Pain and Cure

1084 Words
Thea's pov I stepped foot inside Ainsworth mansion for the first time and the feeling was far from pleasant. "Welcome, my name is Sienna, Alan's 4th cousin!" She seemed sweet and extremely polite. "Thank you for the welcome!" My lips smiled. Except for her, no one came to greet me, not even my mother-in-law! "Sienna, take her to the room next to me!" Alan's voice commanded. "Come with me!" My feet followed her upstairs to the beautiful, yet small room. "You'll be staying here" She muttered with excitement. My eyes looked around only to see dust all over the place. "The room seems quite abandoned!" Words came out of my mouth. "This used to belong to Alan's first fianceè!" She explained. "He was engaged to someone?" My eyes widened. "Before he went to war, he was engaged to Lady Freya, Blue Crest pack Alpha's daughter!" Her name wasn't familiar to me. "What happened to her?" I was inquisitive. "She died in a fire, and ever since then no one has come to this room!" Her eyes were deeply saddened. "I tried to change my brother's mind but he said you'll be comfortable in this room!" She murmured, looking extremely guilty. "Don't worry about it, Sienna!" My palm softly rubbed her back. "Let me know if you need anything!" Having said that, she stepped out of the room. My hands spent the entire day decorating that room since not a single maid was attending their new Luna. Later at night… I changed from my wedding gown to a simple one and headed downstairs to join the Ainsworth family for dinner. The table was empty, and even the maids were missing as if everyone was avoiding my presence on purpose. My feet walked over to the kitchen and stopped behind a pillar. Two maids were gossiping about their new Luna, hiding from everyone. "I heard a lot about her, she is the evil daughter of the Lycan king!" Those words shocked me to the essence. "Madam Emery gave strict orders to not serve her since she is the blood of a mistress!" Tears rolled down my eyes as their cruel words shattered my heart into pieces. "She won't be able to survive in this palace, especially with her lover here!" They mentioned Issac. My fingers brushed off my tears and my feet came out of the hiding shell. "Are you done disgracing my character?" I revealed myself before their eyes. "Luna!" They knelt and begged for forgiveness. "I didn't know the Ainsworth family's maids like to gossip about their masters!" Rage repleted in my eyes. "Please, spare our lives!" Both of them started crying in fear. "Where is Issac?" My lips questioned them. They looked at each other and were hesitating to answer. "Open your mouth!" My angry groan shook their souls and they gave in sooner than I thought. "He is in the darkroom downstairs!" One of them murmured. "You may go now!" My words commanded. As soon as they left, my feet rushed to the dark room. . . . "Issac!" My voice called his name as I entered the room. His hands were tied and so were his legs, he was in the worst position than a prisoner. "How could they do this to you?" My lips mumbled as my palms touched his cheeks. "Thea, you're here!" His soft voice soothed my soul. "I missed you so much!" He whispered even though his condition was far from uttering words. "We have to get out of here!" My lips explained. "Alan Ainsworth is dangerous, he would kill me and punish you worse than hell!" Fear was visible in Isaac's eyes. "There has to be a way!" My trembling arms wrapped around his chest and embraced him with warmth. *Slammed The door slammed open, startling both of us in that dark room. It was Alan, he caught us off-guard!!! "Are you done with your reunion?" His red glowing eyes glared into mine. He came closer and shoved me aside as if I was his possession. "Thea is now my wife, and you dare to spend time with her, that too in my absence!" The look on Alan's face was indeed of a psychopath, unattached to any sentiments. His claws came out and pointed at Isaac's neck. "Don't hurt him, please!" My lips pleaded, yet his eyes were merciless. "Thea, go away!" Issac wanted me to give up on him. "No, I can't leave you alone!" My words refused. "Let's do one thing…" Alan glinted a smile. "One will take punishment, and one will be spared, so who's gonna be my prey tonight?" He served us a choice. "Thea, go back to your room!" Issac requested. "No, you've endured enough!" My voice raised at him. "I will take your punishment!" Words came out of my mouth. "Thea!" Issac screeched my name. Alan clutched my wrist with his tight hold and dragged me to his room. *** Upon stepping inside his room, he locked the door and turned his head to me. "You will do anything, right?" He questioned. "Yes!" I nodded my head, clenching my tears from falling. "Nothing happens here without my permission, yet you went to your lover's room in my absence!" His fist thumped the wall beside him. "I heard you're allergic to oranges, is it severe?" His eyes were fixed on my lips. "Yes!" My soul was shaking. "Very well then!" A smirk brightened up his devilish face. His deep voice called a maid inside and commanded her to bring oranges. On his command, that maid brought five oranges and rested them on the table in front of me. "Finish them!" Alan ordered. My hands were trembling, yet they picked the first one and grabbed a bite. Within a few minutes, my chest was pummeled with pain and my breath stuck!!! The orange slipped from my grip and my body slammed to the floor. "You couldn't even finish one orange!" He mocked my weakness. "H-elp!" I somehow uttered the word and clutched his shirt tight. "Don't you ever try to do anything without my permission!" His masculine arms carried me to bed. "Bring that tonic!" His deep voice commanded the maid. She passed him the tonic and he made me drink it. Slowly my breathing came to normal, and my shivering stopped. "Now listen to me carefully …" He moved his lips closer to my ear. "In this mansion, I'm your pain and I'm your cure!" His gaze threatened mine.
