LILY'S POV
I was sleeping when someone shook my shoulders rather gently asking me up.
I opened my eyes and I was shocked to see Sister Mercy standing right beside me with other girls behind her.
What is going on? Am I in any kind of trouble? I thought to myself.
"You thought I wouldn't find out!" The sister said through gritted teeth. Creases had formed on her forehead and she was practically breathing fire.
"What are you talking about sister?" I asked as I sat upright. I was puzzled. This must be a mistake. I hardly make mistakes. This should be Maddie's doing.
"I know your secret!" The sister said, raising her voice.
"Secret? What are you talking about? I don't have any secrets" I said. Something didn't ring a bell yet.
"Stop lying to me Lily. I know that you are a lesbian," She dropped the bombshell.
Just before I reacted Hannah called my name waking me up from that nightmare.
" Is everything okay, you don't seem okay," She noticed.
" I am okay. It was just a bad dream," I told her.
" Tell me about it, isn't that why we are friends?" She asked and I didn't know whether to tell her my secret or not.

LILY'S POV
I tried to pretend that I didn't hear what Hannah had just said but she was quite persistent.
"Come.on Lily, we are best friends. You can talk to me," She insisted but I had already made my decision.
I am never going to tell anyone my secret. If the truth gets out then I don't know what will happen to me since according to the codes of conduct of this orphanage, everyone is supposed to be straight. If not, you will never be adopted by the Billionaire's.
That will render me staying at this orphanage for the rest of my life.
I cannot risk it. I trust Hannah but this is my life. Plus, even walls have ears.
"I thought that you left me. I thought that we were not friends anymore," I lied.
"Come on Lily, I can never leave you. I value our friendship more than anything else in the entire universe,"She said this and I told her of what my heart felt.
"I love you," I said.
" I love you too, friend," She said and I wished that we were more than friends. She was too hot and one of these fine days I will not be able to handle it.
"Let's go for supper right away or we will run late," She advised.

HANNAH'S POV
Lily was such a nice person and at the moment I can't live without her. We have been close friends and actually as per now I feel like I can trust her.
"I hate her,"I whispered to her ear when I saw Maddie.
"She is so mean. I don't like her either,"She told me.
"If you ever team up with her, I will never forgive you. I can't stand losing you at this moment, I like you so much," I told her.
"I like you too," She said before looking at me with a warm smile lining her lips.
We served our food and went to sit at the corner. We were the first people to go for supper hence we had the privacy to discuss what we wanted to.
"Tell me about the outside world,"She requested.
"It's fun. There are so many hot guys," I told her, cracking a laugh, but she was not so interested. From what I gathered, I realised that we have never really discussed boys yet we are close friends.
"What about girls? Are there hot girls like you out there? I would really love to know," She said this and I was confused.
"Girls?" I dawdled.
"Yes, girls, is there a problem?" She implored but I quickly brushed it off.
Maybe I am insinuating something that is not true.
"Yes they are also hot,"I told her and she smiled as she stared into the distance.
"I can't wait to see them," She said and we remained silent as we ate our food.
"By the way, sometimes I wonder, would I be any different if I was living outside the orphanage? I really feel sorry for myself. My parents must have really hated me to abandon me here," She said and I really felt sorry for her, especially when tears formed at the slit ends of her eyes.
"We are here because of circumstances. For instance, I am here because my best friend betrayed me. He killed my parents and sent me here,"I paused because I couldn't control my tears. I started choking on my tears. My pain was still fresh. Despite all this time that has passed by, I still feel the pain. I don't think I will ever recover until justice is served. He must pay for his mistakes.
" I am really sorry,"She came to me and hugged me, giving me the comfort that I needed at that time.
"We need to get out of this place," I reminded her.
"We will dear, I will ensure that we get out of this place. " She said and I was happy.
"I am really happy that the two of us are friends," I said this from my heart and I meant every word that I said.
"Let's make a pact, we will always stick together," She said.
"Deal," I said.
"Deal," she said and we made a pact.
