" His finger hushed my pale lips. "We're in the middle of the game!" "What were you doing in the woods?" He asked me again. *Breath "I went to see my father!" "And how was the visit?" "We didn't get a chance to talk!" He removed his finger from my lips and took steps back. "How did you get out of here?" "Somebody left the main door open!" "Who?" "Maybe one of the maids or guards!" My lips lied again, but this time it was to save Damian. "Very well then!" He flashed an evil smile. . . One by one he killed every maid right before my horrified eyes and painted the white floor red. "There's no room for mistakes!" His deep voice mumbled. My soul was shivering from inside and my face was white as dead. "Blood is not new in this mansion!" A smirk arose on the corner of his lips. Because of my lie… All the maids lost their lives!!! "Your feet are wounded!" He glanced at the cut marks shrouding my feet. He walked over to the wardrobe and took out the first aid box. "Let me treat you, princess!" His palm gently held my feet and applied medicine as if he had a heart in his chest. "I can do it myself." "Accept my kindness when I'm being nice!" My eyes clenched tears and endured his touch until he freed my feet from his grip. "I am going to meet your father, hope you won't run away while I'm gone!" "Why are you meeting him?" "None of your concern!" His fingers tucked my hair behind my ear. *** My feet rushed to Damian and explained to him the whole situation with Father. "We need to plan another escape for you!" "When?" "Tomorrow night, we're holding a grand birthday party for Sienna. Everyone's gonna be drunk and least interested in your drama, so you'll have to find the right time and escape!" "I want to escape with Issac!" My voice demanded. "Sure, escape together!" "But where will you go?" He was inquisitive. "Somewhere far from Sollera!" My lips answered. *** Meanwhile in the palace… Alan's pov "Did you ask for me, your grace?" My tone was polite and respectful. "You're my son-in-law, and your well-being is my concern!" Words came out of his mouth. "What are you trying to say?" "Have you heard about the Moonstone pack?" "Of course, one of the strongest emerging packs!" "Moonstone pack's Alpha wants to join hands with you. And together you two would be irreplaceable." "As you wish, your grace!" "I knew you wouldn't say no to me." "How is my daughter?" He inquired of Thea. "Fine!" My lips glinted with a peaceful smile. "Tomorrow is Sienna's birthday, you're going to see her anyway!" "Right! I am missing her a lot." He had said. . . . Emery's pov "I made Alan what he is today, yet he betrayed me!" Rage ramped up inside my soul. "What do you mean?" Finley asked. After Silas's death, he became my loyal gamma and ever since then he never failed to prove his loyalty. Only three people know the real truth about my son's death… Alan, me, and Finley! He is like my family who will do anything to save me even if it demands his own life. "I wanted Alan to marry someone of royal blood, but he ruined everything for me!" "Princess Thea is the Lycan king's daughter!" Finley spoke in her defense. "Her mother was his majesty's mistress, she is an illegitimate child!" My soft voice groaned. "What do you want me to do?" Finley bowed his head. "I have to convince Alan to divorce her!" "He would never do that, she is part of his revenge!" My tight fist thumped on the table and flung a flower vase at the mirror, shattering it into a thousand small glass pieces. "Poison Alan!" "Madam!" Finley's eyes widened. "Don't kill him, just two drops to send him near death bed!" "Are you going to blame Thea?" His curious mind understood my vicious plan. "A princess who tried to kill her husband for her lover's freedom. This perfectly fits the story." "Alan will throw her out!" My heart was convinced. *** Later at night… Thea's pov *Knock A loud knock on the door pulled me out of sleep. I slowly walked over to the door and slightly peeked through it only to see Alan flashing a mysterious smile at me. His strength pushed the door and forced himself in. "Why are you here?" His presence creeps me out every time we meet. "Your father wants me to join hands with the Moonstone pack." There was something more in his eyes. "But that's not what I want." He explained. His feet moved closer and stopped inches apart from me. "Tell your father to kill the Moonstone pack Alpha and hand over the whole pack to your husband!"
