CHAPTER 14

HANNAH'S POV

The question had come as a suprise and I actually froze. I was not expecting that move already. The gaze Lily threw at me waiting for me to give her an answer made me want to disappear but I had to contain myself. I had to give her an answer because she was becoming impatient.

"Lily,"I started off but she interrupted me.

"Hannah, just listen to what your heart tells you and follow it. Your heart will never lie to you," She said.

"Okay…" I paused and took two deep breaths as I reflect over what she had just said to me.

The truth is that, I was on love with her. The problem that I had at the moment is the fact that I was afraid of a heartbreak. My last heartbreak crushed me and if I get another one, probably I would never recover.

As I made this decision, I hung to one thought and that is that, Lily was not capable of hurting me.

She loves me so much and I can see it in her eyes.

"Come on Hannah, say something,"She begged.

"The silence is killing me,"She insisted.

"Well, my answer is yes!" I did it, I said it.

CHAPTER 15

LILY'S POV

Immediately she said yes, I pulled her close to me and wrapped my hands around her neck.

"Thank you for giving me a chance, baby. You mean a lot to me. Thank you for trusting me with your heart. I love you more than life itself,I will never hurt your feelings my love" I told her just before I leaned in close to her and our nose was actually touching.

Maybe time stopped when my lips met hers, but the flutter only intensified. My heart pounded in my chest as my knees got weaker. I could only focus on how soft I felt against her mouth, how addictively she invaded all her senses. It's everything that I had ever imagined it to be.

In a few seconds, we were kissing like crazy. Like our lives depend on it. Her tongue slips inside my mouth, gentle but demanding, and it’s nothing like I’ve ever experienced, and I suddenly understand why people describe kissing as melting because every square inch of my body dissolves into hers. My fingers grip her hair, pulling her closer. My veins throb and my heart explodes. I have never wanted anyone like this before. Ever.

Feelings took over, and we continued kissing. We had to stop however when someone came towards where we were.

"What are you guys doing?" Mary asked when she came close to where we were.

"Nothing, why are you asking?" I implored with a stern voice.

"I saw you guys …" She started off but I cut her right away.

"You didn't see anything. By the way, my best friend and I have made up. You should stay away from her!" I warned despite Hannah gesturing to me not to be hard on her.

"Bye," Mary didn't know what else to do or say. She had to leave right away.

"We need to be extra careful or else we will get caught,"Hannah was already panicking.

Low key I had panicked, I just hoped that Mary was going to keep her mouth shut.

The last time people were caught kissing, sister Mercy called them to her office after which we don't really know what happened to them.

We had to hide this little secret from the world.

"I have heard you my love. We will be low key till we get out of this place and after that, we will show the world how much we love each other. I love you so much my love," I assured her as I interlocked her fingers with mine.

HANNAH'S POV

It has been a month since Lily and I started officially dating. Honestly, I love it here. Our relationship is perfect, clearly it was written in the stars.

We were always there for each other. Giving each other company and love.

Actually I feel guilty saying this but this relationship has somehow made me feel that I have made progress towards healing after all the pain that I went through.

We were very cautious. Luckily, Mary was adopted and therefore she left the orphanage and so our secret was going to be safe.

Today actually, we were going to look at the stars. We had a private place where Lily was waiting for me. We were very keen to ensure that no one follows or watches us.

"Baby…" Lily pulled me to her and gave me a kiss as soon as I joined her.

"Yes, love," I mumbled.

"Come, watch the stars with me,"She begged.

We lay on our backs and looked at all the stars in the sky, making it look beautiful and perfect. God's creation is really beautiful and perfect.

"Look at those two stars,"Lily pointed out.

"Yes, I can see them," I mumbled, looking in the direction she was pointing at.

"Well, that is me and you Hannah. We will be together forever my love,I love you so much baby," She professed.

"I love you too, baby, I can't wait for us to get out of this place and then we will vividly show our love without hiding.

"I want to flaunt you to the entire world because I love you so much,"I added and she turned to look at me. Our eyes locked.

Heat rose from my stomach to my chest. Lily's lips were getting closer and my heart decided to skip a beat, the smell of her hypnotic beyond reason. I parted my lips and felt hee washing over like a wave of warmth, curling my toes, unfurling all my senses as the taste of her nearly silenced all thoughts. I wanted more on this beautiful night, under the stars.
