The grand wedding

1060 Words
On the wedding day… Thea's pov Father ordered the most gorgeous wedding dress in the whole Sollera, he wanted to show every eye how beautiful his daughter is. Not only that but he also ordered the shop owner to not make another dress like this, he was quite voracious about it. "My lady, you're looking gorgeous!" Elisa murmured while she tied my hair up. "Is that so?" I was the only gloomy one. "Alpha Alan would have a hard time taking his eyes off you!" She teased in her flirtatious tone. "I wish it was Issac!" Words came out of my mouth. "My lady!" Elisa was shocked to hear my words. "I thought you were marrying Alan Ainsworth on your will, are you hiding something?" She inquired. "Don't ask me any questions, Elisa!" My lips commanded. "Pardon me, but I am just worried about your decision!" She lowered her gaze to the floor and mumbled. "I am grown up enough to make my own decisions, so stop suspecting!" It was my first time being rude to Elisa. Silence replenished in the air as she kept her mouth quiet whereas my heart was heavy. "Are you ready, sister?" Athena barged inside. "Uh…Almost!" My lips responded with a smile. Athena is the only one who likes me except my father, she is different from her wicked mother and brother. "Oh, my God!" Her mouth was awestruck. "Am I looking bad?" My words doubted her reaction. "Quite the opposite, you're breathtaking!" She held my palms and squeezed them tight. "Everything happened so fast, I will miss you every day!" A warm smile perked up her face. "You can always visit me, sister!" My lips informed her. "Let's go now, Alpha Alan is waiting for you and as far as I know he is quite an impatient man! She said it as a joke. *** Father escorted me to the end of the aisle where Alan, that disguised beast, was waiting for me. Our eyes met… His gaze was cold and his face was hard to read as if he never knew about emotions. His palm moved forward and waited for mine to hold his. I took a long breath and slowly put my palm on his. Every eye was on us carrying the look of love, envy, anger, and happiness. "You've quite dressed up for someone who is forced into this marriage!" Alan whispered in my ear. "My father arranged everything, and as his loving daughter, I couldn't break his heart." My voice whispered back. A smirk appeared on the corner of his lips which felt like he was disparaging my situation! The priest started the ceremony and cheers turned into silence. "Recite after me!" Alan was the first one to recite the oaths. "I will stand by you my whole life even if it means going against the whole world" "Your happiness will always come first even if it means I am sad" "You will be my one and only woman, till my last breath" The oaths I wanted to hear from Isaac's mouth meant nothing to me when Alan recited them. His words were full of love, but my eyes could see his rage peeking through them. "Now you recite the oaths!" The priest pointed at me. "I will fulfill all my duties as your wife" "I will submit myself completely to you and your family's well-being" "For the rest of my life, I will only love you" My lips felt disgusted to utter those words, yet only Alan knew my agony. "You may now exchange the rings!" The silence again turned into cheers. Alan gently held my palm and put the ring on my finger. "It's your turn, Thea!" The priest softly murmured. My shaking hand somehow put the ring on his finger while he gave me the look of victory. "Congratulations, I may now pronounce you both husband and wife!" The priest shouted to the whole crowd. Alan moved his face closer to mine and whispered in my ear… . . . "Welcome to hell, wife!" *** Later at the after party… I was standing in the corner when suddenly, Madelyn spilled the red wine on my dress. "Oh, my God!" She acted amazed. "What should I do now?" Her words seemed out of concern, yet the look in her eyes was far from decent. "Your dress is ruined, I am so sorry!" She apologized. "It's just the two of us here, why are you acting so innocent?" My mouth bluntly questioned. "Hmm…You're right!" A smile gleamed on her lips. "How will you go inside with this stain?" She whispered in my ear. I clenched my palm tight as rage ramped up inside my heart. "Good luck, Thea!" She went inside the hall whereas my feet froze outside. The guests were waiting for me, but my soul was too scared to show up! Father spent so much on this dress, and now it was all in vain. Tears were about to fall from my eyes but suddenly his deep voice startled me from behind. "What happened to your dress?" He questioned. "Uh…Nothing!" My words refused to tell him the truth. Unexpectedly, he removed his long coat and covered my body with it. "What is this?" My lips softly asked. "No one can see the stain anymore!" He put his palm on my shoulder and opened the hall door. The moment we stepped inside, everyone was surprised as his coat was on me. "Stop looking, my wife was shivering!" His deep voice notified every ear present. "Do you need something hot to drink?" Father inquired, looking at me with his worried eyes. "No, I am feeling better!" My words played along with Alan's. My gaze changed direction to Madelyn only to see her burning with intense jealousy. A smile flashed on my lips as her plan to bring disgrace to my father failed. "Why did you help me, Alan?" I was suspicious of his motive. "My mother is here, and she wouldn't be happy to see that stain on your dress!" He explained. "So it was for her!" I mumbled. "Of course, because you are not worthy of my kindness!" His sharp words started to reveal themselves. "And one more thing…" He further spoke. . . . "We're not close, so please address me, Mr. Ainsworth!" His voice whispered.
