LILY'S POV
After safely placing the letter on her bed, I stayed upto late thinking that Hannah was coming to get me after reading the letter but that did not happen. She barely come to see me and I felt this constant throbbing at the back of my throat. I was in so much pain. My chest was heavy as if someone had dried it with cement. It was a painful feeling.
I had this high hopes that she was going to forgive me but it kind of seems like she doesn't want anything to do with me. It's crystal clear.
I cried myself to sleep as I hugged my pillow tightly to give me all the comfort that I needed.

THE NEXT DAY
LILY'S POV
I waited for a sweet gesture from Hannah but I hardly got one. She was avoiding me still and during lunch time, I decided to go and confirm if she had seen my letter. She was acting as if she had not heard from me yet I poured my heart out to her.
When I didn't find the letter I sent, I was so confused. There could only be two things, one, someone took it and read it other than her it two, she read my letter but she was not moved.
"What are you doing on my bed?" I heard her ask as she approached me from behind.
I turned to look at her and our eyes locked.
"Did you see my letter?" I asked.
"Yes, why?" She asked with her hands folded in front of her.
"Don't you have anything to say to me?" I asked as tears formed at the slit ends of my eyes.
"Well, we need to talk. Follow me," She said with such an unpredictable tone and I didn't know what to expect.
We walked to the garden and she asked me to sit close to her.
I crossed my fingers hoping that I was going to get something good out of this small discussion that we were going to have.
"I read your letter," She said, breaking the pin- drop silence.
"And…" I mumbled.
"Well, I need to tell you something,"She said and I paid all my attention to what she was about to say.
"The reason I don't talk about boys is because I am just like you,"She said and my heart skipped a beat. This is too good to be true.
"What do you mean by that?" I wanted her to expound the story so that I cannot make conclusions that might end up not being true.
" I am a member of the LGBT community. Actually my first girlfriend Stacey is the one who even helped me to come out to my parents because I was scared to do so," She said she had mixed feelings. Of course I was jealous that she had a girlfriend. But other than that, I am happy to learn that she is attracted to females. We definitely have a future together. We can paint our future starting from now if we want to.
"Well, you had a girlfriend," I noted.
"Come on, don't tell me that you are jealous," She patted me in a friendly way but truth be told, I was jealous. I wanted to be her only girlfriend.
"Of course I am jealous, I am so in love with you," I told her.
"Come on, you don't have to be jealous. The lady is past tense. She hurt me so badly and that is why I was afraid of acting on my feelings towards you," She said and finally I was able to relax.
"I am sorry that she hurt your feelings,"I told her.
"No problem, I am over it. However, I want you to promise one thing moving forward," She said.
"What? I implored.
"I want you to promise that you will not leave me just like the way Stacey did. Promise me that you will always love me and you will never betray me," She said.
"Of course my love, I will never betray you. I love you so much. " I told her and she was silent for a couple of minutes.
"Wait, is that a yes from you?" I had to ask because this is like a dream come true.
The person that I love so much loves me back and this makes me so happy.
I love her.
"I will never hurt you my love. I won't treat you the way Stacey did. Give me a chance, my love. Please say yes to being my girlfriend," I begged her.
